Well made, highly adaptable, Happy with the transfer speeds
I am incredibly happy with this USB A&C to Ethernet hub. It looks great, has a nice-looking enclosure, and isn’t massive, which is important when on the go.Build Quality: I have bought RSHTECH products before. I love the material they are made of. They have a metal body with minimal prints on the device. This ethernet adapter feels sturdy and looks sharp!Packaging: I have been liking the packaging that RSHTECH uses. It has minimal plastic use to create less long-lasting waste products. The one plastic bag on the inside of the packaging feels nice that I don’t plan to throw it out.Interface: Even though it’s an ethernet adapter, I really love that they didn’t leave any unused bandwidth and added two USB A and 1 USB C ports as well. It’s nice to have some extra ports since increasingly more laptops are coming with fewer USB ports built in.Drivers: Although one might be upset, they must download drivers on Windows to use the ethernet adapter, I like that there are custom drivers being made. I’d like to believe this would be that the device is made specifically with the drivers in mind and will produce better results rather than using universal Windows drivers.Overall: I am really happy with this product. It looks nice, is a good size, feels to be made well, and adds more interfaces than I would have expected for the cost.Cons: I’m sure there is something about this product someone won’t like it, but I think the description and adapter is straight forward. It does what it needs to, does it well, and looks good while doing it. I persaonlly don’t have any cons myself. I’m really happy with what it does.

Great little hub, but disable “USB power save” in Device Manager.
This is a very well made hub. It has just what I needed – 1 USB-C port and 2 USB-A ports. It’s USB 3.2 Gen 2, so 10gbps on both USB-A ports and the USB-C port, and has a gigabit ethernet port. I noticed that everytime I lock or put the PC to sleep and wake it back up, the ethernet has to reconnect. Meaning it disconnects during lock/sleep. I have allowed the PC to not restrict power to any of the USB ports, but it still does it. On board ethernet doesn’t behave this way. I think it’s a USB thing, where anything connected to it is temporarily suspended when in any kind of rest state. From reviews I’ve read of this and other brands, they all do this. Not a big deal, though, as it will just take about 5 seconds and reconnect on its own when woken up. To allow it reconnect on its own, in Device Manager, make sure to disable the “turn off USB to save power” option. If you don’t do this, it will disconnect during rest states, and when you wake your PC up, it’ll stay disconnected. You’ll have to unplug and plug it back in to reconnect.

Good speeds and connectivity
I have a laptop with USB 3x ports but a lousy onboard NIC. This adapter works great! I’ve had speeds comparable with my desktop and the connection has been rock solid. Make sure you have at least a 3.x USB port or you won’t get the speeds you want.

Just what I needed:
Mini dock for an Ubuntu laptop, no Display Adapter, and you want to use native anyway. My laptops no longer have native Ethernet Ports. This adapter is great: I unplug it and my power adapter, and my laptop is good to go! And the dongle cable makes for USB – B ports without the crowding and ‘prying’ of a USB thumb drive directly into the laptop. For me, this is easy Plug N’ Play with Ubuntu.

USB A/C to Ethernet + USB Hub
Well made product, feels solid and sturdy. Built-in convenience with USB – A to C adapter. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an easy way to increase internet speeds for laptops that don’t have built-in LAN port.

If you have a loptop without and ethernet connection, you need this adapter
I compared internet speeds with this adapter and with WIFI only. As you might expect, there was several orders of magnitude improvement with an ethernet connection. This device is simple, high quality and effective. Strongly recommended.

USB hub with an Ethernet port
Many laptops today don’t come with a built-in Ethernet port any more, totally relying on WiFi, like my Chromebook. But sometimes I need to connect through an Ethernet cable, for a project that I work on. This little hub does exactly that, and more. It has USB A/C connectivity into my Chromebook which allows it to be wired to my network switch, and the same hub provides 2 USB3 ports and a USB-C port.

I got this to test and try and I have to say I am very impressed with it.The build quality is very nice, metal of a type and looks very polished and good quality.I have tried all the ports and the transfer rate is the same plugged in to it as opposed to plugging devices directly into the computer so no transfer speed loss occurs. It has a USB A adaptor that can plug over the USB C connector at the end. This is a very useful feature because a lot of computers are now being built without USB A ports on, even though there will still be loads of USB A drives still around. The ethernet adaptor gives full speeds and I tested it direct from my router. Again this is a very useful feature because, like USB A ports, manufacturers are getting rid of ethernet ports on computers these days. The only improvement I would like to have seen is it to have more A ports on it, but I assume the design of it restricts that.

Received this item and while it works, it is just a rebranded AXIS AX88179A which as you can even see in Windows says that it is a USB 3.2 Gen 1 and not USB 3.2 Gen 2 as advertised. Very disappointed. Vastly different speeds. Also only got up to around 500 Mbps on the Gigabit Ethernet Adapter, around half of the so called Gigabit Adapter should be capable of doing. Could have gotten something else much cheaper for what this can do. Look elsewhere.
