experimenting with tip sizes is essential
I was very disappointed, but only while conducting initial listening tests, after receiving this earbud replacement. Some headphones, or earbuds require burn in time in order to reach their sweet spot. That may have been one of the smallest of factors here, but when I first listened, these earbuds were exaggeratedly bright in the highs with very poor bass volume. Pressing them into the canals more than usual helped a little, and also, the earbuds were aided still more by using my fingers to apply light pressure against them. I wondered if the installed tips were helping me to get the best placement, and even very slight changes in the angling of these earbuds, could produce extremely poor effects. I removed them and compared them to my TRRS plug earbud versions, also from AKG/Samsung, and noticed that the tips on this USB model were slightly smaller than the ones on my TRRS plug type. Comparing the two additional sizes that had come with my TRRS, to the two additional sizes that came with this USB type, I found that the largest sizes were identical, the smallest size included with these USB, were much smaller than the smallest size that had come with the TRRS, and never having had to change the TRRS version’s, factory installed tips, they were the in between, middle size, and only just slightly larger than the USB version’s factory installed ones. I swapped out the mid sized tips on the USB for the largest ones, and even though that makes them quite a bit larger, now, than my TRRS type, it wasn’t uncomfortably large and made a stunningly huge difference in the richness of sound quality and insensitivity to adverse angling that they then achieved. I went from feeling that I had been the victim of cheap, product counterfeiting to wearing a face, all smiles. These earbuds earned a top RTINGS.com listing for USB connection types, and many discerning listeners prefer them over models priced several times higher, and…just by changing tips by one size, I found that mine went from perceived junk to being exactly the same high quality that others were experiencing.

Great headphones if you replace the earbud tips!
I bought these and plugged them into my Samsung S20FE to replace my Panasonic ErgoFit In-Ear Earbud Headphones because this phone does not support the standard in audio jacks. **Eyeroll** Anyways, I plugged these in with the large earbuds that come with it and they sounded like junk. No bass or quality sound at all. I suspected it was the fit of the earbud and cycled through the other provided sizes. Nope they sucked too, bad fit, felt low quality. So I thought to place my comfy tips from my Panasonic headphones and boom, infinitely better fit and sound. To be clear these are not great headphones but they are affordable and offer decent sound. Sounds get a bit distorted at certain points but I am not a super audiophile so whatever…They cheap, oh well. Once I updated a sound profile on my s20 it resolved a lot of sound issues.Worth getting if you have tips that you find comfy already. I recommend if you replace tips.Happy researching all!

They’re decent headphones
Here are the Pluses:- Simple packaging but nice enough for the price.- Connection with USB-C was smooth and trouble free on a galaxy s23.- It came with enough sizes of ear buds to find a comfortable one.- The build and cord feel sturdy enough that they should last well.- Price. It is not an expensive product. Now the negatives:- Sound quality is not that great. I know at this price range I’m not expecting my world view about headphones to be shattered BUT it sounds like lower quality speakers than I’d expect, especially on the bass range.I do tend to be on the picky side about sound quality so I feel like this is not a deal breaker really. I’ll still keep and use these on the road for when I don’t want to bother with charging my other set. You can hear sound out of it and works well enough, so I won’t go too harsh on this aspect.

Quality control seems to be lacking.
I’ve now purchased two of these. The first one lasted about six months before I accidentally caught the cable on a door handle and the right earbud stopped working. The second pair arrived on May 14th. To the best of my knowledge, nothing happened to the new pair which should have caused them to fail and yet yesterday (May 26th), less than 2 weeks after unpacking them, I went to unplug them from the phone and was left with another broken set when the USB C connector separated from the cable (as shown in the photograph).Given the Samsung / AKG branding I was expecting this to be a quality product (albeit a regular use one, not an audiophile or professional grade one). I like the fit, which is why I repurchased, and the audio quality wasn’t bad either. Unfortunately, my personal experience with the two pairs I have had has been negative enough that I’ll be looking elsewhere for future purchases.

Authentic Samsung (Sold and shipped by Amazon)
The headphones that came with my phone died so I wanted another authentic set. These came in an official looking box, just like in the listing description and everything looks correct. Everything I received looks exactly like the pictures in the listing. Physically, they are identical to the headphones that came with my Samsung phone. When I plugged them in my phone it immediately recognized them and did a firmware update. Who knew simple USB-C headphone had firmware? My PC also recognizes them as “Samsung USB C Earphones”.I’ve run a couple frequency response tests from YouTube and they respond great from 20hz to 20,000hz with no gaps or weak points. They are louder and have a little more bass than my older headphones but they sound good, especially for the price.

Microphone doesn’t work
The headphones have a great sound and fit. The cable fabric material is great to avoid entanglement . My problem is that the microphone doesn’t work. Sound recorded from it or when use as headset in a video chat, people can’t hear me speaking or sound comes out very low and inaudible.

These are great headphones that are very reasonably priced.Unfortunately I left them at a cafe while out jogging with them on so I have had to buy a new set!
