Amazing Product all round
I purchased one camera for the front door as there were some security concerns on our building and we left the apartment unsupervised for long periods of time. It was definitely one of the best purchases I have made.Pricing is very fair, the 2K resolution works great and allows to view detail while zooming. The app is free and can hold multiple cameras for free, I believe 4 is the limit but need to make sure. Through the app you can setup motion-detection based recording or chose to record all the time. There you can also speak through the camera, move it around and create default positions/viewing angles to chose from. There are also premium features that require payment, like cloud-based storage and movement follow but the base app is really all you need and works great! You can look at the footage from anywhere.I have since purchased another to monitor the inside of the apartment and two for my mother’s house. Keep in mind you do need to buy SD cards to record locally but those are pretty cheap, around $10 for 64gb here on amazon.I would definitely recommend these for properties left unsupervised that require supervision (AirBNBs, warehouses, shops, etc)

As advertised and MORE!
I’ve been researching security cameras for months but didn’t want to pay monthly for someone else to store videos for me. With Tapo you can afford to have the security you need and not worry about having to spend extra each month. These cameras are AM-A-ZING!Easy to install through their app, connects to wifi seamlessly, has great video quality, and are the best value I have found.I was skeptical at first but I also purchased micro SD cards for storage. 128mb cards easily store a days worth of video (or more) and can easily be saved to your phone to share, review, or edit.I could not be happier with my purchase and will be getting more very soon.I own a small appliance shop and wanted more security for the front entrance. The photo is recorded in 1080p but can be adjusted easily in the app up to 2k.This is just my 3rd day with these installed and I keep learning more and more exciting features.Highly recommend!

Pain to set up but great after
My dog is now an adult and we are transitioning from being in a crate to free roaming when weâre not home. I want eyes and ears and two way audio on my furry dude. Canât say I spent a lot of time researching, these were on sale, work with Alexa, had good reviews- so I pulled the trigger. For the price and peace of mind, why not?Out of the box I almost sent them back. The first one I attempted to set up had to be placed immediately over my modem/router to connect to WiFi. So first piece of advice is -install the micro SD card, and go through the motions of setting up the camera next to your router. You can move it later. It was three different positions and attempts and I nearly threw it before I finally put it next to the router and finally connected. The update fixed âissues with wifi stabilityâ ummm yeah it did.Second piece of advice is – if youâre using a phone or tablet for set up make sure that âautojoinâ is off for your home network because youâll be switching between home and the Tapo device. Once the camera is connected to WiFi switch from the Tapo network back to home.Anyway⦠once the device connected, the app let me know it needed an update. Did that, took a few minutes and then all of a sudden this little device went from âgod why did I buy this POS pain in the rear trash?â, to:OMG I LOVE YOU LITTLE TALKING ROBOT EYE!Set up- easy. Crisp. Video is amazingly clear and exceeds my expectations. Audio is great. Clear, loud enough to be heard in the same room. Detection is insanely instant. Connecting to Alexa was also easy once updated. My second unit connected to wifi even though it was much farther away than the first unit. Also updated right away and had no frustration connecting.Tip- these are very lightweight. Instead of screwing holes in the ceiling, I attached the device to the ceiling with Command brand picture hanging strips (the bumpy Velcro-like type). Holds them up very well.My packaging had a quick start guide but no other instructions. Wouldâve been easier/faster/less expletives had there been a better guide. In the end Iâm happy with the product.

Easy to set up-just about anywhere
What a blast! We got the camera to see how the new Shetland Sheepdog puppy was reacting to being left alone in his bed. Turns out to be kind of an emotional experience because he barked and paced the cage for a pretty long time. But this camera is awesome! It connects with the WiFi in the house and allows two way audio over the net. It has pan and tilt plus the usual digital zoom. But, it follows an image in the room. Kinda creepy for us for the first time but it is very beneficial to see the motion of someone in the room thatâs not supposed to be there. It has a privacy mode (all controlled by an app on the phone) that needs to be turned off when you donât want to be recorded in your birthday suit (come on now, you have an over active imagination).

Great Camera!! I bought 3!
I had Armcrest cameras for several years and everytime I moved or changed internet I had to reconnect them and they were awful so this last Prime Day I decided I was done and have had good luck with TP Link plugs so I wanted to try them. OMG!! I got them connected without one curse word or vein about to pop out of my head. The functionality surpasses the old cameras too. Besides having pan/tilt and two-way communications, it also has motion detection that follows the moment and a baby crying alert. They are great!! You can either mount them or sit them on a flat surface.

Me encantó por la facilidad de instalación, software amigable (se pueden hacer automatizaciones), compatible con alexa. Muy buena definición y el monitoreo que te avisa al celular cuando algo se mueve o solo cuando es una persona está muy bueno!
