Interesting features, maybe not ready for prime time
This lens set took a while to review because it is fairly complex. It comes with a 28x zoom lens, a fisheye lens, a macro lens for closeups and attached to the macro lens with another lens attached to it to change the field of view. It also had a small tripod, and a clip to attach the lenses to the phone. We tried this out on a fairly new iPhone 15 that was in a pretty standard plastic case. The lens set came with a sheet of little rubber tabs, but the instructions, which were written in pretty poor English, did not make any reference to the sheet of little tabs. I asked my wife, an experienced photographer, to try it out.The zoom lens is powerful, but hard to manage. She suggested that an extra stabilizing arm might be needed to keep the lens from jiggling around. The included tripod is so small that you would have to put it on a high top table in order to use it, otherwise, you would have to lie on the ground in order to see what you were trying to photograph. The fisheye lens was the easiest to use, but she could not get the image to be round – the left side was always cut off. There were a number of other issues: for one, there are many lenses on phone cameras now, and you have to pick one using the included clip to center the round hole (where you mount each lens) over the cameraâs lens. The problem is that when you zoom in and out, the camera switches lenses, and your image then gets blocked by the clip. The clip itself doesnât lie flat on the camera case due to the various lumps on the case that protect the camera if the phone is dropped. Without a flat-lying clip, the lens sits at an angle over the camera and it creates more problems. This set is an interesting idea, but youâd have to really want to use it and practice with it in order to get any use out of it. The beauty of a phone camera is that you have it in your pocket and you can snap a photo an a momentâs notice. This lens set would require patience, practice, and a real tripod in order to be useful. I think youâd find that it will just sit on a shelf at home because it is not easy to use and it does not work all that well as it is configured.

Good kit but takes some time to set up
This kit works, but it takes rather significant time to set up. You cannot take out the phone from your pocket and take a shot. Instead, you need to carefully attach the plastic clip to the proper phone lens, and then crew on the lens from this kit. If clip is not centered perfectly, you will get an image defect, black edge of the clip, showing. But if you need to take a shot when you have a couple of minutes for proper setup, the shots will come out quite good.

Couldnât get it to work with IPhone
I like to bird watch but canât ever get a good photo with my IPhone 13 so I was excited to try this lens, unfortunately it didnât work for me. I tried it on the 13 with two lenses and a family members 14 pro with three lenses with no luck. The slider on the lens clip that the lens screws into slides a little too easily so trying to get it to align is difficult. Once you do get it aligned the image has a halo around it. The clip doesnât allow for the two lenses to meet in order to get a clean shot. I thought at first it was my phone case so I took it off but had the same results. Unfortunately, I canât recommend this product.

Nice set for a great price
This set contains everything that you could need to use your standard smartphone camera to capture telescoping images of wildlife and distant objects. Fairly easy to use once you are familiar with the parts and it’s all contained in a nice hard case that keeps your camera telescope lenses safe.Highly recommended.

Not great for my IPhone 15
It may have been operator error, but I tried and tried to get this thing to fit on my phone. I could always see the device in my frame. I really wish it had worked. Seems like a fun gadget!

Not to bad for a budget lens kit
Like many out there, I’m looking to get the best pictures possible with my phone without having to spend a bunch on a professional camera. I got this kit primarily for the 28x zoom and the macro lens. The fish eye was an added bonus, and I don’t really think I’ll need the wide angle, but it’s there if I do! Having a tripod is also a nice thing to have for those really zoomed shots if you have shaky hands like I do, too. This kit itself comes in a nice case, and actually looks really well built. There is a spot for everything in the foam insert inside. The zoom lens has a pretty solid feel to it. It’s not an adjustable zoom, but it does have an easy to use focus wheel. This lens absolutely improved my viewing distance – however, the image was also a little blurry. No matter how much I tried to focus the zoom, it was always just a little blurry. I made sure the lens was clean and checked again. It’s not horrible, to be honest, but it’s not as good as I had hoped, based on my first impression.I tried out the other smaller lenses and I had better results with those. The macro lens allowed me to get much closer to objects than I was able to before, but the edge of the screen remained a little blurry. The wide lens actually did seem to open up the perspective a little, and the fish eye did what I expected as well.I used this setup on a Pixel 6 Pro, which has kind of an awkward camera setup. I think If I was able to attach the phone better to the camera (maybe if the mount would allow a pivot), I would be able to align the lens better with the camera. This might help bring the clarity up a little bit. I think a phone with more of a consistently flat camera/back would work best with this kit.The tripod is a bit of a miss with me, too. It works… But you feel like your doing a balancing act with it, because it’s so small and the phone is so big (especially with the big zoom lens hanging on the front of it!). I’ll put it this way – it’s fine to use on a table in a controlled environment, but you probably don’t want to use it in areas where the wind could blow it over or the surface underneath it could shake.Overall, I’d give this 3.5 stars. I think it’s better than some other kits I’ve tried, but I still feel like the mounting mechanism could be better built – and most importantly, the 28x zoom needs to be cleaned up a bit somehow. I don’t know much about optics, admittedly, but something about the lens on the zoom is just a little fuzzy. If it was a clean picture, I’d say this is an easy 4 star.

The kit came in a neatly packaged box. Easy to carry and nicely protected. I tried the different lenses but my favourite is the fisheye. It gaves photos a spice girls music video vibe.
