Best Headset I’ve Owned
Do not be intimidated by the 200$ price tag; if you have the budget for these headphones, pull the trigger. Or wait for a deal.I bought these and so far the Haptic Feedback they provide has been truly life-changing; I use Dolby Atmos on my desktop and this combination makes electronic music, heavy metal, and other music feel truly impactful; double bass feels as if I’m attending a metal concert, sometimes; I don’t think I’ll ever be able to go back to a basic headset after owning these things. They are predominantly plastic and sometimes creak more than you’d like, but feel sturdy enough that I’m not concerned about them breaking. Just treat them like your lady, gents! Also, I purchased the Hyperspeed model, which means you cannot customize the rumble the haptics provide; you can only increase or decrease incrementally. If you want a little bit more control over your experience, I suggest you purchase Dolby Atmos from the Microsoft Store or wherever. From there, you can fine-tune which settings you would like to use. They have a “game mode”, a “music mode” a “movie mode” and more. I personally prefer music mode.Another geeky tip: if you’re on a desktop, right-click the sound icon on the taskbar in the lower right. Select “open volume mixer” and select the icon for your headphones on the left; from there, you will find an “enhancements” tab for your headphones. The options I have available are bass boost, headphone virtualization, and loudness equalization, each with a settings option down below; I use bass boost and loudness equalization, and it absolutely makes a difference. Bass is far rumblier when you mess with these settings, and lower-frequency sounds are given more of a chance to reverb as opposed to higher-frequency sounds; this will result in a far better listening experience for you.Hope that helps! These headphones are 100% worth all the tinkering I had to go through to get the sound perfect. I absolutely love these and if they ever break, I’m going to have to find a way to purchase them again. They’re that good. Fantastic work, Razer.(Included a picture of the headphones menu I spoke of; this is where you can make the adjustments!)

Comfortable
I originally just connected my Beats Solo 2 to the ps4/ps5 controller and was happy with that for a long time but wanted over the ear headphones that were more comfortable and offered better sound. So I bought the pulseâ¦and it felt like a vice clamp on my head. My jaw hurt for days. The sound is meh. So I bought sennheiser wired headphones to try a high quality make with better comfort. The sound was empty and low.I finally tried these headphones after seeing them in a review. If you own a ps5 just please try them. They have an adjustable strap and swiveling ear cups instead of a head clamp design. It makes long hours playing really enjoyable. The sound is very good and the haptics are really cool and add an extra dimension that I cannot believe Sony has not designed yet. Very easy to connect. Very rarely cause interference with the dual sense. Just stop reading reviews and buy them. Trust me.

Not perfect, but a great deal if you catch them on sale
Not the hands down comfort winner, but comfortable enough to wear for long periods.I tried these because they had Xbox direct connect AND Bluetooth. So it connects to the Xbox, but I can also connect to my TV via Bluetooth. Pretty convenient when watching whatever late at night. They seem to only be able to connect to one Bluetooth device at a time. So you can connect to your TV or phone, but not both at the same time. You don’t want the Bluetooth connected to the TV and Xbox at the same time. You’ll get the sound 2 times if you do.Earpieces didn’t seem hot. Can feel them getting a little warm, but never actually hot. I found the padding to be sufficient, even while wearing glasses. You can change the lighting colors, but more importantly you can turn the lighting off.You CAN connect to your Xbox and phone at the same time. This lets you hear phone notifications while gaming.Mic volume seems to be good for streaming. Sent a bit of video to Twitch, and no issue with hearing my voice there. If you want to use these on the phone also, the mic may not be loud enough. A friend that is just a touch hard of hearing could hear me, but he was having a hard time. Mic picks up a lot of background noise too. I wouldn’t use these for a phone call if I didn’t have to.Mic mute is a switch on the left earpiece. Seems to work without issue, but might be a little difficult for people with fat fingers. None of the controls on this are large. They are, in fact, all pretty small.Free Xbox app lets you have some equalizer sets. There are presets, but you can also make your own. You can change them through the headset, but other than how it sounds the only way to know which you’re on is to look in the app.Battery life seems to be good. Obviously you’ll get more life with the lights and Bluetooth off.USB C charging is convenient for me. If it’s not for you, there adapters from most plug types to USB C.I’m satisfied with my purchase. So far.

Needs Dolby Atmos for Xbox Series X
Something about Xbox Series X really requires Dolby Atmos for full sound especially footsteps. The Series X doesnât have a fiber optic output so I needed to replace my Astro A50s. Tried Turtle Beach 700 Gen 2 which sounded great, but the build quality sucks with cheap materials and connecting to Bluetooth was horrendous. Tried Steel Series 9 whateverâs..even with Dolby Atmos the sound was bad and the headset is for child heads. The best thing about this headset is itâs connectivity. Quick and easy. That goes for the Xbox and Bluetooth. The materials are good so far. But as good as the A50s, but way better then the 700s. It also a bit small on the head, but not too bad with the foam on the band. Very comfortable. The sound is equal to the Turtle Beaches which was a relief. Again, get Dolby Atmos and look up equalizer settings on YouTube. It makes a huge difference and adds value to the purchase.
