Good first one!
OK so I got this USB hub because it actually worked on the switch.Which it does!!!!Then I started looking around.Things that made me loose my interest in it are1) Ethernet speed is only 100 Mbps. (not bad for the Switch really… but for other devices that’s a draw back2) 2 usb 3.0 Ports. (There are other devices with more ports… and why settle?)

A Portable Dock
This will work for me to be able to take my Nintendo Switch to a friend’s house. The only downside is that it needs a power adapter that isn’t included.I used this dock with the original power adapter successfully.

Great for travel
We always take our Switch when we travel and this is great for connecting the device to the television, and it makes a nice USB hub for your PC or laptop as well.

Works!
The first and most important thing you’ll need to remember when using this is that it needs a power source plugged in to the PD port on the hub. Things I’ve tried that work: – The PD port on my powered USB hub. – The standard port on my powered USB hub. – The Switch AC adapter. – A 10000mAh power bank. – 5000mAh and 12000mHa batteries for heated clothing. – The USB 2.0 data port on the back of my computer. If any of these don’t work for you, it may be a cord issue. I’m using a good USB-C cable intended for providing solo power to run disc drives.Theoretically, this means that if you’re at a friend’s house and want to play your Switch on a large screen, you can power the hub from other electronics in their entertainment center that have an available USB port. Always ask if that’s okay first, though!I’m not sure what good the power banks or batteries do unless you’ve also got a portable, battery-powered display to go with it, but it’s still info worth filing away. Also, really don’t plug this (or any other devices you want to charge) in to the ports on your computer. Just because it’s only supposed to draw power doesn’t mean that’s all it’s actually doing. Plus you’re putting extra wear-and-tear on your computer anyway. Get a USB power hub and enjoy some peace of mind!So far, this works just as expected. Audio and video, both, were transferred through the HDMI cable to my monitor. Response time was fine. It did take a couple of seconds for it to make a connection sometimes, though. If you really want a portable setup, I recommend packing this up with a long USB extension and a spare power brick, just in case you need to run the cable to a wall socket.

Limited HDMI bandwidth; there are better choices
First, although the product page refers to the brand “ShineeKee”, the hub I received is marked “Bighala,” so I’m not sure whose product this actually is.And while it works, it doesn’t reliably support 4Kp30 or the full range of video modes offered by current iPad Air/iPad Pro and Mac systems. I tested it with a 10-foot HDMI 2.1 cable, the best-quality HDMI cable I own. With other USB-C to HDMI adapters, my iPad can drive my Sony TV at 4Kp60 HDR with Dolby Vision through that same cable. With this adapter, the iPad only goes up to 1080p with SDR, and it doesn’t even support Stage Manager. If your display or video source is limited to 1080p anyway, this will work for you, but there are cheaper 1080p USB C-to-HDMI adapters on Amazon. As for USB support, two Type A sockets are provided. Both have blue USB 3.0 connectors, but one has a small silkscreened legend that says “USB 2.0” and that one definitely does not support USB 3 speeds. It’s just plain wrong to use the blue USB 3.0 connector when USB 3.0 support is not available, and it will tend to confuse people whose eyes aren’t good enough to read the fine print. Not recommended.

USB hub that works with a switch
I specifically got this to facilitate connection with my switch and it’s so nice to have a clean cut device like this that does it well. Simple and effective and it is built solidly on top of it. I gave it a 10/10!
