Integrated voice prompts (available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish) help you quickly learn your way around the device. You’ll get up to 12 hours of talk time and 10 days of stand-by time on a single charge. Great intercom, easy to install
I have been using my Sena SMH10D-11 for a few weeks now and just love it. The sound is clear and the controls are easy to use. I can adjust the volume up or down with my Tourmaster gloves on or even skip ahead or back on songs when I pair my smartphone to it. The battery life seems to be quite good as well. One day I was listening to music while riding and I started to hear beeps go off. I thought ‘”what’s that?” and then thought it might be someone trying to call my phone. So, I said “Hello”, and the Sena SMH10 answered. It was my friend calling me. He said he couldn’t tell I was riding a motorcycle. The sound quality was very good – using my full-face helmet. I will say that playing music lacks good bass but is still pretty good. You can’t expect much from such small speakers. They’re not like earplug style speakers. Voice quality (send & receive) is excellent. Installation was pretty easy on my full-face helmet. Just unsnap and pull out the liner panels and run the wires through it, then snap everything back in. Took about a half hour for each helmet. I did have to cut a notch in the plastic edge molding on the helmet next to where I mounted the Sena to make it easy to keep the it’s wires close to the edge. The “11” model is the way to go for full-face helmets since you get an additional mic that can be attached just in front of your mouth on the chin guard with the Velcro strip provided. You also receive a boom mic if you need to attach it to a 3/4 or 1/2 helmet.Just a word on Sena’s Technical Support folks…(since some reviews have entered negative comments regarding Sena’s customer support). I emailed them (Tech Support, not Customer Support) before I made the purchase because I had questions regarding the differences between the SMH10D, SMH10D-10 and SMH10D-11 and also how to interface with the CB radio on my ’05 Harley Ultra Classic. I received an email back from Tristan right away and he and I exchanged several emails until I had all of my questions answered. Tristan went above and beyond to help me. So, I’d like to give a little praise where praise is due. I was a bit disappointed to learn I would not be able to talk through the additional SM10 transmitter (in conjunction with the 7-pin DIN connect cord they sell) on my CB, but I could listen to it – and the FM radio as well. I told him it would be great for Sena to add that feature and he said he’d pass it on to their engineering department. So, I’m hoping something happens as a result of that.I ordered the SM10 and interface cable today. So, once I have that installed and working I’ll review that as well. Once again, great product – and looks good too!

For ATV Riding – Incredible value, great quality, enhances safety and enjoyment for all.
Well worth the money for both safety and enjoyment! We just tried these out for the first time on the ATVs and they were incredible. It made our ride much safer as we were able to talk openly through technical portions. We were able to send one of us up the trail first to gauge difficulty (and leave the second behind in case we needed a tow out) and without even stopping or walking back could tell the other to follow. Lead rider could also quickly announce oncoming traffic (hikers, horses, other riders). It also made the ride much more social and enjoyable. We were able to chat the whole time. The woman really liked this part because it makes the whole day of riding a lot better. No more stopping every hour and shutting down and taking off helmets to chat, we can just talk as we go.I have played music myself through the helmet (via bluetoothed phone) and it worked well enough. We tested music sharing around the house and it worked fine. I’ll come back and edit after we have had a chance to try it on the trail.Overall range is great. There were times we were separated by thick brush turns in the trail and I could hear clearly the whole time. Only as far as about 1000 Ft for now but some time we may try to see what the max distance is.Sound quality is great, there is plenty of volume to hear over the engine noise. We wear full face (think motorcycle) helmets to keep dust out of our faces and keep our heads warm in cold weather and even with the visors open there was not any noticeable wind picked up. My headset may need the microphone tuned down just a bit because a few times when revving up my partner said she heard the engine. I did not hear her machine at all through her mic. Either way, it was not excessive and she said she could still hear me talking fine.Comes with 2 USB cables for charging via computer or any other wall charger capable of accepting USB. Also comes with 2 car chargers for charging on the way to trail or on your machine if you have a 12v accessory outlet. Comes with both the boom mic and ‘permanent’ sticky mic so you can get it installed on any type of helmet, full or half, dirtbike style or motorcycle. Installation was very easy.My only gripe is the controls are a bit confusing at first. We do still carry the manual around on our rides just in case we hit a button wrong.Overall, well worth the money. You won’t find a more affordable wireless headset that offers this many features. One word of caution, I do not think Sena recognizes Amazon as an approved vendor so if you register for warranty say you bought it at a local powersports shop since they seem to have issues with you buying from certain vendors.

Communication is a game changer
Communicating with my passenger is a total game changer when riding. My passenger was able to relax more knowing that we were turning in specific directions and pointing out things was so much easier. We both were able to speak naturally without raising our voices at all.Installation was easy even though it seemed kind of daunting at first. The wires snake through the side and under the inside of the helmet padding to Velcro to the liner. The mount is extremely solid on the outer shell of the helmet.Sound quality is just okay. I would say that the audio is all high-end and full of treble. We live in an age where tiny earbuds produce rich sound for their size – this isn’t the case here. But, it beats a blank.Pairing with an iPhone was easy and worked fine. I use it for music and navigation, both work 100%.These get LOUD. But, as noted, it’s all top end. They do manage to get loud enough to hear over a noisy helmet and loud exhaust.Got these as a 2-pack for $200 during the Prime Day deals. I wouldn’t pay more based on the audio quality, but they work, I prefer using it when riding, and the ability to speak with my passenger has reignited my kids’ desire to ride with me. I call that a win.

Easy to install!
I’ve sued several competitors in the past but this Sena works very well. The speakers are clear and there is good high and low tones! I ride a Harley with pipes and I can hear just fine! Easy to install on several helmets!

Bought these for my husband and daughter after trying a different less expensive brand that I ended up returning. These should have been my first choice. Easy to use, and although the sound quality is still a little muffled apparently, overall these work very well. Used the intercom between two riders, and it was great. Nice to be able to play music separately too, as these two do not necessarily like all the same music. Also work well with full face helmets, and the battery life is great !
