Amazing Gaming Monitor, Never Had Any Issues
I purchased this monitor over 2 years ago in November 2021, and I’ve been very happy with it. The resolution/image quality and latency are superb, in my opinion. This has been my primary monitor since I’ve purchased it, using it at least a few times a week, and I’ve never had any issues with it. Assuming your PC can handle it, this monitor has worked great for playing anything from Red Dead Redemption 2 to the latest Call of Duty games at 1440p. You may occasionally need to adjust the graphics settings in the specific game you’re playing, but that’s due to the game being poorly optimized, and this monitor always displays a great image once that’s taken care of.Two things I’ll note which are not necessarily cons for me and my use case, but I wanted to mention them. Firstly, this is obviously an expensive monitor, and it’s possible that you’re looking for something less expensive that still ticks some of the same boxes as this one (just not all of them). So, if this monitor feels a little bit too expensive, that’s fair. I purchased it with the intent that I wouldn’t have to worry if my monitor display would be very high-quality at 1440p and there would be very low latency for FPS-games. The second thing I’ll note is that while the stand is clearly very high quality, it’s also a little awkward. It hasn’t been an issue for me, and it can be easily addressed with a monitor arm/mount, but it’s worth mentioning if you plan to use it in a confined space or a space with awkward dimensions. Overall, this monitor is great and I’ve been so happy with it.

Best Display Iâve ever owned
The PG279QM is the best display Iâve owned and was worth every penny.- Pros:⢠fantastic, detailed picture⢠best in class colors⢠the native g-sync module flawlessly handles changes in frame rate. New World at 1440p and max settings (for example) will regularly swing between 60 and 125 fps depending on whatâs going on in the game at that moment. The PG279QM is silky smooth and can handle such drastic swings in FPS without showing any immersion breaking tears, lag or stutters.⢠you can fully edit brightness and all display settings when in sRGB mode⢠Surprisingly bright for just HDR400⢠ASUS Aura Sync ARGB compatibility-Cons:⢠there is noticeable backlight bleed on all black screens (such as when you turn on the monitor). Turning off the variable backlight setting can get rid of this, but it hasnât been a big issue for me.⢠HDR400 with 16 local dimming zones isnât true HDR. Youâre not going to get an OLED or FALD IPS experience here.Summary: if you want best in class refresh rate but donât want to sacrifice on image or color quality, look no further.

Amazing
No dead pixels. Motion handling at 240hz is excellent in games like Valorant and Fortnite. Comes pre calibrated, colors and picture quality look great.I wouldnât use the local dimming or HDR, as it is not a great implementation. That said, I knew that going in to buying this so I was not disappointedAfter getting a Gigabyte M27q-X trying to save some money, it had so many issues (dead pixels, refresh rate would randomly lock to 49hz, etc) that I returned it. Asus has always been reliable, and this monitor is no different. Definitely worth the extra $

Checks all the boxes for what I needed, superb monitor!!
Donât really have much to say about this monitor as at the time of purchase, was the best monitor money could buy. It has tons of functionality and features built into it, Iâm not going to list everything, just know even today itâs still bad to the bone. If I could think of something to critique, would be I wish it would also come in a 24â size, also I kinda wish I hadnât paid the extra to get the one with GeForce chip installed into the monitor, as I like AMDâs graphics cards due to being more bang for the buck. I pretty much pigeon holed myself into using only GeForce cards or I wonât be able to take advantage of those extra features I paid for, and that sucks because GeForce has overpriced their cards for awhile nowadays and you donât get the same performance per cost as we once did. If youâre well off and upgrade youâre graphics card every couple years then ignore my review and grab this monster, although now you can get the same monitor with 300+ refresh rates for not much more.

This gaming monitor includes the resolution, refresh speed and tremendous colour presentation I was looking for. It is stable, smooth and flicker-free with all of the games and applications I use. The monitor includes a range of input/output ports that can support the latest GPUs at 1440p resolution. Like most Asus computer components, this monitor is built tough – the stand and monitor stem are metal and have a good sized cable pass through to help with cable management. Iâm happy with this purchase.

This is an amazing monitor. Upgraded from my old pg279q. Only had it 2 days so far, but received it with zero dead pixels and I canât even notice itâs an ips screen on the backlight bleed test. I may of gotten lucky ð. Not going into specs as you can read for yourself, I will say the hdr is much improved however due there is strobing in area of the 16 lighting zones when on a black screen and day your mouse is moving in the zones. I donât notice it when gaming though, and never thought I would play with hdr. But so far so good. The build quality is premium and the calibration out of the box is stunning. Will update if any problems arise.
