These are EASY to place and set up, just about as good as HUE.
I bought the first of the 2 16.4â light strips about 6 weeks ago to run alongside of the stairs to assist my older dog when coming down the stairs. I didnât have high expectations. The sticky backing on these work perfectly. No problem there. I added the KASA APP from the App Store and found these a snap to set up with the app. They are very bright and great colors. I then bought another set for under my home bar, same great experience. I use both with an Alexa smart plug. I bought the expensive HUE light strips for above my cabinets several years ago. They work well, but the sticky back wouldnât stick, plus I had to buy a bridge device. All told, over $200.00 for the HUE setup, $36.00 for these. I highly recommend them.

Nice lights but don’t fall for the hype…
I bought the strip with 2 reels of lights. The instructions are very basic and there are a couple of things you should know prior to setup:
1. Plug in all the strips in your box prior to activating. I plugged in just one strip and wound up with 2 strips of the same name down the road. It was easy to fix but for a while I thought that’s just the way it’s supposed to be.
2. You must start the install of every strip at the same phisical location. You can’t run one strip halfway around the room and start the 2nd strip at the end of the first.
3. If you want your room to look like what you see in examples and favorable reviews then make sure lights are pointed up or down in spaces that hide the LED from view. Otherwise you’ll just see a bright bunch of LED’s without that glowing up/down lighting.
The commands to your assistant are really the same you use on a color smart bulb. The Kasa app can do some cool tricks; your android assistant can not. “Control smart light strips using the leading voice assistants,” is the kind of marketing hype that winds up in dissapointment. Yes, you can control them in a limited/generic way but you are unable to access the unique features using a voice assistant.

Great for Office Backlighting, but Could Use Independent Control
I like the Kasa Smart LED Light Strip for adding backlighting in my home office, which looks great on video calls. There are two strips, but they have to be on the same schedule, so I’m only using one for now. I wish they could operate independently with their own routines. Overall, a good product with room for improvement.

Works well, app is a little bland.
Set these up under cabinets and shelves. I cut them into 5 strips and connected them to each other with wire and clip on connectors. They work perfectly, integrate with Google Assistant well. I do wish the controller had a dimming control, and not just an on/off switch. All in all, basic decent lights worth buying. nothing special, but does the job.

Hopefully someone finds this info useful!
The strip is 10 mm wide, cuttable every 100 mm. There are 3 RGB LEDs per cuttable segment, spaced about 33 mm apart.
I couldn’t find this info in the product description at the time I wrote this. The cuttable length is shown on the box as 10 cm, but the other info is not.

Great value for the money
Be aware that the light strip includes 2 separate 16.4 foot strips that are conencted to a power source in middle. If you want 1 long 32.8 foot strip, this product is not for you, but if you have a powersource in the middle of what you need (like center of cabinents) then it’s a good option.

Me encantaron las luces
Me gustaron bastante. Son excelentes para cualquier ambiente, yo querÃa iluminar la cocina debajo de las gavetas y me quedaron muy bien iluminadas, son fáciles de instalar y se acoplan a la medida que necesites.

Does what you need, unimpressed with brightness
Integrated flawlessly into the Kasa app, works very well. My only issue is these aren’t quite as bright as I would have hoped. They do the job, and look good, though. The red LED chip used isn’t the strongest in my opinion, so any mixing with it, like for yellow, favors the green. I was able to get a pretty good warm and cool white out of it, so this is a minor inconvenience.

These strips work awesome and I love that I can make it compatible with Google home. The app is beautiful and user friendly. Easy to put together. Just line up the arrows like the instructions say or it won’t turn on if the strip is backwards from the plug. Doesn’t come with attachments for splitting you need to buy those seperately. This does come with a plug and ace adapter. The adapter has a manual button to turn on and off if you do t want to use the app.
