Perfect for surveillance or IoT devices!
This 6 port PoE, unmanaged switch boasts 4 PoE Ethernet ports to connect your devices and 2 uplink ports to connect to the internet or to a DVR system. This switch comes with a 65 watt power supply built into the device which means less bulk around your power strip and easily mounted to a wall or a fixture. It is passively cooled so you can enjoy a silent setup. Heat dissipation is helped by its outer metal casing but it can nonetheless run very hot, especially if you intend to plug in multiple devices that when combined, draws near its total 65 watt output. You might want to look at router or switch cooler devices if this is applies to you.The network speed is throttled at a mere 10/100 which is like AOL era but it’s plenty enough for surveillance cameras, smart doorbells, and other IoT devices for that matter. Furthermore, this is an unmanaged switch so any VLAN configuration will have to come from another device, preferably a managed switch or a capable router. To close, this is a capable PoE switch and priced at quite an attractive point at around $20 at the time of writing. That said, I would pay due diligence in making sure to plug in devices that when combined, doesn’t draw more than 45 watts for performance and safety reasons. 5 out of 5 stars, it’s a PoE switch that’s well within the budget for many, if not all.

Great performance and built in power supply is a plus
This is an unmanaged switch that has 4 PoE ports for connecting security cameras and other PoE devices. The built in 65-watt power supply is more than enough power to operate my security cams. The ports are only 100 mbit but it’s plenty of bandwidth for my purpose. Overall, the solid construction and simplicity make this a good choice for around the house IoT and other PoE devices.

Stable Switch at a Bargain Price
I ordered this switch to pair with a new security camera system I put in recently. It was pretty straight-forward to install, and once and up it provides stable connectivity with the eight cameras in the system. I’m very pleased with it.

Good Switch that can simplify your hardware needs
Using this switch beats having to use POE injectors and additional switches by combining these functions into a single unit. This switch provides an easy solution to connect your NVR to your Router and Cameras since it has 2 uplinks. It is not lightning fast, but should easily manage several cameras and is quiet since it uses passive cooling instead of a fan. I have not put it under a heavy load so I am not sure how hot it may run if you are trying to push the power supply to the limit. About the only negative for me is that the power cord is only about 36â long.

Powers Ubiquity Cameras
Needed a PoE injector to run a Ubiquity Camera. This worked flawlessly. I haven’t tried plugging a non PoE device into a PoE port to test that functionality.

Decent switch
not gig, but does the job for PoE, dont need gig for cameras

nice switch
works fine for powering some camersa
