Windows driver may not automatically load
Popped the adapter in and nothing happened. Opened Device Manage to find the plug and play installation had not worked. Read through the instructions and to Smalu’s credit they documented this potential and how to resolve (noted as a Windows bug). This requires locating the XBox Wireless Adapter driver from the Microsoft catalog website. Note once you download the driver, it’s in a cab format from which the driver files must be extracted before loading. Also if you happen to download an earlier version of the driver, Windows Update will provide you with an option to update. Once the driver was installed I was impressed with how responsive my Xbox controller was.

Same power 1/3 the bulk and 30% cheaper than official brand
It’s not shown in the previews but the pairing button is on the bottom face of the device.Works and well solved all my lag issues for PC, my hardware was upgraded but simple games were still lagging, I figured out it was my controller connection, if you use Xbox controllers as you main PC controller, you should use a device like this, the native blue tooth will cause random lag especially if you’re in a house with lots of blue tooth devices. Get this one if you don’t want to pay extra for a brand logo.

Dead on arrival…
I guess this is what I get for trying to save a few bucks. This thing feels very cheaply made and it didn’t work at all. The led didn’t even light up when connected. I tried to press the sync button, press and hold the sync button, and that was on my of and my laptop. Piece of junk if you ask me.

Do This After it Stops Working
Mine stopped working after month of using it almost every day.I was about to buy another one until I read a review from another Wireless Adapter talking about updating the drivers.I followed the instructions given in the booklet, and sure enough the wireless adapter works again!!Don’t give up when it stops working! Update the driver and get back to gaming 🙂

Overheated
EDIT:Changing my review from 1 star to 4. It seems like my disconnection issues where with the USB port, not the device. Still going to give it 4 stars because of the overheating, but unsure of the product stability.Honestly, not worth even wasting your time, very frustrating. It seems like the device overheats itself to the point where it disconnects the controller and stops working, then you have to wait until it cools down before you can use it again.Just buy a real one, its like 7$ more anyway.

Easy to install
I purchased this for my Series X controller to play wirelessly on Steam since PC Bluetooth is never reliable due to lag/delays . Iâm running Windows 11 and it synced and paired quick and easily with my controller. Itâs a one time installation that takes seconds and doesnât require you to repeat the process. It connects automatically when you power on your controller if youâre on the ropes with purchasing this product. Everything runs flawlessly overall without any hiccups, and Iâm very satisfied with my purchase!

I paid 17$ to make a headache go away.
I read some reviews about driver and stability issues that almost kept me from buying thia adapter to run off my newly built pc. I had enough issues alrdy dealing with realtek hardware, i didnt want another headache over a dam controller. Regardless, this was what a true plug and llay experience was. I plugged it into a basic usb 3.0 port on my front io and instantly got the noti about connecting a new device. The controller paired right away and was good to go.. i ran it for over an hour like 15ft away and never had a drop or any latency issue. The first initial play i did was actually on a old driver version and still had no issues. I ran a check for updates when i got off since i forgot to initially, which only reinforced the plug-in play phrase when connecting new hard/software. I spent more time typing this this stupid diatribe about a controller review than it did to open a box, plug-in the usb style adapter, agree with windows to connect said device, then using it to play xbox. If both they dont recognize eachother or still cant rly pair, might be a privacy setting related to network discovery or device/file permissions in windows. Also you could run your BIOS to check if a legacy or io setting with your ports are set properly but you should be good
