got a little over 2 years use
I am not sure of the lifespan of items like these especially in our brutal Florida heat, but i guess i am surprised it lasted as long as it did, very sturdy construction and nice angling choices, and the extra glue that came with it, really held for 2 years and one month till it finally fell off. tho the suction cup is nice and thick it appears that the heat eventually made it too loose and separated. i did try to fix it but no luck, this item is a great value for the cost, and i am happy with it’s performance and would recommend this product I just to document what happened, maybe the next one will last 3 years, lol

Very pleased
So far I’ve had 0 problems with this product. I’ve adhered it to the windshield, the dashboard (using the mount it comes with), and the air vent. It’s on a Ford F-150, and the vent rotates 360 degrees and is shaped in a circle. I used the vent first just to see because typically I don’t like the phone mounted there anyways with other mounts I’ve had since they don’t always hold the phone well, especially when hitting bumps. But the vent clip held up well in all situations while driving. I did this for 3 days since instructions recommended waiting 3 days after adhering the pad to the dash to putting the mount onto it. (I assume the weight of the phone may take it off if not given the proper amount of time to settle into wherever you place it).-Anyhow, the vent clip worked perfectly. Even with my 360 air vent. It’s long enough and strong enough when you tighten it as necessary.-The windshield, no problem at all.-The dash mount was my real goal. After waiting the 3 days as recommended in the product instructions, I fixed the mount and the phone to it. Bumpy roads, potholes, all non-issue. The suction is good. (I’d say incredible, but that’s a strong word for such an item). I have it mounted extended to 95% of it’s maximum distance putting it almost parallel to the distance my steering wheel reaches. Works great.Very happy with the product and would certainly recommend it to anyone else who was interested in having a phone mount in their car. Long drives, short drives, it makes using the phone while driving much safer and very convenient when using the GPS which I use often in my line of work.Very pleased. Will be getting another for my wife’s car now that I know it’s a reliable product.

I like this much more than I thought I would
My 8 yrs. old daughter put this together and we installed it with no problem at all. The only hicup was when we first postsed it on my dash board, it was warm outside and it fell off, but I think I didn’t press it down and hold it in place as firmly as I should have. When I re-posted it, it stayed and I haven’t had any problem since. I really like the various mobility and it feels much safer for me visually when I’m driving.

Overall a good product
Overall I would say this is a good car mount. There are a lot of nice features, although there is one glaring issue that prevents me from giving this a 5 star rating. My last phone mount was great until the spring holding the suction mount broke. That left me looking for a viable replacement. My criteria was:1. It had to offer solid dash mounting on a rough dash surface.2. It had to be easy to insert and remove the phone3. It had to be fully adjustable so as not to block my field of view.4. It could not block or interfere with any of the phone features such as charging port, volume or power switches. This mount met 3 out of the 4 criteria perfectly. As far as mounting and mounting options, this mount is stellar. It comes with both a suction mount and a vent mount, both of which work extremely well. The suction mount comes with a round pad that you can use if you are mounting on rough or textured surfaces. The pad glues onto the surface, and the suction then mounts onto the pad. Fortunately even though my dash is a rough surface, the suction alone was enough to hold the mount in place very solidly. The vent mount has a nice locking feature that keeps the mount held in place on your vent slots. Overall I would give the mounting system a 5 out of 5.Inserting the phone was really simple. There is a small protruding “ledge” at the bottom which supports your phone, and allows you to balance the phone on the ledge while you adjust the side arms. The arms lock into place and hold the phone very securely. The arms are also padded so they will not mar your phone. There is a small amount of overlap onto the side of the screen, so depending on the apps you use, this could create a problem. If you routinely need to access the side edges of your phone’s screen, this could be frustrating. Inserting the phone with one hand receives a 5 out of 5 star rating.Retrieving the phone was were I have the biggest issue with this phone. For most people this might not be an issue at all. Due to the contours of my dash the only place I have to mount the phone is just right of the steering wheel on the dashboard. For visibility, this is fine and I actually like the location as it provides for easy one handed access to the phone without me having to venture too far from the steering wheel. The problem is that the release tab is on the left hand side of the mount which means I need to reach behind the steering wheel in order to hit the release switch. It forces me to contort my wrist in a way that most human wrists do not bend. I’m forced to hold the phone with my right hand and use my left hand to reach behind the steering wheel to release the locking tab. Most other phone mounts that I have used have either release tabs on both sides of the mount, or a release tab on the back of the mount. Releasing the phone gets a 1 out of 5 stars.Adjustability on this mount was also great. The mounting arm can move up and down, in and out, and the mounting ball allows for full rotation of the phone. This system allows you to adjust the phone to almost any possible position. Movement was a bit stiff, but that is what you want so it doesn’t start sagging on you. The position of the lock wheels and adjustment screws was a little difficult to reach, but really you should only need to adjust it once or twice. I’ve seen better locking mechanisms on other mounts, but this one is plenty good. Overall I would give adjustability a 4 out of 5 stars. The overall design was well thought out. With the exception of the release tab, everything fits just right. I’m using a rather large phone (oneplus 8t), but I also tested with smaller phones like the essential phone, and it just works great. Nothing is blocked and you have full access to everything you need. I will say if your phone has a bottom mounted headphone jack there could be access issues for that. The little ledge does cover a good portion of the left and right sides of the bottom of the phone. Top mounted headphone jacks of course will have no issues. Also the opening at the bottom should be large enough for most USB plugs and dongles. So to reiterate my initial comments, this is an excellent mount. If it wasn’t for the poor placement of the release tab, I would give it 5 stars. If you mount you phone more towards the center of your dash, or if you are just going for the vent mount, this will not be an issue at all for you. Also if you have a bottom mounted headphone jack that you need to utilize, you may want to look elsewhere.

Great value
I haven’t bought a vehicle phone holder for many years and I had been using GPS a lot and needed something for my truck. This phone holder is awesome. It holds my phone great, the placement adjustments are great and the suction cup is great. It is very sturdy and well made. I have zero complaints and my wife who has one as well loves it.

Doesn’t last long in Texas heat
Ot does work great and holds most phones even with bulky cases, however I have had 2 order 2 in the last 2 years. The suction cup adhesive material just can’t seem to hold up to south texas heat. Ot starts to melt and lose adhesion. Usually around may or june it gets too hot for it to handle.
