IT WORKS!!
I’ve had PLA filament that had been sitting around on the shelf for well over a year simply because the filament was clumping and not bonding correctly. I’ve purchased this dryer with skepticism thinking there wasn’t a lot of hope for the filament. Boy was I wrong, I let the filament sit for 48hrs in the dryer and attempted a job with it still in the dryer and it’s one of the best quality prints I’ve seen thus far. The layering is bonding perfectly and the layers are smooth to the touch. This device has made me a true believer in the importance of having a dryer for your filaments. Those of you who demand more out of your prints, you must get one of these!

Great Filament Dryer! Wish it had rear feed ports
Works great, holds two spools, and allows a 6 to 12 hour drying session. I love that I can use it while printing, as I can’t find filament inside my LACK-table enclosure. One difference I wish it had were feed holes in the rear instead of just the top, as this causes the filament to strain while printing.

Fan died but Seller was quick to offer to send a replacement
Edit: Seller contacted me and confirmed that the fan needed replacement and will be sending a new fan to swap with the bad one. Changing to 5 stars for fast service and a good unit that just has a bad fan. If you get this I would also pick up a cheap pack of 4010 12 volt fans so you can easily replace the fan, or just wait for the service response. The fan is just below the supports with 4 screws in deep pockets and the connector is held in with hot glue. This unit is good to dry out two 1kg rolls of filament at the same time and you can even feed the filament directly out of the unit into your extruder. The touch controls are a bit unintuitive but are quick to navigate as it is a very simple device, but effective. It is great for hydroscopic filament like PETG and is great to throw new rolls in just to make sure they are properly dry before first use!Bought this unit in April of 2023 and it is now Jan of 2024 and the fan now only makes an angry buzzing/growl noise with intermittent screeches. This unit was good while it lasted, but the fan is an extremely cheap choice for a heated chamber. I’m tempted to see if I can access the fan and do a fan swap and see if that fixes the issue.

Great filament but better kinds out there.
I recently got my hands on a spool of Comgrow PLA filament, and I’ve been putting it through its paces on my 3D printer. Overall, I’m impressed with the filament’s quality and ease of use, making it a great option for beginners. However, there’s one area where it could definitely be improved. Let’s dive into the details!Print Quality (9.5/10): This is where the Comgrow filament truly shines. My prints came out incredibly smooth and detailed, with crisp lines and minimal layer lines. The filament fed consistently through my printer’s extruder without any clogs or jams, resulting in a professional-looking finish. I was particularly impressed with how well it handled intricate details and overhangs, producing sharp corners and defined features.Sheerness (8/10): The filament boasts a good level of opacity, especially in the darker colors like black and red. While not perfectly opaque, it comes pretty close, and for most projects, it won’t be an issue. If you’re printing something that requires complete color solidity, you might want to consider a different brand or use a higher infill percentage.Adhesion (3/10): Unfortunately, this is the weakest aspect of the Comgrow filament. I experienced several instances of warping and curling during printing, especially with objects that have a large footprint or lack a strong base. This resulted in some prints lifting off the bed mid-print, causing failed projects. Upping the bed temperature and using a raft or brim helped somewhat, but it wasn’t a foolproof solution.Ease of Use (9/10): Despite the adhesion issue, Comgrow filament is generally very user-friendly. It doesn’t require any special printing settings and works well with a wide range of temperatures. The filament comes neatly spooled and tangle-free, making loading and unloading a breeze. Additionally, the vacuum-sealed packaging with desiccant helps prevent moisture absorption, ensuring consistent printing performance.Value (8/10): The Comgrow filament is priced competitively in the PLA filament market. Considering the excellent print quality and ease of use, it offers good value for beginners and hobbyists. However, if you require superior bed adhesion for complex prints, you might need to invest in a higher-end filament brand.Overall (8.5/10): Despite the adhesion shortcomings, I would recommend Comgrow PLA filament to anyone starting their 3D printing journey. The exceptional print quality, user-friendly nature, and competitive price make it a great choice for beginners to learn the ropes. However, if you’re an experienced user working on intricate projects that demand minimal warping, you might want to look for a brand with stronger bed adhesion properties.Additional Notes:It’s important to calibrate your 3D printer for optimal results with any filament brand. This includes fine-tuning settings like nozzle temperature, bed temperature, and printing speed.Experiment with different bed adhesion techniques like using a glue stick, hairspray, or a specialized 3D printing bed adhesive to combat warping with Comgrow filament. If you’re new to 3D printing, there are plenty of online resources and tutorials available to help you get started and troubleshoot any adhesion issues you might encounter.

The PLA filament is binding on the roll – COMGROW DOES STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS
FOR SOME REASON IT HAS LEFT THE SAME REVIEW ON AMAZON FOR EVERY SPOOL I BOUGHT FROM AMAZON WHICH IS NOT TRUEThere is no Stringing, Bubbles, and Oozing when printing. The PLA filament is binding on the roll, like it is wound too tight. As lond as I sit there and manually unwind the filament as the object is printing everything is fine. If i leave the printer alone for any period of time the filament binds up and stops extruding from the printhead.I have purchased numerous spools of Comgrow PLA and only had an issue with this one.The company is standing behind their products.

The Comgrow PLA White Filament is my go-to choice for 3D printing. It’s reliable and prints smoothly, whether I’m working on functional parts or creative projects. I’ve found that using filament from the same company that made my printer ensures the best results. The filament diameter is consistent, which helps prevent jams, and it sticks well to the print bed without warping. The spool is well-packaged, too, so I’ve never had issues with tangling. Overall, it’s a solid option if you’re looking for high-quality PLA filament that won’t break the bank

Jâai pu utiliser des rouleaux de PLA qui ont plusieurs mois. Le fil perd son côté cassant et ne fait plus de bulles à la buse.Peut être pas miraculeux mais très utile à mon avis.
