Easy, and works as advertised
I was a bit skeptical for the price, but what the heck! I needed this for two computers in another room. This is a very inexpensive option, but does the trick!I had been using an old router as a switch, with a lethargic speed of 60 mbps (my IP is optical and 500 mbps, up/down currently). Dropped this in place of the old router, and speeds are up to the full bandwidth. For my local network, moving at 1 to 3 gbps is now a reality. I can move files to my media server or from and from my other workstation rapidly.I work a lot with video and audio so the files are huge in raw form. It also allows me to access my second workstation effectively to use it as a rendering drone.Productivity is way up for less than $10.

Easy to Use
My router stopped working due to a power outage, ISP provided a new one only to find out there is only one ethernet port My wife and I both work from home and that was not acceptable. Went to Walmart to find out that Switches were 4 times the price of what we found here. zero complaints does what the more expensive one did, no difference in speed upload or download.

Works as expected
I love that this can provide speeds of up to 2.5gbps. I now have several devices that are 2.5gbps-capable and I needed more than the single 2.5 port on my router. So far, everything I’ve connected to this switch is maxing out my internet plan (~1.4gbps) without adding any ping time.I haven’t noticed any heat coming from the unit, but that could be because I don’t really use it that hard.I do wish the bright read power light would turn off or go away. It’s too bright, and red is too obnoxious of a color. Other than that, I’ve been really happy with this budget 2.5gbps switch.

Inexpensive 1G PoE switch, minimal features but does the job
Like:- PoE! Have not loaded up more than 2 devices yet, but an old PoE access point and PoE camera has been running fine since I hooked it up (about a month.) By specs I should be able to power 2 more camera’s but have not tested that.- Price, $20 for a working 5 port gigabit switch is not bad even without PoE.- The power supply is built into the case, no external brick to get in the way.- Sturdy metal case.Dislike:- It really is a dumb switch with no management / monitoring interface, which is . While this is what was advertised and I expected, it would be nice to have a simple web interface to monitor power usage and power cycle ports for non responding devices.- Going along with lack of a management interface, the VLAN feature is rather limited. It appears to be a hard wired configuration where the uplink port can forward traffic to and from any PoE port, but all the PoE ports are segmented from each other. Instructions that came with the switch also say the speed is reduced in VLAN mode, but I did not check.Unknown:- How reliable is it in the long run? I’ve only had it running about a month, so far no real problems.

Small and powerful
You can tell it is very small when it was place next to DELL Mini Tower. It’s quiet, it runs cool, it has gigabit bandwidth. Great small switch.

Purchased two, both work without issue
Purchased two, both work without issue. Plugged them in, nothing to configure, speed seems to be the same as I would get if measured directly at the cable modem. Still working without issues a few weeks after purchase. This item did what I wanted it to at a good price point.

Device Works – Not as advertised – Minimal Support
The TEROW 30 Port 24×2.5Gbe+6x10Gbe switch does seem to work as needed. However, there are some things that need to be pointed out.1. This item, when I purchased it, features a photo of the switch with the words “Fanless” and “Silent” in it. This switch is a data center switch and is not fanless and is the loudest thing in my rack. It whines and is quite annoying to have in a working environment. As far as I can see, there is no way to control the fans.2. The switch came with rack mount ears and tiny screws that were in a non-sealed bag, so some of the screws were missing.3. The switch comes with basically no documentation. The small pamphlet it comes with tells you the default IP, user, password, and that you can use a console cable. It does not provide the default configuration expectation, the WebUI guide, the CLI guide, any documentation on the types of SFP+ supported, firmware upgrades, etc. It also does not provide a phone number nor a web site for Terow. Google cannot provide a website for Terow either, as far as I can tell.4. To get support for this product you will have to find the magic link on Amazon that allows you to “talk” to Terow. They did respond to my questions, and did send me the guides needed, but it took multiple times of me asking them to respond with the answers I needed.5. This switch does not support passive SFP+.6. When you do receive the manuals, expect them to be extremely bare-bones and poor quality. It looks like they took a competitor’s manual set and scanned them in and did OCR on them and never cleaned up the resulting doc. Tables are jumbled or misaligned, sometimes text is wrong, etc. This does not make the switch a bad switch. Just know what you are getting into and ignore the false advertising of this being fanless and don’t expect a lot of support.
