Seems to be working good with my VPN
Physically its small, probably half the size of my AX6000 Linksys. TBH you typically don’t need 6gbps if your max speed is 1gbps. Most homes would be fine with AX3000.Setup was easy, access the interface @192.168.10.1 in a web browser. I had to reboot my modem for it to be picked up by the router. You basically set type of role (router, extender etc.), WiFi and VPN. There is a plethora of other options in the advanced menu. The menu isclean, nothing too flashy and that is a good thing IMO.I was able to download my VPN’s Wireguard config and apply it under Wireguard client by uploading it. This should work in a similar way for other VPNs that use OpenVPN or Wireguard protocols.Apps that require a VPN were working with no additional VPN app running. You can also have it on/off for specific devices, very handy as for instance your blink camera or similar 2G device doesn’t really need it to be on or might have issues. As for WiFi speeds, router is in an upstairs office. I was hitting 350+Mbps downstairs on on my phone, that is with the VPN settings applied. No issues with buffering etc. So I’d say that is decent and comparable to my MR9610v2. I have 500mbps that hits about 560-580 wired.I’ll also check for a heatsink. If there are any bare chips I’ll add one or two as needed. My Linksys has a huge heatsink, probably why it was so stable but it had no VPN option.Cons, due to it being smaller has less LAN ports and no USB ports for network storage etc. This brand certainly has my attention and I might add an outlet mesh node down the road or of they bring out a more advanced one this will be the 2nd mesh. All in all a cool little device and no issues on day 1. I’ll report back on the heatsink and long term stability. 01/03/2024.

Nice price, very good range, very stable, great menu drive (GUTS)
I bought this to feed my Verizon home internet in to and get more ports. That dumb cube has only 2 hardwire ports on it so I needed something to get me more plugs, and broadcast the wifi from my Verizon out to the rest of the house. It is a nice price and really broadcasts out well. I am extremely happy with my purchase. The menu inside the guts of this thing is very well designed and easy access to what is needed, be it ports, settings, whatever. I love the Cudy’s setup inside over everything I have seen prior. I didn’t bother taking photos of this, but it’s very small footprint makes it very handy to put anywhere you wish. The 4 antennas gives it the good broadcasting we all know and love to use the wifi. Internet speeds stay up really well, and consistently match the Cubes speeds apples to apples. I wouldn’t hesitate to pull the trigger on this one if your looking for a great wifi device as this one is excellent – highly recommended!

Nice little router
Very nice, and speedy router with OpenWRT support, which you don’t find in a lot of routers in the US market. Once set up, wifi speeds are nice and stable.Only cons – 3 LAN ports – No USB port (not a complete con, but with OpenWRT, it’s nice to have a USB port for recovery) – fixed antennas, really limits the location, since the back antenna basically in an “L” configuration to the base, only going from left to right, mounting it to a wall may be problematic, as those antennas will be facing up and down as opposed to out

Happy with router!
We got notice from Xfinity that our old combo Motorola router/ modem wasn’t up to speed, since it had been dropping connection so often I set out to find a new one. Price was right reviews were good so I tried it. (And a new modem, a cody). This router is running really smooth and fast no drops im very happy. Setting it up was fairly easy what I wasn’t sure about was solved by my phones data and google. We live in 400 sq ft apt so that’s the only space I can review it for. Also I happen to get offered an Amazon card too so I got quite the bargain after that incentive was applied to order. All good!! Highly recommend!

perfect fit
This is definitely a no-frill box, but the features provided are implemented very well. I bought this as a cheap way to get run a OpenWRT based wireless extension for my home network. The most recent OpenWRT 23.05 runs on the device flawlessly. This device does not have an USB port, so the number of packages that could be installed is llimited.I just need a few features not available from other solutions. I use the 5Ghz band for backbone connection and full subnet routing support for both ipv4 and ipv6. I have been able to consistently obtain 300mbps through put on the wi-fi link. If you have a simple wi-fi application that requires somewhat unique features provided in OpenWRT (such as full frr support, ipv6, full dhcp support for both client and server etc.). This device is a very economical way to get what you are looking for. I highly recommend it.

Great while it Lasted
Absolutely liked this router! Powerful broadcast range, relatively easy to set up, unfortunately it only lasted 3 days, then would only broadcast intermittently. Unfortunately that is unacceptable and had to return it. I went back to a TP-Link router that is reliable. Other people had this same problem here in the reviews, these things happen. If Cudy can make this WiFi more reliable then they have a real winner. I thought I would get lucky and not suffer the issues of others that have reviewed this item, but I was wrong.

Supports OpenWRT
I can’t speak to the router’s software because I immediately installed OpenWRT on it. Its very easy and they have instructions online on how to do it. Since then I have successfully used this router without any downtime or need to reboot. It seems capable of all the functions of OpenWRT and I have zero complaints about range or wifi speed for my devices even though this router is being used as a repeater (connected via OpenWRT’s Dual Wifi to another router 100 ft away and through two brick walls).

Seems (not) to be great for the money
Great value so far.Easy to set up.The UI is simple.Amendment:The router quit communicating with the modem after only 2.5 weeks.I have to downgrade my score from 5 clear to POS.

I use this router to use WireGuard from NordVpn. Now I can conect my FireTV getting 309mbps (contracted speed 1gbps) using wireguard to watch spanish tv. Before, using the app, the max speed was 90mbps and using OpenVpn max was 120mbps. Very happy after flashed OpenWrt and installed WireGuard from NordVpn.I tried with other router, but the cpu is important too. This one got good cpu power to improve internet speed, but others wasn’t good and max speed with OpenVpn was 20mbps.Signal coverage is great too. Only problem I have is I can’t set up Wifi 5ghz at 160mhz because it doesn’t work, so max is 80mhz. I will investigate futher to see if I can fix it. Anyway, speed I’ve got over Wifi with FireTV is over 300mbps (4K UHD minimun speed is 25mbps).Good price, good quality, great features. Can’t complain at all. All good with Cody router.

10?) upgegraded. Jetzt also fünf Sterne!
