Nice alternative to plastic or metal
I got this for my daughter, who, when not at her desk at home, is sometimes concerned that her laptop might overheat if placed on a table without elevating the back where the fan exhausts hot air.She thinks this stand is great — because it is not plastic and feels lighter (to her, anyway) than various collapsible metal stands. She also is pleased that it is very unique looking and could be used to hold tablets and/or phones for charging should she ever wish to stop using it as a laptop stand. She also got a kick out of making various arbitrary (sometimes silly) shapes with the parts and the cool shadows the parts can cast. I have included a photo of her impromptu Christmas tree, and a shadow or two, along with the completely excellent (and highly custom) corrugated cardboard packaging in which this thing arrives. [ We both thought the official product photos more than adequately show the product in its intended use. ]

Innovative Design
I was looking for a way to prop up my laptop to get better air circulation. I already have some other laptop stands, but was looking for something that might be easier to travel with. When I came across this wooden stand, the design intrigued me. It gives you the flexibility to use it as a traditional stand as well as it being used to prop up your laptop or tablets within the slots.Setting it up was super easy, and it comes in very smart, minimal packaging. You get 3 components; the two slats that make up the bulk of the stand, and a wooden dowel that connects the 2 larger pieces. Again, the design is very smart, and it is simple but versatile. I love that the 2 larger pieces have magnets to connect them. I will say that it would be nice if the dowel also had magnets at the ends to kind of lock it into place, but it is functional the way it is.I love this little stand. It manages to secure my larger ASUS G16 laptop and also has no problem with my 14 MacBook Pro. I plan to mainly use it with the G16 for better thermals, but you could use it for just about any laptop or tablet.

Works for my needs with non-Apple products
I got this to allow my PC laptop to vent/stay cool during zoom calls.[+] Price ($18.99 at time of review) seems reasonable for an all-wood product of this design with multifunctional uses[+] Minimal material use (including with original product packaging)[+] Made of recycled materials[+] Cool design[+] Easy to assemble[+] When put together and device(s) in place, it’s sturdy[+] Works as I’d anticipated for my needs[+] Many uses/configurations: props up phone/tablet to watch videos, holds multiple devices when not in use/charging *NOTE: [-] Lenovo laptop is a tight fit in the thickest slot due to the rubber feet, but it fits! (see pix 4+5)[+] Very lightweight[-] Inaccurate product description: ASSEMBLY IS REQUIRED[-] Does not transport easily when assembled (parts can move out of place or flip around)[-/+] Assembled product is not permanent (in that it can still come apart)[*4 STARS*] For minimalistic style, recycled content, cool design, actual functionality.[-1 STAR] Because once assembled, the pieces can shift too easily, esp when carrying a device on it.

Not exactly what I thought it was
First, this is made well, it’s solid, and it looks pretty nice. If you are just using it to store your closed laptops when you aren’t using them, this would probably be great. I was planning on using it to keep my laptop from getting hot while I worked on my laptop. The problem is how steep the angle is of the stand. I couldn’t find any way to comfortable type with it on the stand because it is so extreme. I’m keeping it to store my laptop after work, but I can’t seem to find a good way to use it during the workday when I’m using my laptop.

BT. Rusel Wooden Laptop Stand
How genius and simple is this wooden laptop stand for a desk? It is made with quality wood. I am glad I chose this product because it does what it should.Setting it up was as easy as slipping the wooden peg into both holes on the wedges and setting my laptop on it. I appreciate the design of the wedges, which allow me to glide my laptop around the desk in the most comfortable position. And if I choose to, I can use any of the five slots to store my phone and tablets. The description mentioned that the stand can also store a laptop, but my HP laptop needs to be narrower. However, it can hold it, which is more important. Two of the stand’s greatest benefits include allowing the laptop to ventilate while lifted from the desk. The second benefit involves removing pressure from my wrists while typing. I can rest my wrists at an angle rather than lay them flat and then curl my entire hand to reach the keys on the keyboard. The third benefit relates to my posture. Since I can reach my keys effectively, I am more inclined to sit straighter while typing.Overall, the design of this laptop stand increases ventilation, helps my wrists relax against my laptop space when typing, and provides better posture. The price is generous because the maker created the laptop stand from quality wood.
