So Fast
I’ve had several different laptop models, all promising something. This HP has its 20 gig memory making this thing lightening fast. Can handle over 20 tabs and not show any signs of slowing down. Buy it, you won’t be disappointed.

HP 17.3″ Laptop 1TB Nvme M.2 SSD, 16GB memory, with Windows 11
Nice computer, mfg in 2021. Received very quickly and when it arrived I jumped into action and started setting up. All worked very smoothly. When getting everything updated and the HP programs installed I found that the HP 1 year warranty was expired, and that wasn’t expected. For me that’s not a big problem as I have been into building and repairing pc systems since the early 1980’s. All in all I have to commend HP on this computer. I plan on updating to a 2TB Nvme M.2 in the future and adding another 16 GB memory SODIMM. Monitor screen is nice and Sharpe screen, battery only runs for about 4 hours when not connected to AC power.

Good value for money overall but don’t stray too far from a mains power outlet
The setup process for the 17-inch model was easy and it handily and automatically copied a great deal of setup data, wifi passwords, etc over through my home wifi connection from my existing HP Pavilion 14, which is five years old and needs a new keyboard ( I am keeping it for travel and as a spare once it’s repaired ).The build quality of the 17 seems to be fairly robust and for a big machine, it’s quite lightweight. The sound quality is slightly worse than my 14, but as that has Bang and Olufsen speakers I wasn’t expecting the 17 to be much better, and this isn’t an issue for me.I would have liked backlit keys but as this wasn’t an option for the 17, I can live with it.Otherwise, it’s early days but overall I am satisfied, however, the short battery life was a surprise. Even with all power savings settings at maximum, the dark screen option set, etc I seem to be lucky to get more than 7 or 8 hours of battery life before it is drained from 100% down to zero. This was a surprise, although having read the reviews I am, as with the lack of backlit keys, not too disappointed as I am not going to be using the machine on the road for work or very far from a mains outlet.Thinking of power, it is good that HP has not needlessly changed the Pavilion blue tip power cord over the last five years since I was able to swap the USA-style plug and cable for my UK 3-pin 13 amp fused cord from my 14, as I live in the Caribbean where UK 13 amp square pin sockets and 230V power are standard, and this plugged in and worked seamlessly with my older 13 amp cord fitting the new step-down box and cord that came with the 17.All in all, a good 4 out of 5 and I got what I expected and at a reasonable price.
