Great value and picture for such an inexpensive projector!
So I purchased this for traveling and watching with a Firestick. I have a home theater with a Epson projector that looks amazing so that what I am comparing this to.The good:1- Extremely inexpensive2 – Good brightness3 – Good sound4 – Large image size5 – Easy to setup and useConclusion:For the money it’s really, really good, but that being said, it is subject to it’s physical limitations and what your expectations are.Very impressive for what amounts to a super inexpensive projector! If you’re looking for projector in it’s price range, you can’t go wrong!

Annoying
The short:clunky interface, wireless connection is useless, at least when using an iPhone 15.Pros: size, internal speakersCons: not user friendly, runs HOT fastThe long:I ordered 2 different projectors. I wanted small…pico small but those don’t offer keystone correction so I opted for a mini. First projector was great (VISSPL). A bit bigger than the yoton, louder too. EASY SET UP. In less than 5 minutes I was watching a movie on my ceiling with sound from an external speaker- sound perfectly synced. It needed a lot of cables, it appeared messy IMO, so I searched for one with wifi/wireless and Bluetooth connection.Enter yoton. This one is smaller…quieter (0.5-0.75 compared to the visspl)..but I fumbled with it for almost 2 hours before getting anything from my device to project. The interface is clunky. First, connecting WiFi was a nightmare- press the wrong button? Sorry, everything is gone and you have to start over. After connecting to my home network, I was able to select cast as I do with my TVs but nothing was projecting… no photos or videos, not even from my own library. I then plugged it in using an adapter….nothing. Realized I need to select hdmi instead of screen mirroring… More fumbling- finally made it back to the main screen after mashing buttons in the correct order. Selected “hdmi” connect.. alas. It works. Too bad I wasted all that time connecting to my wifi- useless. The light is SO bright I found myself squinting. I was able to lower the brightness but it only keeps those settings while casting via dock (plugging into hdmi port with a usbc to hdmi adapter). Going back to the main projector menu had me feeling like my pupils were dilated then flashed with a halogen bulb. My vision is still recovering and it’s been 15 minutes. All in all I do not believe this projector to be very user friendly. Perhaps if i utilized the remote or something like Roku/chromecast/firestick I might have a better opinion…I will be returning the yoton.objectively, the fan makes a low whir, (like a small laptop fan) it seems to struggle a bit when the projector is pointed upward and makes a sort of hum. The internal speakers are better quality than those of the visspl, surprisingly richer sound in comparison. It runs hot fairly quickly. The metal pieces were too hot to touch.

Bluetooth didn’t work
Too bad, I was looking forward to this. I tried it on my husband’s phone (it doesn’t work with Google phones, in case you missed that in the wall of text like I did), but neither the phone nor the projector detected any signal. Will be returning this item.

A bigscreen TV that won’t fall on you.
While I originally bought my Yoton mini projector so that I would have a big screen TV for my camper that I could project on the biggest open space inside the camper. That space would be the ceiling. I knew that I wouldn’t be able to sleep if I was worried about it falling on me while I slept. The projector eliminates those worries and works better than expected.I tried it out in my spare bedroom at home and found that even in a partially lit room, the brightness and clarity was hard to believe. I found that by backing up the projector ( physically walking it back, not the other kind of backing up) it would expand to fill the entire wall, 126 inches wide, and still maintained its clarity. I am now thinking of taking out the bed and making it a Movie Room. For under a hundred bucks, it is definately a good buy. I now have one for the camper, and one for the Movie Room.

works great right out of the box for IOS products
I’ve tried 3 of this new wave of “mini” projectors and this is the only one that worked right awaywith my iphone or ipads…the other two were also way too “over engineered” with useless features thatjust complicated the utility of it as a simple projector…this is manual focus manual keystone and excellent hi-def picture…a bargain at the $50usd I paid.

Not the best but not the worst
Where do I start? It worked good the first couple of days, then it started glitching. Some apps were compatible then they werenât. Some times it connects to the phone sometimes it doesnât. Very glitchy projector. I donât hate it but I canât say if I could return it I wouldnât. Unfortunately I missed my mark, trying to give it the the benefit of the doubt. Donât be like me though.

This portable video projector boasted a sleek and compact design, making it extremely easy to carry around. Its lightweight construction ensured that it could fit effortlessly into my backpack or travel bag. The device’s small footprint didn’t compromise on performance or features, making it an ideal choice for users constantly on the move. One of the most crucial aspects of any projector is its image quality, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by the clarity and sharpness produced by this portable projector. With a native resolution of 1080p the projected images appeared vibrant and well-defined, even in moderately lit environments. The color reproduction was quite impressive.Considering its compact size, the projector delivered commendable brightness and contrast levels. In dimly lit rooms or during nighttime viewing, the brightness was more than sufficient to enjoy a movie with clarity. However, in daylight conditions or well-lit environments, the image quality understandably diminished.Modern projectors should ideally be compatible with multiple devices, and this portable video projector met those expectations. It featured a range of connectivity options, including HDMI, USB, and wireless screen mirroring, allowing me to effortlessly connect my laptop, smartphone, gaming console. The wireless screen mirroring feature was particularly convenient for spontaneous sharing of media on the go but streaming does require this video projector to be wired.Audio Performance:In-built speakers often come as a standard feature in portable projectors, and while they were passable, they weren’t particularly outstanding. For an immersive experience, I would highly recommend using external speakers or headphones. Nevertheless, having built-in audio does provide basic functionality for quick and casual viewing. Conclusion:Overall, the portable video projector proved to be an excellent companion for entertainment and presentation needs on the go. Its impressive image quality, versatile connectivity options, and user-friendly design make it a standout choice in the portable projector market. While the built-in speakers might not blow you away, this minor drawback is easily compensated by connecting to external audio devices. If you’re a frequent traveler, outdoor enthusiast, or simply enjoy movie nights under the stars, this portable video projector is a reliable investment that will keep you entertained wherever your adventures take you.

Bought for sewing (projecting patterns to cut out). Love how light it is and so easy to mount. The wifi/iOS function isn’t very useful though. It loses connection/freezes regularly. Likely that it has a cheap/low power processor and can’t handle all the incoming data so it hangs. I connected an old GoogleCast to the HDMI port to solve the problem. Works well now.

This thing is small but works very well. Good picture (not the best but very good). Got it for my daughter and she loves it. Sound is good. Pairing was easy. Be aware it will not screen mirror for Netflix/prime video etc. We got a fire stick and itâs great.
