Easy install, seamless connection, and works perfectly!
I bought this to use on my 2017 GMC Sierra 1500, which only supports Apple Car Play and Android Auto via WIRED USB connection. This device paired to my phone and installed in my truck without issue. I have a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra (personal) and an iPhone (work). The ability to use either of these phones with my infotainment system wirelessly via this device is just the solution I was looking for.The price was very reasonable and the size of the box is small enough to easily tuck away or stick off to the side somewhere (via supplied car tape/stickers). The connection is essentially immediate upon placing my key in the ignition. I have not experienced any connectivity issues and the audio quality doesn’t seem to have been effected for phone calls, navigation, and/or use of my Spotify or Pandora apps.

Works as expected for a decent price.
It is easy to set up and works well once it has initialized and connected to your phone, but this can take a couple of minutes after you turn your car on. The audio player connects faster than the mapping software. It is nice to leave my phone in my pocket as sometimes I forgot it and left it in my car when I had to take it out and plug it in.

Having trouble keeping your phone connected to Android Auto? This is the solution!
I have a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek that had Android Auto built into the radio but it requires that I use a data cable connected to the phone. This was fine until a few months ago when it started disconnecting randomly. It appears the charger port in the phone had become a little loose. This was just enough that, if I hit a bump, it would disconnect the phone from Android Auto. And sometimes I couldn’t get it reconnected at all. After this happened to me on a long road trip and I was left navigating the last hour with the phone in my hand, I was afraid I might need a new phone to solve the issue. I really didn’t want to do that since this phone is less than a year old and great in every other way. This device has saved me. I cannot believe it’s so inexpensive. Getting it setup was pretty easy with the included instructions. Does it sometimes take a minute or three to connect? Yeah. But it always connects and once it connects initially, it doesn’t disconnect. This was decidedly NOT the experience I was having before getting this device, so I’m thrilled.

Would not connect
I followed the instructions to the letter several times and it would not work. Tried everything but nothing worked. Waste of time and money.

Carplay comes right up on my truck in seconds butâ¦
For some reason 50% of the time, music plays on my iphone instead of through the car speakersIf I forward/pause etc on the screen in the car – it controls the music, but I canât get it to switch music to the car speakers without unplugging and plugging it back in.I guess you get what you pay for

Works great!
I had an older Ford Edge that has Android Auto, but you had to plug into the USB connector. With this installed, Andoird Auto works wirelessly. I have had no issues with it.

Android Auto
Pros:â¢Great for wireless Android Auto. Connects in a few seconds. Not crazy fast. Probably takes 5-10 seconds. It’s fast enough for me.â¢Price! For $25ish this is 1 of the cheapest Android Auto dongles on Amazon. I have a $60 dongle from Amazon as well and I haven’t noticed any difference in usability.Cons:â¢No YouTube/Netflix. Who’s this is normal for an AA dongle, he photos on this indicate YouTube is 1 of the apps on this which is incorrect.â¢Says it can be updated but I couldn’t get the steps to work.â¢Build Quality. It definitely feels cheap by comparison to my other Wireless AA dongle. I fear it will break soon.I’m an Android user so I can’t vouch for CarPlay.

Works great!
Has been working perfectly with Android Auto in my Jeep Wrangler. Haven’ tried it with Apple Carplay. Connects every time and stays connected.
