Great value
CAPUP Ethernet Splitter 1 to 2: Sharing is Caring (With a Few Catches)Overall Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsFor: Budget-minded users needing quick and simple network expansion, home office environments, connecting low-demand devicesAgainst: Performance limitations, potential reliability issues, limited featuresPerformance: 3 out of 5 starsThe CAPUP Ethernet Splitter promises gigabit speeds for two connected devices. While it delivers decent throughput for basic internet browsing and streaming, heavy data transfer tasks or online gaming can reveal its limitations. Expect potential speed drops, especially when both ports are actively transferring data. Additionally, long cable lengths (beyond 100 meters) can further impact performance.Ease of Use: 5 out of 5 starsThis splitter is plug-and-play simplicity at its finest. Just connect your existing Ethernet cable to the input port, plug your devices into the two output ports, and you’re good to go. No software configuration or complicated setup required.Features: 4 out of 5 starsThe splitter boasts a compact design and USB-powered operation, making it a convenient and portable solution. However, compared to higher-end switches, it lacks features like VLAN support, priority queuing, or traffic management.Value: 4 out of 5 starsFor its affordable price, the CAPUP splitter offers a quick and easy way to expand your network for basic needs. However, considering potential performance limitations and the lack of advanced features, it might not be the best choice for demanding users or complex network setups.Things to Consider:Performance: Don’t expect true gigabit speeds under heavy load or with long cable lengths.Reliability: Some user reports suggest potential dropouts and connectivity issues in specific setups.Limited Features: No advanced features like VLANs or traffic management for more complex network needs.Final Verdict:The CAPUP Ethernet Splitter is a budget-friendly solution for simple network expansion in home or office environments. Its ease of use and compact design make it convenient for connecting low-demand devices. However, keep in mind its performance limitations under heavy load or with long cables, potential reliability issues, and the lack of advanced features. If you need a quick and basic network expansion without breaking the bank, the CAPUP splitter might be a suitable option. But for demanding users or complex setups, consider investing in a higher-end switch with better performance with extra features

Compact & easy to mount
I really havent had time to test & evaluate this product but so far it’s working. I was running my laptop wireless off the router & a friend said it would increase response time by using this splitter directly to the router and running an ethernet able from it to my laptop. Hard to measure the difference but it seems to work well without delay. I mounted it with double stick tape to the side of my office desk and its out of way & close to my printer with it also hard wired.

WFH and needed two extra ports
The quality is amazing, I wasn’t expecting it out of a little block. No issues with connectivity or performance. The size of it is like 1 1/2 inch by 1 1/2 inch (not exact just estimating but it’s very small). It was also very easy to install!

Works as described
The usb-c cord that powers the splitter is really short, I had to spend extra to buy a 10ft cord. Works well with high speeds.

Worked for my 2 router application
I have a router that apparently has no drivers on my Windows Computer. One router will work on Windows and the other works on both Linux and Windows. I was not sure if this product would split my incoming line and drive two routers. Everything worked as I had hoped. Having 2 routers side by side looks weird by I can not connect each operating system to the internet. BTW the TP link router would not connect the router to the internet. Nighthawk worked great but a little slower and a little less range.

SAVED OUR GAMING!
Recently my boyfriend decided to also get a PC so he could play games with me. I was connected via ethernet because, well duh, it’s gaming. His computer was so slow during downloads since he was only on wifi. We bought this little device and for the price it’s great! It’s super easy to install and even if you’re not tech savvy you could easily put this together. It just sits by our modem and has one plug that goes into them modem, then two ethernet cords coming out to mine and his computer, and a plug to go in the wall to power it. This was a life saver since my modem didn’t have enough ports on it! Very happy so far.

Seems to split evenly
I was using this for 2 of my computers, one for hosting servers the other for gaming. I have Gig plus internet and it seemed to split the speed perfectly, averaged 4-500 on both computers. It also allowed both computers separate IP addresses which was crucial for me to host servers, so I’d say this thing is perfect for anything you need split connections and speed on

Thid switch does not support specialized internet devices.
This device works fine for ordinary internet support, BUT it does not work with specialized devices. In my case that specialized device turned out to be a VOIP server which works fine directly connected to the internet OR connected to a well engineered switch. In my case it works with a TP-LINK switch, but won’t work with this switch which does not display the name of the manufacturer. So beware if you are using specialized internet connected devices.
