Customers like the ease of setup, size, and notification system of the gas smoke fire alarm. They mention it’s very easy to connect to their web service, and the app works well. Some also appreciate the value for money. However, some customers differ on functionality, wifi connectivity, smoke detection, and appearance.

Tiny but mighty!
Such a cool little thing, I’m so glad I bought it. I have other “normal” smoke detectors in my residence but I don’t have a smart one and having two dogs, this really gave me the peace of mind I was after.First off, it’s really small!! A lot smaller than I thought or was expecting but the fact that it’s “smart” with lots of handy features at that size is amazing. You just download the app, easily set up an account, then it will search for and add the detector seamlessly. After mounting it to the wall, which honestly is a piece of cake, you can give it a test from the app and check its status. The app will let you test the alarm, check the battery life, check the signal strength between it and your router, etc.You can add a friend or neighbour to your account so if the alarm does go off and isn’t silenced in a certain amount of time it will send a notification to that person. Obviously it will alert you if the alarm goes off as well. There are paid services you can add to this such as automatic fire truck dispatch and such but I find the free, included features more than adequate.I just wanted to be notified of smoke/fire when I wasn’t home so I’d be able to quickly alert a neighbour who could hopefully assist in saving my dogs if it ever came to that. I hate leaving them alone for extended periods of time because the thought of a fire or something fire related happening and me not being notified and/or getting back soon enough is always in the back of my mind. This little thing has truly given me the confidence to go about my day without the slightest worry of not being notified in case of smoke or a fire.Definitely recommend.Oh and this thing is LOUD!!

Good Stuff!
I bought several of these smoke detectors for my summer home. Two of them were not this model but the combination smoke/monoxide detectors. However, Iâm covering all of them in this review. The main reason for buying them was the WiFi connectivity and smartphone App abilities. As we do remote monitoring on our homes (while away) for security, leak detection, environmental, etc. Adding fire sensing was a must. The installation was simple. No issues with WiFi connectivity (during the time we have them deployed). The range seems decent. Even the detached garage sensor works as it is physically distant from the WiFi router. As noted from other users: the mounting holes are non standard on the sensors. No deal breaker in my book. The phone alarm works when you press the test button on the sensor. Niceð

Great little smoke alarm.
Just received it today and set up went great.I noticed the video reviews when i was purchasing but im not sure those people understand how fire alarms work. There is a photo sensor inside them and when a certain percentage of light is blocked out the alarm goes off. One guy had no smoke, and the other guy had a tiny stream outdoors. Its hard to get smoke alarms to go off outdoors unless there is heavy smoke. Dissipates too fastTook the smoke alarm to unfinished part of basement (my workshop) so i could test with a cigarette. This way i could easily exhaust fumes with fan when done.Lit up cigarette and began setting it up. Alarm went off unexpectedly. Wasnt even blowing into it. Then after set up i blew smoke in and it went off. They work great.Reason they go off so easy in kitchen is because smoke from food & grease contains large particles which block the sensor easier, so try not to set up directly over stove.Love this alarm. You can invite up to 12 family members to be connected, so everyone will get the alarm notification, even if theyre not in the house, as long as your wifi is working.Alarm has a volume level too, which is cool. Its pretty loud even when not up all the way. Of course you should definitely have them up all the way.Its small too. Can easily be palmed. Very easy to mount with 2 screws that come included. They use a CR123A battery (as opposed to 2 AA batteries which is normal in U.S.). So id order a few CR123A, because you probably dont have them lying around. Id also suggest buying a better brand, as this one is already down a bar.Definitely going to order more of these alarms, and some batteries
