Solid and Versatile Gaming Headset
I picked up the SteelSeries Arctis 1 Wired Gaming Headset, and itâs a great all-around performer. The sound quality is clear with decent bass, perfect for gaming on my PS5 and PC. The detachable ClearCast microphone works well for voice chats, and my friends hear me loud and clear. Itâs lightweight and comfortable, even for long gaming sessions. The steel-reinforced headband feels durable, and itâs compatible with pretty much every device. The only minor gripe is that the ear cups can get a bit warm after extended use. Overall, a fantastic, budget-friendly choice!

Lasts for ages!!! Very comfortable, great sound! Very good if you are Neurodivergent!
I have a serious problem with wired headphones. For some reason, even wired headphones that I take very good care of end up with the wires getting pulled in just a way where one ear will stop working, or they only work when you twist them into a specific angle when plugged into your phone, etc… but these headphones are different. I wear my headphones almost 24/7 because I have autism and it helps soothe me, and I listen to loud music all the time as well as using them for gaming and using them for voice chats. These headphones can do it all. They are lightweight, affordable, AND I can wear them in bed while laying on my side for ages without feeling like my ear is going to fall off or explode. The removable microphone is very nice too as long as you don’t lose it. I use these headphones every day and have been using them for over 3 years, only having to buy a single replacement pair whereas most headphones only last me like 4-5 months if I’m lucky, even ones at twice the price. The adjustable dial on the headphones themselves is perfect for quick adjustments, and the sound quality is very nice. I haven’t noticed much sound leakage (sound escaping the headphones when turned up loud so other people can hear your stuff) compared to other headphones at the same price. If you’re like me and you take even bare minimum care of your headphones, this pair will last you forever. I plan on just buying this set of headphones on repeat forever whenever I need a new pair- at least until they stop selling them, because I have NEVER found a pair that’s as nice as these, especially on a budget. I would rate these headphones 100 stars If I could.

Mic has issues
Grabbed these because my old headset kicked the bucket, and my replacement headphones were having issues staying connected (bluetooth). Now the good news is the sound quality is excellent. Very clear, and the volume control is very granular without being uncontrollable and slow to adjust. I haven’t noticed much noise bleed, either. They do NOT have Active Noise Cancelling, so if you’re looking for that look elsewhere. For just standard soundblocking, they work well enough for my purposes.So. That brings us to the mic.Plain and simple, it doesn’t work with my PC. I don’t know if my mic itself is faulty, if something’s wrong with the cords, or what. I’ve tried with and without a splitter-adapter, with and without the (necessary because the cord’s maybe two and a half feet long) extension cord. My computer recognizes that there’s a mic attached, and tries its very best to pick up… but well, at max mic sensitivity, I’m Extremely lucky if the mic picks up 5% of my voice at normal volume. Most of the time it picks up nothing. My assumption is the mouthpiece itself is faulty somehow.

Compliments only
Sleek headset, beautiful looks. The second I got into a party with my friends on xbox they noticed the microphone change. It is a very clear microphone and it is very comfortable to wear

Comfortable & Don’t Bleed Audio
I record Youtube videos, and I’ve had headphones in the past where they bleed just enough audio that the microphone picks up some of the sound leaking out of the headphones (which is an editing nightmare). These ones don’t bleed audio.Their sound quality is excellent, and it’s easy to tell where enemies are coming from in Halo Infinite with their directional sound. But most importantly, they are super comfortable. The fabric ear pads keep you from getting clammy or sweaty during long periods of wearing them.I also love the built in mute and volume control on the headset that don’t require software integration, but is an actual hardware feature (nothing worse than a USB headphone that you “asked” to mute, but it never actually did it, so now your buddies get to hear you burp real loud in their ears).I will say that I don’t love the microphone quality though. It’s sufficient, but I have headsets with much better mics, so I almost always use this WITHOUT the microphone and instead use an external mic.So if you are buying this for the mic, I’d say it’s only a 3 star review. If you are buying it for the headphones, then it’s a solid 5!

Great audio, but can pick up noise.
I was in the market for a new headset to replace my old Sound Blaster Recons and I have of course heard of Steelseriesbut couldn’t afford them until recently I and wanted to try some but waited to give a review. In short, they’re pretty nice. I mainly use them on my computer, but also play games such as Apex Legends, Just Cause3/4 and Monster Hunter World, but I think they really shine with music. They’re very clear and don’t get that crackling you might get with a cheaper pair if the music is too loud. The built in volume control and mute mic slider are both smoothe and strong, and the mic itself is detachable as well. The two downsides to the headset is A) It’s does not come with a mic skirt(luckily I just used the one from my Sound Blasters) and B) It can pick up outside noise if it is lound enough. Also for all my fellow Four Eyes out there, the padding sits quite comfortably on my glasses for hours without feeling like they’re squeezed, and still canceling outside noise. All in all totally worth the money. 10/10 would recommend.

Box smashed and damaged cable
Very disappointed in this headset. Itâs an extremely tight fit if you have a bigger head and the cable was damaged. Sound will only come out of one ear unless you have it plugged in a certain way. When adjusting the cable, it crackles. The build quality feels very cheap. In addition, the box was smashed when I received it. The product box is extremely flimsy and it was shipped in a bag rather than a box.
