NICE little TV, and it’s perfect for my use in my workshop.
I ordered this to replace the little RCA that I had that gave out after only 3 years. I use it at my workbench in the basement, with a coax input from my preamp that feeds the 3 other TV’s in house from an outside antenna. I get a good signal, and this little TV seems to have a decent and sensitive tuner (unlike the RCA). I get all the stations and sub channels that my big TV’s get (29 digital and 2 analogue) so no problems with it picking up. I was worried when I first hooked it up, with the little push-in adapter for the antenna lead – – it was barely picking up 4 channels. I took it out and just hooked my coax onto a gold push-on adapter that allowed it to go into the recessed connection and that did the trick. No problems at all now, so be aware that the little included adapter is pretty much useless – – apparently loses a lot of signal there. The picture is good and sharp and I had no trouble flipping through the menu and tweaking it a little. Attaching the base is not a problem if you have a magnetic screwdriver. Nice little set, all in all, and I hope it lasts longer that the RCA did. It was charged when I took it out of the box and stayed on about 45 minutes, so happy with that, too. I have amplified speakers hooked to the audio jack, so the sound is great. Good purchase, and I’m very happy with this unit. Since I am experienced in TV and antenna installation from way back, this set was no problem for me to set up and use, but were I a novice I suppose the included instructions would be useless, they are pretty bare bones. Knowing that the included antenna would be only used for strong local channels is also a given, so as long as you know to hook it to a good outdoor or amplified indoor antenna you won’t be disappointed. All of these little battery TV’s are pretty much the same in that respect, so keep that in mind. This one is really nice and worth the money, so I’m very happy with it and for my use it’s perfect. Someday when I get time I’ll explore the USB and cable input capabilities, but for right now I’m enjoying it keeping me company at my workbench.

Great picture. Sound fair, Decent price
The picture and colors are vivid and clear. 1080 in a 14″ it will be. I set picture mode to Soft or Standard and audio mode to Movie as the best options imo. Viewing distance 36″ straight on. Side to side view is good. Vertical not so good. Works perfect next to the computer monitor and why I purchased. Small TVs are expensive but this one has a good price in the small TV range. Did not get it for the battery feature. Overall satisfied with picture and sound in those modes.Edit: 7 months later July it’s hot. The original 12 Volt 1.5 Amp output power adapter overheats and quits indicated by the red light on the TV. Ordered a 12 Volt 3.0 Amp output power adapter that does not heat up after hours of TV viewing unlike the original adapter did. Otherwise still satisfied with the TV. Here is a link to the adapter used to replace the original.https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BYVK222Q?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailsEdit: Almost 11 months the remote quit luckily at volume level 10. Can’t find a replacement remote for this SC-2814 model. If you have Dish with an old remote go to settings>remote control. Select TV under Devices. Select TV Pairing Wizard. Use the menu on the left to find then select Supersonic. From there it will prompt through a list of 12 codes. Once to code 12 volume up becomes power on/off. Volume down becomes mute. No it won’t do volume up/down or menu for the TV. Hope this helps.*** Final Review*** Purchased Nov 2022. Worked until Jan 2024. The smallest 120v only TV I could find is Insignia 19″ for cheap at Best Buy. No batteries, no converters and Dish remote works with it.

It’s A Good Portable TV, But…
I agree with others that say you cannot pick up many stations without some kind of powered or directional external antenna, preferably not the ones that came with the unit. The telescoping antenna is absolutely worthless for picking up any stations while scanning. I’m only a 15 minute drive from one local station here & it cannot receive that channel. It also cannot receive the stronger network stations (NBC, CBS, FOX & others..they broadcast 30 to 50 thousand watts of power here) that are about 20 minutes away. And that’s also trying to receive them while upstairs here, about 15 feet off the ground. But… when I attach my powered flat wall antenna (it looks like a rectangular plastic dinner table place mat), it can now receive those elusive stations that the telescoping antenna & magnetic based antenna just couldn’t. I now receive 19 channels with the wall antenna. Zero with the telescoping & magnetic antenna. And yes, I tried walking around the room with the telescoping antenna attached, but it just wouldn’t see the stations that the wall antenna found & set in memory. Oh, yes…the stations stay in memory after you power it off, too. That’s a big plus there! On other good news with this device… it has a pretty good picture for a small unit. Nice & bright without the colors being washed out. The sound is quite loud & understandable (surprisingly) when you crank up the volume, even though the speakers are on the backside, not front-facing like a normal TV has. The remote, on the other hand, is something else. It has the plastic bubble type buttons that you have to press HARD for it to work. I mean, pretty hard! And you have to have small fingers or else you end up pressing two buttons at once. Using your fingernail at an angle doesn’t work because you can’t press down hard enough for it to respond.I can’t say about the USB feature because I don’t have any movies or pictures to show on it. What I CAN say, is that it supplies 5 volts to supply juice for the powered antenna (it’s a USB powered wall antenna) so it’s got that going for it.Battery life is okay. It lasted me about an hour before showing that the battery is low. Maybe I didn’t charge it long enough, but an hour is okay by me. Just plug it in & watch forever. It does work while charging, so it’s got that going for it too! This’ll be a nice addition while I’m out camping. Since I have a solar generator I take along for primitive camping (no hookups), I can watch TV for a few hours after dark, instead of using up my data on the cellphone to pass the time before crawling into the sleeping bag for the night. I’m sure the powered wall antenna will pull those stations in out there in the middle of nowhere. If it’s that good inside, I’ll bet it’ll be even better outside!

Purchased this on Dec. 27 2022. It lasted until April 2024. It makes a high pitch squealing noise and then shuts down after 2-5minutes use. It is trash.

I needed a small TV (for the kitchen) which needed to be compatible with my Videotron Illico 4K cable service. It worked just fine. Then I switched to Videotron’s Helix service and it works great with truly sharp, vibrant images. It also runs on a chargable battery and can receive signals off-air.True, the sound is similar to a transistor radio, but I don’t mind, as it is actually very useful to cut through the kitchen noise. ð

If your are looking for a small monitor for your Icom IC-7000 radio, this one works great! All other modes work as they should from what I could check. Living out in the sticks, I only have 1 analog TV station so I could not check the digital reception. I found that the receiver was not very sensitive using just the rod antenna. (my old Sony Watch Man receives much better) Using rabbit ears, I was able to receive a noisy picture from the low power transmitter in my area. Connecting the antenna to the RF output of my Satellite receiver gave very good reception.
