Works Great – If Refurbished, Make Sure to Register with Netgear
As headline states, it works great, just make sure to register the router with Netgear once you get it or internet will not work. I called Netgear thinking the router was still somehow connected to the prior user but after creating my account and registering the product the internet started to work.I also had an issue after the first day where the internet would disconnect after every 20 minutes or so and I would have to unplug and plug in the router to restart it. Can’t remember exactly how I fixed it, but I went from having a separate 5G network and 2.4G network to a 2.4G network and a 2.4-5G network. I think in the settings if you select for the router to optimize between the networks automatically, it might create that network for you. I use the 2.4-5G network and it seems to work pretty well.

Nervous due to reman…. shouldn’t have been.
Cheap, effective, no signs of damage. Works great and has plenty of signal for my use. Spans whole main floor of house some repeaters at the corners and good to go. Would buy again.

lousy tech support and want money to fix
Worst company I have dealt with in a long time. Ordered refurbished Netgear mod/rout and was easy to install. But no web site would come up saying certificates were out of date on Firefox and Chrome. Netgear says not their problem even though old modem and router worked fine. Then they want you to buy a subscription service to try and fix their problem. Spent over 2 hours on phone with 3 different people. One other problem was the original owner was still listed which put it over the 90 day fix period. Took forever to get that resolved and then it still didn’t work. Find a more reliable company.

Works better than the one the cable company gave me
Swapped the unit the cable company gave me at no charge- Swapped due to drop packets, slowdowns, etc. Workes very well and so far no problems.

COMCAST/XFINITY customers stop wasting money renting a Modem/Router
I’m saving $15 per month using this device and my internet speeds increased dramatically. This unit is absolutely plug and play with Xfinity and Comcast. I opened the box, plugged it in, logged into the Xfinity app, it was up and running within 10 minutes and I’m getting a much faster connection than I’m paying for. My 300mbps service speeds consistently over 400mbps, I was barely breaking 200mbps with the rental Xfinity device, it’s a no brainer stop masking excuses and get one.

Took a few days to setup, but It works
Had to fight with Xfinity support for days to setup the device.

Not what I expected
After reading all the reviews from here and multiple websites. I was so excited to get this modem. That ended real fast. Yes, “when” it works, it works great. But for the most part ( about 80%) of the 2 weeks I had it, it sucked. Way slower than my Arris, wouldn’t let my cell phones work with wifi calls, the few times it did, it drops the calls within 1-2 minutes. Have several tablets, a couple of them, it wouldn’t let connect. Maybe this was a defective unit, don’t know. But I’ll definitely be sticking with my Arris

Wow How Fast !
My original arris surfboard WiFi 5 router/modem was outdated. I was very cautious about my next purchase but I didnât want to spend $300 on a brand new router. Found this one and my internet speeds jumped from 250 gps to 450 gps. My internet plan caps out at 400gps so thatâs 50gps over what my plan is allowed. Everything in my house is faster and no longer lagging or freezing. I am very happy with my purchase. Also this device wonât work correctly unless you download the app and choose your security features. That was a bother bonus for me as I never had those options before.
