Great system, works exactly as advertised
X-Sense hit a home run with this setup. Gives me a real-time alert on my phone if my smoke detectors, water sensor, or temperature sensors are triggered, even if I am not at home!Base station connected easily with my Wi-Fi and the listener/sensor connected easily to the base station. Listener is mounted on 2nd floor next to smoke detector and maintained excellent signal strength with the base station located on the 1st floor. I tested the listener with an actual beep test of the smoke detector and it worked flawlessly forwarding a push notification through the app to my phone alerting me immediately with an alert tone and message.I also purchased an X-Sense water sensor that works with this base station for use next to my sump pump that also connected easily to the base station, and has excellent signal strength from down in the basement. This sensor also tested flawlessly from its location in the basement. This system worked so well that I decided to purchase the temperature/humidity sensors that also work with this base station that I will use in my home, garage, and 2 freezers located in my garage. Real piece of mind to have immediate notification of triggered detectors even when you are not home.

Peice of mind
I like this for the peice of mind I get.I’m not really sure why it needs to be 2 separate devices? A base station and the listener. The base station plugs in to house power and connects to wifi. The listener is set up near a smoke detector and is battery powered. The listener communicates with the base station when an alarm is heard. The base station sends an alert to my phone through the xsense app.Just the fact that I will know if my smoke detector is going off when I’m not home is a big thing for me. Hopefully I would be able to call fire department quicker than a neighbor when I’m not home. I feel like this is a must for my dogs that are home when I’m working.

Expensive low function solution
This listener listens to one alarm. If you buy a dozen interconnected alarms then all of the alarms will go off if there is a problem anywhere (because of the wireless internet connection) This listener does not react to the alarm that’s next to it if it’s going off because other alarms are going off. It only reacts if the alarm next to it is going off because the fire is next to it also. That means you need a dozen listeners to go with your dozen alarms. Unnecessary low function solution that could have been a good solution at no extra manufacturing cost.

Easy setup, effective messaging, but barking dog may set off detector
First, I LOVE this setup. For this price I was NOT expecting to be notified on my phone at work. I thought it was just localized to the WI-FI that the base was connected to.Anyways, here’s a little background. I installed this in an upstairs apartment across the street from our home. The detector is installed adjacent to a smoke/CO alarm, and they are in the line of sight to our home. I’m estimating there is about 130 feet of distance. From the detector in the upstairs apartment, you can look straight through the window to our home across the street where the base is located.Installed very easy. Easy instructions. Tested it just fine. But when the alarm activated on my phone at my job one day — when I wasn’t near a WIFI — I realized it’s nothing less than awesome. However…it recently started going off at random and we thought we were either hacked or the system had a bug, until we realized the apartment owner’s new dog was setting it off with his barking. Had to actually witness this to believe it. This doesn’t always happen when he barks, it’s just on two very recent occasions the system activated without any smoke or CO alarms going off but guess who was barking when it happened!Kinda crazy. I’m guessing the detector is set off by decibels and not frequencies because his barking thankfully isn’t close to the high-pitched chirp of the actual smoke/CO alarm.Still, I recommend this detector.

Works perfectly
Installed two listeners in about a half hour. One for the interconnected fire alarms and one for the CO2 detector. Tested on two Samsung 10 phones and it works flawlessly. I purchased these because I have 2 homes so I can monitor both. I also have a dog who is home alone often and it would just kill me if a fire started while we were away and he was not able to escape the fire. These devices afford me peace of mind.

Great alarm listener
I have a battery powered heat detector in the garage in case something happens with a vehicle. However, this is not interconnected with the rest of the house, so I wanted to find a way for a device to alert my phone should the alarm go off.I had used Alexa’s Guard for this purpose, but it was an imperfect solution as it was across the garage and its detection of test alarms was spotty at best. The last straw was the recent email that the Guard’s alarm listener function was going to a subscription model.I researched other options and the only other one I could find was a Ring listener which required a base and a subscription. Luckily I found this item. This is a very elegant solution as it’s a one-time reasonable expense and works great. The phone app is downloaded and pairing them with the devices is extremely easy as they interconnect over the 2.4 Ghz Wifi network. The listener is installed within 6 inches of the alarm and detects it easily.Really happy with this solution which is no longer spotty nor does it require a subscription.

Nice devide- However… dogs barking will activate it as well
This device will send you a push notification if it detects a loud sound coming from the smoke detector next to it. However, I installed it two days ago and it has gone off twice. I noticed that it not only picks up the noise from the smoke detector but also loud barking from a dog. Our dog activated the devide twice. I think the compnay should create an update to solve this issue.
