Works great with VMWare 6.0 & 6.7U3
Overall works great with VMWare 6.7U3 on consumer ASUS motherboards. Working great with Dell R710 VMWare 6.0.Did not need to install drivers. Worked out of the box on 4 hosts.

Debian 12 compatible
Worked like a charm with no issues in a Debian 12 AMD based desktop. Easy install, no funky drivers, speeds are good, no connections issues or hiccups.

VIMIN is great brand and these cards are working in older machines.
VIMIN is great brand and these cards are working in older machines. I bought a 4 port 2.5gb switch and these 2 cards. One of my very new computers connected with the existing CAT5e cable at 2.5gb and my download speeds increased from 900mbps to 1.4gbps which is awesome. The other two cards went in my older machines that were only equipped with 1gbps ethernet. After installing the driver and the cards both machines are now maxxing on 1.4gbps downloads. Can’t be more happy with the purchase. Now let’s see how long they last. 🙂
The One who tries out EVERYTHING –
Unfortunately did not work for me
TLDR: It stops receiving or sending packets after an amount of traffic that will no longer work. It may have been a faulty one, but highly recommend staying away. Buyer beware!I tried…really…really hard to get this to work. I was using this for linux. I tried updating the drivers for this thing. I put this back up and back into the motherboard numerous times. I tried it with different OSes. I didn’t have a 10Gbe router yet, but then I bought one. I got 10 GbE cables. I tried everything. It simply did not work.By “did not work”, the card would work for the first few bytes sent or received, then it will drop any packets afterwards. You can never complete a 256 MB file, it stops approximately half way and 0 packets received. The worst part is that the network card shows no signs of issues. No kernel error messages. Nothing wrong with lights on the back.I’ve banged my head trying to fix this and I’m so sad that I had to return this. I’m not sure if it was a faulty device, Intel’s driver, or this device is a scam, but I would recommend staying away from this card or any network card using the ixgbe driver.I’ve found success with another 10GbE adapter that doesn’t use an Intel chip. That’s all I can say without breaking Amazon’s rules. Best of luck to you fellow Amazonians!

Easy to Install, great performance
I recently updated my home network to 2.5 GB/s using CAT 5e and 6. CAT 5e is good to 5GB/s so everything copacetic. I immediately saw download speeds on a older i5 Windows 10 computer to 1.9 GB/s. Astounding performance. Note: First time you boot up, in the boot phase you will see “Press F10 to set PICe device settings” or something close to that. If you don’t go in to the setup and turn the BBS off (boot fromt the network) you may have some delay in loading the OS. Simply go in and reset the ROM boot to off and problem solved. Easy Peasy. Whoa fast!

Works great in unraid
I wanted reliable 2.5 Gbit NIC. The short answer is it’s this card. This is what your actually buying.06:00.0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8125 2.5GbE Controller (rev 05)Note the rev 05. That is exactly what you should be looking for in a RTL8125 NIC.This means that it works in freebsd, linux, apple, and windows. And it is very reliable. If you are using unraid. Stop the array, enable the hardware. Then Settings, Docker, IPv4 custom network on interface br1:, and add your settings.

Great add in NiC.
Great add in NiC. Works flawlessly on both Windows and Linux. Manjaro has the drivers built in, I think they are in the kernel. Windows seems to have them built in as well.

Upgraded to 3gig internet and needed a Network Card since my motherboard only supports speeds up to 2.5gig. At first, it didn’t work BUT once I got the drivers for it I was able to get it working with the right speeds. No issues at all.MAKE SURE YOU UPDATE DRIVERS
