Cheap quality
The quality and potential to be broken, not to mention its a âone trick ponyâ that is mostly used for music track/ volume changing. Returned mine

Wow, love my new ArcX smart ring. I’m a regular runner and use ArxX to skip songs and adjust the volume of my music during runs, my air pods don’t have a volume control and I always found this frustrating.ArcX is really light and comfortable and I like the way it’s designed to be worn over gloves, this will be great come winter time.I often go running alone and as a solo female the SOS function gives me peace of mind. The SMS text can be customised, I use it when I reach my half way point of my run. With a 5 second press of the joystick I can instantly let my family know where I am without having to stop and get my phone out, plus they can track my progress in the Google maps link that gets automatically sent with every SMS.I can highly recommend.

I found this to be an excellent device for controlling the music on my iPhone without having to pick up the phone every time. With the smart ring, you can play, pause, choose next or last track and turn volume up or down, while your iPhone stays in your pocket.I am quite excited at what this will be able to do in time when the app evolves to make more apps and devices controllable. My only gripes were that when setting up, the app detected my Apple Watch every time instead of the smart ring, I had to turn the watch off in order to set the ring up. Also when changing from using it on my iPhone to my iPad, I had to delete the ring from my Bluetooth devices on the phone before it would pair with the tablet, and vice versa. The future is bright for the ArcX ðð»

I like this. It is very clever …Basically, you get a small clicker with a joystick, five silicon rings, a bike strap, a watch strap attachment, a charger, and of course a charging lead. All of this packs up nicely in a little black box.Out of the box, you need to find the ring that fits, install the clicker, power up, pair to your phone and use the ArcX app, on your iPhone or your Android, to set this little magic ring up.If you have a smart watch, you will likely already be able to use it to change music. Sometimes your watch face gets a little sweaty though, and controlling your music, especially the volume, isn’t so easy. This device however sits on your finger or slides over your watch strap, so you can easily flick through tracks, pause, play, and change volume. The real magic with this however, is when you use it with apps and programs such as PowerPoint, or anything else for that matter. Using the app, you can program settings into the ArcX. Once saved, they are there. You can disconnect from the phone and still be able to use the functions on your device. I installed the app on my phone, set up a new mode for the Prezi online presentation software, set up the functions, and saved it. When I connect to my laptop by Bluetooth, I open up Prezi and it just works. This is so simple and has so many possibilities. You could actually use it as a joystick to play games on, an alarm button, the obvious music, browsing or scrolling, and of course presentations. Endless possibilities. I love it and think that even though it is priced a little high, it’s actually capable of so much more than you first realise.A definite five star recommendation.

The ArcX multi function Bluetooth remote control is provided with a range of accessories to support the use cases that ArcX envisage that you may want to use it for. Everything is supplied in a handy hard shell zipped case. The ArcX remote itself is very small and seems to be very well made, using the control stick feels positive and easy to use despite the small form factor. The accessories are all also well made and include a series of finger rings, bar mounts/ straps and charging cable with clip.Charging using the clip is easy with the sprung jaws holding onto the remote and ensuring charging pins are aligned. I would have liked to see a wireless charging implementation but given the small form factor I understand how contact pins make sense. The supplied instructions donât actually provide instructions beyond direction to the ArcX website where you can find useful videos in use of the device and links to the ArcX app. The website instructions are useful though I have missed a few key points, such as I still donât know how to turn the device off or even if you can turn it off.In use the ArcX remote is intuitive and reliable, the default functions likely to be enough for most users, though you can remap the functions via the app if you prefer. Audio and call functions that can be accessed via remote can also be available via earbud/ headphone controls, however having access to them without having to move your hands is where this device shines. My primary use case is having the remote attached to the handlebars of my mountain bike and itâs been doing a great job.All in all, the ArcX multi function Bluetooth remote control is a niche device and as such the demands a premium. If you have a defined use case for hand mounted remote then you wonât be disappointed.

This is a really basic device and yet it is actually really useful and surprisingly so, if you do any type of sports then you’ll know that having your phone to hand is a ridiculous thing to do and you tend to stop every single time reach for your phone and go through it in order to change a song or whatever else you need to do however having this ring on you whilst you’re working out means that you can just with the flick of a joystick move across to the next song you can also set pre-sets so that the device does things that you wanted to exactly and it even comes with a bunch of different silicon covers which allow you to wear it on different sized fingers depending on what suits you best.I wouldn’t say it’s the most convenient of rings as it’s rather bulky but in comparison to have a mobile phone to hand all the time and it’s quite a good device.
