Meet the Razer Ornata V3—a low-profile ergonomic gaming keyboard powered by Razer Chroma™ RGB. Sporting a new ultra-slim form factor, more durable keycaps, and unique mecha-membrane switches, enhance your work and play with a hybrid keyboard that combines the best of both worlds.
LOW-PROFILE KEYS — With slimmer keycaps and shorter switches, enjoy natural hand positioning that allows for long hours of use with little strain
MECHA-MEMBRANE SWITCHES — Fusing the snappy, clicky feedback of a mechanical switch with the familiar feel of a conventional keyboard, each keystroke is as satisfying as it is precise
UV-COATED KEYCAPS — More durable than regular keycaps, the UV coating ensures more fade-resistant legends and greater protection against wear and tear from frequent use
BACKLIT DEDICATED MEDIA KEYS — Configure them to pause, play, skip and adjust everything from brightness to volume for ultimate convenience
MAGNETIC SOFT TOUCH WRIST REST — Designed to seamlessly snap to the keyboard, the soft-touch wrist rest provides ample comfort and support for the wrists that is vital during long periods of use
10-ZONE RAZER CHROMA RGB LIGHTING — With 16.8 million colors and a suite of effects to choose from, personalize the keyboard and get access to dynamic lighting effects for hundreds of Chroma-integrated games

Customers say
Customers like the performance and comfort of the keyboard. For example, they say it’s a great entry-level keyboard, with quiet keys and a wrist rest that’s easy on the fingers. Customers are also happy with the value. That said, some complain about the key quality, saying they can only have three keys pressed simultaneously and that the keys stick constantly. Opinions are mixed on quality, noise, lighting, and color selection.

Excellent rugged keyboard
I began typing years ago on a manual typewriter. Youâve come a long way baby. This keyboard is fabulous. I love the touch the field. The sound is perfect. I always prefer a wired keyboard and this one meets every requirement I have.

Great Keyboard
Iâm not a big fan of big clunky mechanical keyboards. This is not that. Seems like good quality, especially for the price. Itâs very responsive, very satisfying to use, and has a nice clean and simple look. RBG lights are easy to customize. Iâve only had for a few days and used it a few times so I canât speak to longevity but so far I love it.

Amazing
Way better than my previous keyboard. Greatly enhanced my gaming and working experience. This is not a cheap keyboard but worth every penny.

Itâs good, but not perfectâ¦for the price
Pros:⢠Nice, sleek design⢠Keys feel nice to type on (for membrane keys anyway) as in they have a pleasant feedback and the keysâ surface is pleasantly soft to the touch⢠The RGB backlighting can get super bright, which I am not used to. I like the option to change it. Iâm not used to that option for a keyboard.⢠Worked right away with Windows 10 without Razer software⢠The cable routing option underneath the keyboard was an unexpected surprise. Nice touch Razer!Cons:⢠You apparently need the Razer Synapse software to change the RGB lighting, among other things.⢠That space bar is much louder compared to all the other keys, and you most definitely will notice it. (Very loud for a membrane keyboard anyway.)⢠The keys are a bit tough to see without any lighting on, but not too bad. (I am just used to the Logitech K120 keyboardâs highly visible keys.)⢠The lack of dedicated media buttons, but I knew that before purchase.⢠The Synapse software is fascinating, yet quite slow. Itâs still interesting to use, but not a positive in my book for a keyboard. (Try the Synapse Beta software instead, as it seemed more responsive.)Main review:I am coming from using a typical, no-frills, cheap keyboard called the Logitech K120 that is quite popular and I have had no issues with. I just wanted to try somethingâ¦new. This is my first gaming keyboard I tried since getting a Saitek Eclipse (series 1) with membrane keys back in 2008. I loved that Eclipse keyboard. I never had a gaming keyboard before that, and I just plugged the USB cable into my new desktop PC at the time and it worked. The Saitek Eclipse had dedicated/separate volume buttons and backlighting button on it other than using the function keys or something. The keys felt great and it never let me down for many years before I sold it for some reason. Also, I donât recall needing to have downloaded some software unlike this Razer one to get the backlighting to work. No it didnât have RGB lighting, but a keyboard with backlighting was amazing to me for a new desktop PC. Sure, this Razer keyboard works without downloading Razerâs Synapse software, but I wish there was a way to change the backlight color without it. Thatâs my main gripe about this Razer keyboard. I still havenât tried the highly touted mechanical keyboards that I have been reading about for eons, but I have loved membrane keyboards so much that I havenât felt the need to try mechanical yet. I may change my mind soon. This keyboard evokes a bit of the same feeling as that keyboard, although this Razer keyboard of course doesnât have dedicate media buttons. Do I need those dedicated media buttons? Not reallyâ¦but they sure came in handy and I knew where they were and were easily accessible on the keyboard. So, what I did after trying this Razer keyboard for a couple days is order a full-size Corsair K55 RGB gaming membrane keyboard with dedicated media buttons as well to see which one I respond to better.Overall, I think you will enjoy this gaming keyboard (for the price) if you have modest expectations and donât require lots of features as on many other, more expensive gaming keyboards that I have read about before opting for this one.

