Excellent Device for safety
Driving a 15 year old car, I smelled exhaust inside one day and immediately bought this portable carbon monoxide detector. Obviously the exhaust in the car was from an open window and an unfortunate wind direction. Saved me a really expensive trip to the garage.

Boat trip
I used this for a boat day on the lake. I wanted to keep it on the motor side of the boat where people were sitting and at one point the boat set the alarm off while it was idling. I would highly recommend it.

Battery does not charge
Product is either defective or advertising is wrong – only works when plugged in which is inconvenient when traveling because it uses up a cable (which could be used to charge something else).

Great piece of mind.
I recently bought a diesel heater and wanted piece of mind while I slept in a small space. This device is extremely easy to use and read. Has alarm. And is rechargeable. So far so good

Well thought out design. Love having this for added safety when traveling!
I am impressed by this well designed portable carbon monoxide detector by Gedsffati. It blows away a different one I got just last year after reading about deaths in a hotel room caused by a faulty heating system leaking carbon monoxide. This display is colorful, bright, easy to read, and laid out well. The one button operation is simple and doesn’t mess up the device if the button is pressed many times or held down for a long time. Showing temperature and humidity makes it extra useful so I look at it more often. Being rechargeable means not having to carry spare batteries. I got the bright orange color so I would be less likely to leave it behind in some hotel room. When this one auto-calibrates, it finishes much quicker than my older detector.Something I don’t understand is why the manual has a caution to “Please charge the product with a power adapter that meets the technical specifications.” The charging input called for in the manual is DC 5V/1A. This worried me because the charging port is USB Type C and other devices that have required 5V/1A power did not work with the power protocols coming out of the USB Type C port of a power adapter. This Gedsffati detector worked just fine when plugged into a USB C power source! I even used a USB power meter to confirm that the detector was pulling no more than 5V1A from either a USB A or C power source. When the detector handles different input power sources so well, why the caution?According to the manual:The working environment for temperature is 32F to 122F (so don’t let it freeze), yet it can measure 14F to 140F (+/- 3%).The working environment for humidity is 20% to 80% RH, but it can measure 5% to 95% RH (+/-5%).My unit passed a smoldering wood chip, with no visible smoke, under a glass bowl test for carbon monoxide detection.I try to take this with me in the car and always when staying in hotels or on boats.

great gadget but needs charging often
I love the design and the display and the fact I can hang it. I’ve read conflicting data about where carbon monoxide settles, so I’d rather be safe and keep the monitor at eye level. I wish the display stayed lit, but I guess that would mean charging even MORE often. I’ve had it a few weeks and it holds a charge for 7-9 days, depending on how much the display is turned on. To read the display, you simply press the button, easy enough. I like the colors and the fact that it also shows the temp and humidity – fun perks. I suppose this item is more suited for a camping travel. BUT you’d still have to have a charger handy.

Simple to use and nice display, but read the manual
This seems solidly built and the display is bright and easy to read. The temperature and relative humidity are within a degree or percentage point of another device I have and I will have to assume that the Carbon Monoxide readings are equally as accurate but I do not have anything to compare it with. One button operation keeps it very simple to use. Long-hold to power on and off. A short press wakes the display up and toggles the temperature between F and C degrees. Charging is accomplished by the provided USB cable (no AC adapter is included). Charging from a discharged battery took a little less than 3 hours and powered the unit for a full 8 days in my testing.I believed a quick test of the unit would be the exaust pipe from my running vehicle and was shocked that the reading never went above zero so I decided to read the little manual (almost too small for my eyes to read) and it mention to NOT test it in this way. The lesson here was to read the directions! Apparently, the emmissions are so well controlled on the newer vehicles that there just isn’t enough carbon dioxode being expelled from them anymore. That is a good thing for sure. The recommended ways to test this unit is with burning paper or a lit cigarette. I only had the paper to test with and once lit, it began detecting the CO immediarly. A quick note, don’t look at the meter reading in one hand while burning paper is in the other for this test. Enough said…Do realize that this meter is for detecting carbon monoxide and NOT carbon dioxide (CO2). This is a nice portble device to protect you from the odorless and possibly deadly gas and I do recommend it.

False reading
This thing went off at 3am. Increased to over 200ppm. Fire department came out, nothing detected at all. Iâm past the return window but I want a refund. Get a more reputable detector.
