Good coupler. Not meant for modular wall plates
Likes: Look, function, number in package.Dislikes: NoneOrdered these mainly for those times when you need a few more feet of ethernet and don’t want to go to (or don’t have) a single long strand. Worked really well. Initial tests looked like I was losing a tiny bit of speed, but as later tests were faster I can only assume it was local traffic related. If these were also compatible with modular wall plates they would be amazing.

Genuine, can handle at least 2.5gbit/s
These couplers are definitely bulkier than the last ones I used. I really like their build, and how the wires are linked and hidden away. There is heft to each one, and it feels like this is a quality product. I think thy will last quite a long time. They can run my trunk network line from a separate building to the main home at 2.5gbit/s on some Cat6 cables, so, I think they meet my expectations. Overall, a good value at only $0.86 a piece, as of writing.

Precious Lug Nuts! Top Quality
These are what I call industry standard for high-quality connectors and cables. They do the job and should last forever. At ~$9 for 10, this is an excellent value.1 star off for Rando Brandnamian.

Very solid RJ45 couplers
If you need to connect network cables, you are going to need a RJ45 coupler. But beware, they are not all the same. You want one with a good, reliable connection and is well-shielded. These hit the mark and they are priced right. I’m glad I found this brand.

Signal loss, best used as only a temporary solution
PROS:- Low cost per itemCONS:- Some signal loss on connectionsMy new go to method for testing Ethernet cables has been to use them with a HDMI transmitter/receiver pair I have, as it shows any signal dropouts or other issues as visual artifacts. For this test, I needed two cables that were verified to give a perfect result when used on its on. Instead of the single 50 foot run I had been using, I went with two 15 foot cables with the thought of going longer if the test with those worked out. Each cable was first tested on its own, and there were no visual artifacts. When both were coupled together, however, there were immediate visual artifacts, such as signal dropouts illustrated by thin black lines and dancing “sparklies” in other parts of the video, and indication of corrupted data. Worse, the video would occasionally drop out completely.I then selected a second coupler from the package and tried again, with the same result. Reverting to a single cable alone resulted in stable video with no artifacts. The only reason I’m not giving an even lower rating is that I had similar results using a coupler I already had, suggesting this is simply endemic to using a coupler. If one is using this with a TCP connection were lost packets will be retransmitted, the result would be a lower data rate, and could be tolerated, especially if the data flow was at a lower rate than the maximum (e.g., a device connected via gigabit Ethernet to a 250Mbps internet connection). For UDP connections (more commonly used for video and audio streaming), however, this will be more problematic.Based on my testing, these should only be used as a temporary solution until a proper single longer cable can be obtained, or where only TCP connections will be in use and the lower effective data rate tolerated.

Good, practical set of couplers
This is a practical set of couplers that helps whatever your Ethernet cable situation is. If you need to link several, these work great at giving you a longer length, and I don’t notice any slowdown in speeds. Considering the cost of longer cables and the hassle of changing them out, simply using these and adding a short cable seems the easier option in many cases. They work well.

GREAT time/work saver!!
I had bought one of these a while back to make a run with 2 cables which worked great. Now I want to move my switch, but I would rather not run all new cables to the entire house. With these I can just get 8 shorter cables, plug them into the current cables with these, and run the cable from there to the new location of the switch. At roughly a buck a piece, it is a whole lot cheaper to get some 5 foot cables and these than getting 8 new 50-75 foot cables.I haven’t noticed any drop in performance but then again my network is only a 2.5 gig network so I can’t say for sure if there would be any issues at higher speeds, though I doubt there would be.