Great gaming keyboard
Got it for a good price, kind of bulky so there is a little weight to it. Great quality. Looks cool with the leds. Responsiveness is good for gamers. And easy for my kiddo to use!

Nice Keyboard
This keyboard works great. The keys are silent, feels good when typing. With the Synapse software it is easy to configure to your settings you like. Best of all is the price. Well worth it.

Non-Gamer Loves Razor Ornata
I had a Razor Ornata that I absolutely loved for writing novels. The clicking sounded like popcorn when I typed, it was easy on my fingers, and I loved the color changing feature. I lost it in January 2023 to a house fire. I tried other Razor brand keyboards, did a lot of research on why the Ornata was different, and was overjoyed to see it listed on Amazon. I am now very happily clicking along as I write volumes. Even non-gamers will find something to love. It does make noise so probably not an in-office keyboard.

A huge disappointment
My brother has the Ornata Chroma so I decided to get this newer model to replace my old Cynosa Chroma, but when I started using it for the first time I almost immediately had a problem. Holding down capslock was not allowing me to have more than one other key registered at a time. Seeing as I use the capslock key as my push to talk for Discord this made the keyboard unusable with my current setup. It turns out this keyboard doesn’t have key rollover as a feature which earlier models (Like my brother’s Ornata Chroma or my old Cynosa Chroma) had. In the last 10 years and several keyboards (of similar or lower price) I’ve never had this problem before. It’s very frustrating that razor decided to cut corners with the newer versions and invented a new problem that I never even knew I could have with a keyboard. Now I have to return it and find something else that has the basic key rollover capabilities that I took for granted with earlier models.

Was thinking this would be a noisy clicker. Its quiet and the buttons are perfect in every way. Typing is so much easier than my last Razor keyboard. 5 Stars easy.

I’m really impressed with the keyboard. The keys feel amazing, they have just the right amount of resistance, a nice click sound, and very vibrant lighting to go along with them. The wrist support piece is also excellent. Nice material that doesn’t get sweaty. It also has a couple nice little things such as the dedicated volume button controls too. Very good product for sure.

Sorry, but this is rubbish and not a gaming keyboard in any sense. The price for the brand seemed too good to be true and it was.The first one that arrived, the “D” key started rubbing off within the first day. It was returned and replaced at no cost to myself – which is a positive. But after a few weeks the same thing has happened again, along with left Shift key.Had a look on their website, and no replacement keycaps are available in the UK. US and Canada only!Have also noticed on more than one occasion the so called anti-ghosting not working – you are unable to press 3 keys at once..!Will put away in a drawer and use as a backup.
