Customers say
Customers like the value of the notebook computer, saying it has the best features for the best price. They are also happy with the condition. However, some customers have reported issues with the quality, screen durability, and charging. They say the computer was horrible, had more dings and scratches than expected, and the charging port was loose. Customers are mixed on performance, touch screen, and battery life.

I love my new Chromebook!
It’s perfect except for the charger stopped working in less than 30 days of having it but the seller does not actually build the charger so I don’t put the fault on them. I’m working with the seller to get a replacement. I’m very pleased with the product other than that.

Good for the purpose I bought them for
I homeschool my kids so I bought 2 of these chrome books for my kids to do their school work on. And it does what it is intended to. My only problem is googles security protocols which I guess has nothing to do with the Chromebook but such a horrible repetitive process I ended up having to completely wipe the Chromebook to factory settings because somehow my 7 year old figured out how to change the login password and then conveniently forgot what he changed it to and the google process for recovery was insane. But again this has nothing to do with the laptop and everything to do with the software for login.

Definitely not “like new” as described, but functional and will do in a pinch
***Update: I amended this review from three stars to one star, because a couple of weeks after I posted this initial review, my computer simply stopped working. It will turn on, but I get a plain black screen. With all the other issues I was having, I simply decided this was not worth the hassle and returned it. I will also note that I didn’t mention it in my initial review, but this whole process also included another purchase of the same item that was for some reason flagged as undeliverable during shipping, so I never received that one. It’s just become a massive headache that’s already worth more than $80 in my time and energy, so I opted to simply return the computer.
The return process was easy at least, but I will not be buying refurbished electronics on Amazon again.
I’m leaving my original review below for posterity.***
I bought this computer advertised in “like new” condition for around $75. I wasn’t expecting miracles, but there are a couple things I have an issue with enough to give a 3 star review. They’re not a big enough deal to request a refund (again, $75 computer here…I feel like going through the process of requesting a return/replacement is more of hassle), but not great. If this had been advertised for its actual condition, I still might have bought it, but I’d be giving it a much better rating.
Biggest one is that in my “like new” computer, the track pad is wonky. It sometimes catches clicked down in a way I can feel if I click too far to the bottom left, and I have yet to be able to successfully highlight anything because the drag is weird. Neither of these are a huge deal for the way I plan to use this computer (especially because the touch screen does work fine so worst case I just highlight by touch), but it’s less than I expected based on the listing.
The other is that my computer arrived dirty, which I wasn’t surprised by as other reviewers have mentioned it, but it was kind of disappointing. I don’t think it was anything particularly gross, but there was a goopy smear on one of the device’s silver-colored hinges that was rather off-putting, along with a spray of dried droplets on the screen. Probably just grease or oil and the residue of cleaner, but let’s just say I cleaned the whole thing thoroughly before I used it.
Overall, though, I just needed a really cheap computer to get me through a couple weeks, and this fits the bill. It runs fine other than the trackpad issue, comes with a decent charger, set up easily, all that good stuff. Just, you know, be aware that you’re definitely getting what you’re paying for!

Great for school use
Our venerable family laptop finally died after persisting in its usefulness for over a year after cracking its case. With all three kids doing a good deal of their (home)schoolwork electronically, I needed to end the resource contention ASAP, and I didn’t want the tween to try to word-process on a tablet. This has, so far, been a pretty good stop-gap.
Pros: Very, very cheap. Good battery life. Light and small. The touchscreen seems to be pretty usable. My 10 year old already has drawing programs installed and is making fun art.
Cons: No-one is a great fan of the keyboard which is smaller and a little more cramped than they are used to. I cannot personally type very comfortably on it, although I suspect I would quickly adjust.
This is our first chromebook of any description and it took some time to work through the OS issues, specifically figuring out how to have multiple users on the same device. While it allows you to set a PIN, your first sign-on of the day seems to have to be your password. They haven’t been used to keeping track of their passwords, so this has been a bit painful. However, please note that this is an OS complaint, not a complaint that has anything to do with this model.

Easy to use
This was a gift for a 15-year-old who had previously only had access to her mother’s aged laptop and a phone. Had all the extra features a teenager could want and ideal for school since she’s starting high school in the fall. GREAT price for the item. Really superior quality.

Not a full touch screen
We were going to return but decided the partial touch screen features were sufficient for what we needed
All else is great

Just canât beat it for the price
I wanted to get a very simple, affordable laptop for my 8 year oldâs first laptop. The price was more than right on this one so I took the chance on it and it turned out very well. It came packaged very well with just the laptop and the charger. No issues whatsoever with the computer itself. The company wraps it in a âskinâ that is very good quality and hard to even notice. It might even look better than it does when itâs new with the skin on. Itâs a very nice touch. Overall this was just the perfect laptop for my kid to do his homework, play a few little android games and surf the web. Iâm sure these will vary in quality and experience but mine was overall very good.

I bought this a year ago and it easily remains one of the best things Iâve ever bought!
Iâm a college student that has used this chromebook for everything. Everyday of the week for the last year. Itâs literally just a cheaper and more useful ipad. If youâre on the fence I understand. But it the battery life is amazing and so is everything else about it. I donât know why other reviews say the battery doesnât last very long when it clearly does. The battery for me can last upwards of two days without charge. I bought this a year ago and it remains my favorite tablet. Go ahead and do yourself a favor by getting yourself or kid one of these. You wonât regret it!

Touchpad not in 4 months and Chromebook entirely stopped working in 8 months after giving missing OS error. External drives donât work for restoring. So, itâs nothing more than a brick now. Manufacturer donât support at all for Amazon Renewed telling me the warranty for this specific serial number was already activated 4 years ago. I totally regret this purchase
