Wow! Tiny but amazing!
My dog and I walk in the woods every day and I have been frustrated with trying to take pictures with my phone. I’ve wanted a gopro kind of video camera for ages but they are so expensive. Then I stumbled upon this little gem and had to try it out. Trying to take pictures while my dog wants to go inspect things at the other end of the leash has meant I haven’t even bothered trying to take pictures of anything.I’m really happy with it! It was easy to get started, to get the memory card formatted, etc.I can’t believe how tiny it is. But it seems pretty capable for what it is. I like the image stabilization, and I’m glad I got the pro version so I can have an external mic. The built in one picks up mainly me fiddling with the camera, lol, but that might be a setting that I haven’t gotten to.I haven’t tried the remote control you wear on your wrist. And I like that if it’s recording video, after a set time it will stop the video and automatically start a new recording, so they aren’t too long.It came with 2 rechargeable batteries which is really nice.So basically, it’s affordably priced, comes with straps and a waterproof case and 2 batteries, and even more stuff, is really easy to use, and seems to do a decent job. It has image stabilization, which is better than my phone. The app is not that great. It crashes a lot but I don’t really need it since it has a touch screen on the back.Overall, I’m thrilled that I found this teeny action camera!

Akaso Brave 4 Pro is a sweet video recorder / camera for action travel
Bought the Brave 4 Pro for our 2024 Galapagos sailing trip. Overall I was very impressed with its capabilities and price point (compared with GoPro). There is a small learning curve to navigate and control settings.Captured snorkeling video with and without the Dive filter (better with filter on) and with the optional floating mount. Also took video and photos on island outings using the 360degree clip to backpack strap. And yes, an accessories kit is pretty much needed. This Brave 4 Pro did not come with an SD memory card. I purchased a 128GB high speed (U3) Scandisk only to learn that the max memory size supported is 64GB. The 128GB does work in the Brave 4 Pro, but I suspect it only uses the first 64GB. Also learned from the instructions that video is shot in 4GB blocks. These memory facts were not mentioned anywhere in the Amazon description of the product.Used the WIFI mode to view videos/photos on an iPad using the Akaso GO app. It worked fine, but the app is geared for the iPhone and does not take advantage of the larger iPad screen size. I did not download videos/photos to the iPad (not enough memory). Also purchased a 1T SSD drive to offload from the Brave 4 Pro. This path requires a PC. It would be nice if the Brave 4 Pro could write to an external SSD drive directly.Likes:* Small size.* Lower price point.* 170degree adjustable viewing angle.* Operating battery time > 1hour.* Really nice video and photo quality.Dislikes:* None found to date (have not tried all the features like electronic image stabilization and time lapse).Surprises:* Max SD storage size is 64GB.* Video is taken in up to 4GB chunks.

A quality action camera featuring video and still shots
This is my second Akaso Brave 4 camera. The first one lasted 5 years and successfully went on more than a dozen scuba diving trips around the world. Took it down to as much as 100 feet without any problem (inside the waterproof housing). The first one finally stopped working this last fall.I got the new Akaso Brave 4 Pro as a replacement and it arrived early this year. It has several new features including an underwater mode to help with the loss of color when diving, a set of four digital magnifications (field of view settings, like zoom) and image stabilization. It has already gone to Antarctica and where I used it to shoot video of wildlife (penguins) and underwater (with housing) at a shipwreck. It is working fine so far. The controls have been updated and become even simpler due to the forward facing second display that removes one of the legacy Brave 4 buttons. I really like this camera which is why I bought a second one. And did I mention that I believe it is economical compared to other cameras with similar features. So why only 4 stars overall? You need to change or recharge the battery after each use – expected and simple (I carry multiple batteries so that I do not have to wait for recharging). But each time you remove and reinstall the battery, the date/time resets to factory and you have to go into the settings and change it back to the current date/time. If they would resolve this one annoyance, then it would get a full 5 stars overall from me.

Awesome camera
This camera is an awesome alternative to the more expensive cameras. I use it mainly for our YouTube videos and film with the 2K anti shake tuned on, works great. The accessories that it comes with leaves no need to purchase extra stuff. Everything you need comes with it. I purchased a larger SD card to film longer. On the 2k setting, I can get about 2 hrs of steady filming time before switching batteries, witch is pretty awesome to me. The charge time is quick, about 1 hr, so if you have one battery on the charger at all times, that leaves you filming all day with no stops. I use my charger with a power bank, so no need for a plug in. I highly recommend this camera if you cannot afford the high end one.

Versatile yet user friendly little camera
I purchased this product for an upcoming scuba trip so I would be able to take photos of the dives. The case feels sturdy, the camera settings are easy to navigate, and there are so many included accessories that it was daunting when I first opened the box. I love that it comes with 2 batteries. I have not yet been able to use this at depth, and will update my review if any issues occur, but I do not anticipate any problems based on what I have seen so far. All in all, a great value.
