Ubiquiti INS-3AF-I-G The Adapter transforms almost any Ubiquiti PoE (Power over Ethernet) device into a fully compliant 48V, 802.3af-compatible product. The Adapter works seamlessly with a variety of 802.3af switches for remote power control applications. As you manage and monitor your network, you can conveniently power or power cycle your remote devices using your 802.3af switch. For ease of power management, you can centralize the 802.3af switch and power source, and you can include a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) as a backup. This way your network continues to run even during a temporary power outage. The Adapter provides an additional ±15kV of Ethernet isolation for built-in protection that lessens the risk of ESD or surge damage to your devices.
Ubiquiti Networks INS-3AF-I-G Passive PoE to 802.3af Adapters. Instant 802.3af Adapters transform passive PoE devices into 802.3af-compliant products.

Worked great
I use two of these in order to power “airMAX NanoStation 5AC Loco” point-to-point bridge units (24v) from my Unifi POE switches (48v).Works as intended. I have these paired with Ubiquiti’s gig ethernet surge suppressors, and they work fine together.

Works for tp-link EAP110
Works perfect for converting standard 48v POE to tp-links passive 24v

converts standard POE to 24v poe
If you have some of the older access points that are powered by 24v yet your switch is the newer 49v standard this device will convert the voltage for you. Most switches (like Cisco) do not support 24v. Not sure why Ubiquiti used 24v in the first place, the good news is that the newer Ubiquiti AP’s use 48v.This device eliminates extra cabling and power bricks in your network racks.

Works as advertised
No complaints. Did exactly what it needed to do

Brought my camera back to life with POE
Need this to convert 48v POE back to 24v POE as the newest Ubiquiti switch no longer supports 24v. It was a “had to buy”, but it does work as advertised.

Turned out not to be what I needed, but it was what I ordered and on time

great product works like a charm

I have some older G3 cameras that I needed to change from 24V passive due to my Unifi Gen 2 16-port switch not having that option to send POE down the line. I put these inline at my patch panel and voila, 802.3af was sent to my old G3 cameras and they connected no problem. 100% recommended for this situation.
