Very good quality Smoke and Carbon Monoxide detectors
Introduction:• I bought a three pack in order to install Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors in each of my three bedrooms.• I bought a single Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors to install in my garage.• The total cost for the four Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors averages $33.50 per detector.• The above Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors supplement three wired smoke alarms, and three CO alarms which are located in each of three hallways in my house.• I have been using these Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors for six months now.Assembly:• The assembly was minimal: drilling holes in the walls, insert anchors in each hole, screw the backing plates to the anchors, and attaching the detectors.• The detectors in the three pack were pre-paired with each other. The single detector needed to be paired to one of the detectors in the three pack.Pros:• Installation and testing were very easy.• Pairing was easy.• The batteries have a 10-year life span, so it is not necessary to change batteries once or twice a year as with conventional replaceable battery detectors.• Checking each detector is a simple push of each detector’s button.• When it comes to replacing the Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors, you will have to replace only one-half of the detectors, when compared to if you had installed separate, replaceable battery-operated Smoke Detectors and Carbon Monoxide Detectors.Cons• You may be able to purchase other brand’s 10-year Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors for approximately $30 each, which would be a savings of approximately $3.50 per detector if cost is a factor.Misc & Tips• If cost is a factor, I recommend doing due diligence by reviewing the ratings of the various Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detectors you are considering. Conclusion• I highly recommend the X-Sense Wireless Interconnected Combination Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector.

1 of 5 did not make it 14 months
I purchased the non RF 5 pack SC06. One of them started nuisance alarming on CO at about 14 months. If I understand the instructions correctly, you can not turn it off, though there’s an OFF position for a switch on the back. But the switch is somehow physically restricted from going to OFF position. You can only Deactivate the unit in which there’s no going back once you do. You simply have to discard it once it’s Deactivated. Note on the nuisance alarm: I put the unit next to other units that were alarming and it alarmed. It would sometimes go back to normal. So when it did go to normal. I put it outside. It still ended up nuisance alarming again.Overall, I think these are value priced pretty well. They are easy to install. They are loud. And I have no indication that there will be an issue with the other 4 units. After the issue I had, I do wonder if I should have went with a model that could utilize the available remote.

Easy Install
These smoke/CO detectors are super easy to install. Simply figure out where to mount it and screw it into the wall. No hardwiring necessary, and the batteries are a 10 year lithium battery that never needs to be replaced. You just throw it away after 10 years and replace the whole unit.

Great Price!
We have rental properties and these smoke/CO2 alarms work perfectly and the price is great! We have been replacing another national name brand with these as the other ones fail!

I have two
I bought one of these a few years ago to use in the ice shelter. A lot less worries that something bad will happen while running the propane heater. I also bought one last spring to put in the camper. The propane alarm was faulty and kept going off so I disconnected it and bought this.
