Reconsidered
At first, I was happy with it like the screen size when you turn on it looks nice set up, but then I started noticing issues listening to music and then it would say that something stopped working and then something else stopped working and then there were several applications that were just stopped working. It was really slow so I disable like, a whole bunch of the built-in apps to make it a little bit faster and on top of all that every now and then the screen will shut off itâll still be playing music, but thereâs no display and I canât get it to come back on until randomly sometime later, so unfortunately, I had one with defects, Luckily the seller did issue me a full refund and told me i didnât have to return the stereo

theres nothing to hate about this head unit
first of all I read all the reviews on this unit and there “IS” a mute on this, hit the PWR button and it goes to MUTE , “hold” the pwr button down and it shuts off, every radio station in reach automatically went to a preset button just by hitting the search/seek button, this thing has unlimited presets that you can swipe left or right to access unlike other head units where you have to hit the FM button….second of all this went into a 1997 Infiniti i30 which had a factory Bose amp, stereo and speakers, with the correct interface module $29 on Crutchfield I was able to use the Bose amps and speakers, the unit looks incredible, the fit in my car was perfect, just a little filing along the faux wood grain trimming was all that was needed,Bluetooth was perfect, haven’t tested the NAV system orBack up works great, I was confused by the pink wire coming out of the harness labeled “back” I figured that was Back up camera and red wire coming out of the yellow RCA video connector but i ended up connection the two to each other and it worked finethis unit is basically a tablet that’s amped up with a FM radio with a killer set up , this can’t be beat for the $100 I paid for it,the cons:2) the instruction are in bad English but if you have previous exp in installing electronics and have a mind for figuring things out its a breeze,3) KM cant be changed over to MPHfor those who cant get sound out of it and are using an amp, the yellow “amp control” wire on the same harness as the RCA jacks might be your problem if you are connecting that to you amp, wire your amp to the RED wire that’s labeled “ignition” that solved my problem, got my 24 yr old car up to date with this multi-media system , I’m as happy camper too I love this piece it cant be beat, if you had bad luck with it, then its just that Bad luck, lets hope mine doesn’t conk out in a monthupdate had this unit 2 years and it still kicking and have had zero issues i removed 2 of the cons i listed becuase i figured them out , side buttons do lite up when i turn on my headlites and wifi and hotspots are working correctly , I came back to update because i bought another car and am installing another unit just like the one i bought , cant be neat

Great deal
Update: After using this stereo for a while, I still think it’s a great value. I DO highly recommend users check out different apps for the interface. These are called car-launchers and can be downloaded free (some) from the play-store. They allow you to change wallpaper and home screens, add or remove buttons, etc. With the addition of a good launcher this stereo really rocks! Sygic is a great Nav app for this stereo too, because it has a free version and works offline. Just download the maps for the states you want and no need for a wifi or hotspot connection.Original review:This stereo is a great deal with great futures, but a few limitations. I didn’t realize when I bought it that it didn’t have an SD slot, just 2 USB dongles. Not a deal breaker, especially at this price. Also didn’t realize there’s no AM frequency, just FM. I don’t listen to the radio that much anyway, but it’s a little weird. The built in tuner seems to work well otherwise.I’ve installed G-Play Music so that I have all of my favorite albums downloaded. The preinstalled app for playing local music can’t seem to find the albums I’ve downloaded, which means I have to open the other app. I also can’t customize the main display. Changing wallpaper does nothing and it appears that you’re stuck with the basic main screen as-is. Even deleting the music app that runs on the main screen doesn’t get rid of it.All of this may sound somewhat critical, but these are minor cons to an otherwise great system. Install was easier than expected. As soon as I had it running (and did the suggested reset) it began downloading updated apps from wifi -and an owners manual appeared. The sound is good considering I don’t have an amp and I just have factory speakers. It does have an EQ app so you can customize it to a sound you prefer, including balance and fade settings that work similar to a surround-sound interface. I haven’t figured out yet if there’s a way to use the rear-view camera when you’re not in reverse. I’m also curious about what other things I can tweak once I get deeper into the system. At the moment, I’ve only been using it a few days, and so far I’m very happy. I’ll update if anything changes.Edit: After using for a few weeks, I’ve decided that the USB dongle is really the best way to go. I loaded a few gigs of albums onto a stick, plugged it in, and the factory player found it immediately. The only problem I’m having now is that I did a reset at one point, and seemed to have lost my Nav app.

Like: It was easy to install as the wire harness of the old Double Din plugged right into the new Stereo. Plug and play for my car.Radio only has FM but is good and clear. Easy to use and sounds great for the price.WiFi and Bluetooth works great with my iPhone 8.Installed some apps with no issues other then it does not work with Netflix. The camera was a little difficult to wire in and get working as it would be nice if it was just wireless and you just need power to make it work. Running the wire to the back of the vehicle was not fun or easy.Played with the speaker balance and I’m not sure if it was something I did or if it’s the unit but it didn’t seem to make any difference to the sound when moving the centre point of the system with in the car. Again I will need to investigate more on the issues.

For me personally, on a 2015 Sienna, it doesn’t work:-will need to buy a vehicle harness.-instructions should be included for the unit itself to explain what the pins are on the actual unit-The 10.1 inch screen is too big for the factory bezel. You can cut your bezel to make it fit of course. I think a 9 inch would fit my Sienna, but I can’t find any out there.-the included brackets are useless. You will need to use it to extend your factory brackets to reach the mounting holes. It also should come with more screws and nuts/washers.-Dual USB Inputs do NOT work for my iPhone Xs. It doesn’t even charge.-The unit is really slow. 1GB DDR RAM is probably the reason (see screenshot).-not sure if this is normal but unit got warm after driving with it for less than 30 mins. Went for a drive, decided the unit wasn’t good, and proceeded to take it apart and felt the warmth (in the middle of -10 weather)-couldn’t figure out how to retain the OEM backup camera. Picture attached for anyone who is interested in figuring it out-didn’t bother with the steering wheel controls, it comes with a KEY1 and KEY2 wire. I know which pins are my SWG but I didn’t bother to figure it out.-didn’t bother with the included backup camera. Left it in the bag.-unknown factory password for one of the menus. Didn’t really matter anywayConclusion:If you have a “basic” headunit (ie. radio only) and are in need of an upgrade, then this product will work fine with you (will need to figure out the brackets to mount properly). But then again, I don’t know many cars that would even fit a 10.1 inch screen, let alone with these useless brackets. Most cars these days come with steering wheel controls and backup cameras, so they should really include detailed instructions and tips to get these working out of the box. Give this item a try, perhaps it will work better for you.

This thing looks gorgeous! Huge screen and really modernizes the look of the jeep.Pros- Looks great – Thin and no gawdy tacky buttons or anything- Touchscreen has decent dpi so things don’t look too pixelated- Android so lots of app supportCons-Slow. I think this could be related to the “0.75GB ram” (1gb listed in software). Google Maps, Youtube Music etc takes about 30 seconds to load.-Mounting hardware has the screen sticking out way too far on my Jeep JK – wish this was more customizable; Will have to custom fab a bracket-Default apps are a hot mess – Launcher is a bit tacky for my liking, maps app is slow, overall not a pleasant experience especially as it’s slow and clunkyLooking forward to trying out an unit w/ more RAM but this is a nonstarter for me.
