Working well
I got this phone for my husband. It seems to working well. The price was right and he didn’t want to spend the money on the newer phone. He doesn’t like having to get use to new phones. He really likes this phone but his had stopped working properly, so this was perfect.

Its OK
Second Kyocera I’ve bought. I buy them because they are rated for hazardous area. Big plus if you work in the oilfield or mining industries. Class I- Div II. Love that they work with Verizon now. Battery life isn’t the greatest. Might make a day if I dont use it much. Get into heavy usage and I need to charge a couple times a day. Its only 4G so I cant utilize the latest 5G network. 5G is available on the latest model but the reviews were bad on the new model. Find the phone starts acting quirky after a week. Reboot usually helps. Phone is rugged! Everyone asks where I got the phone case. No case – just one bad a$$ phone. It’s no bigger than any other phone with a case on it. Dropped it a lot. Dents and dings all over and its still working. No cracks in the screen yet but I’m smart enough to keep it turned in while its in my pocket. Speaker has decent sound.

Strong phone
Was very happy with the durability of the Kyocera. This time the phone was durable and didn’t end up breaking as other phones do, however, this time the whole phone disappeared probably left on the vehicle and drove off losing it. Bad habit with phones. Use a holster, clip it on lol

Great battery, relatively fast, very durable, camera lens and fingerprint reader are terrible
Overall I really like this phone. It’s very durable (except the camera lens which I was able to shatter almost immediately.) It’s a huge upgrade over the old Duraforce phone and just about everything is better in one way or another. My complaints:
– The camera sucks, especially in the dark. Might as well be using a potato. Pictures always come out grainy.
– The camera lens is very susceptible to damage and the part to replace it is very hard to find.
– The fingerprint reader is awful!!!!! It either doesn’t work at all or works too well and unlocks the phone in your pocket or worse yet, factory resets the phone in your pocket because of too many failed attempts. I tried everything to fix this and ended up just disabling it completely and have had no more issues… too bad, it was very convenient to unlock with a fingerprint.

This thing is Simply Amazing!!
This thing is amazing , dropped it several times now and it’s perfect. It’s basically bomb proof without purchasing a hundred dollar otterbox and another 30 dollar screen protector right out of the box , I think a few of them 1500 dollar phones I see people flaunting about every second of the day
like a status symbol should take some pointer’s on how to build a virtually unbreakable cell phone . The screen is hard as a rock , I’ve stuffed it in my pocket against my key’s and it has zero scratches, dropped it on the cement at work and it’s not even fased it. You want to listen to music in the shower no problem take it there with you! This is the last phone one would ever need and the wireless charging technology is amazing ,5 â’s is definitely not enough !! Thank you very much for this cell ,best purchase ever!;

Not so tuff!
So I have had one of these phones for years and they have been very durable and taken tons of abuse. But, these refurbished phones are nothing like the original. It started out with a glitchy screen then the screen just came lose and fell off the phone. Apparently the glue that they use when rebuilding these is defective. I would not trust these to be waterproof either.
There is a gracious return window which is nice. But since the screen was inoperable I would not do a factory reset before returning the phone with out the help of a repair shop. In all I spent more returning the phone than the original cost to purchase it.
I only give this 2 stars for the return window.

Bought as an “Amazon Renewed” and it wouldn’t even turn on!
I bought this phone as a replacement, looking for a durable phone that wouldn’t break easily. I received the phone with marks and very obvious signs of wear. The plastic piece around the screen was chipped and the phone would turn on for about 2 minutes, and then automatically restart. At one point, when trying to contact Amazon to let them know I was having issues, the phone shut off mid-call. The touch screen would also only work part of the time. It would be fine, and then out of no where just completely stop working. Same thing with the button to dim the screen. I ended up returning for a full refund and bought new elsewhere. Make sure you’re able to wait 7-10 days to get your money back to be able to go buy a new phone!
