Works great with my HP x360 Spectre Laptop
This is a really useful adapter which works well with my HP x360 Spectre Laptop. I am a firm believer that wired ethernet is always superior to Wi-Fi so any time I am using my laptop at home, I disable the Wi-Fi and plug in a USB ethernet adapter. Since I always need to power my laptop anyway, I used to have two USB-C wires connected to it. Now all I need to do is plug one wire into the laptop to get power and wired ethernet. I plug the HP power cord (USB-C PD) into this adapter and the laptop accepts the power without any complaints. I just needed an ethernet port, not a larger full-blown hub with tons of ports so this was perfect. Very satisfied.

Ethernet with USB-C power port
Very unique item and highly recommend it. Ethernet works as expected. For MacBook, iPad, and even iPhone that you want to get a wired connection it’s great to have the USB-C power port on this so your device can stay charged while the Ethernet uses up battery power. Surprised more products don’t come this way.

Convenient and Reliable Ethernet Adapter
I recently got this USB-C to Ethernet adapter, and it has proven to be an excellent addition to my tech setup. The adapter is incredibly versatile, working seamlessly with a range of devices including my MacBook Pro, iPhone 15, and even my Nintendo Switch. The plug-and-play functionality is a huge plus, as it requires no drivers for installation and worked immediately with my devices. One of the standout features is the 100W power delivery, allowing me to charge my device while using the adapter without sacrificing charging speed. This is particularly handy during long work sessions where I need a reliable internet connection and continuous power. The charging port works efficiently, though it’s essential to ensure your device supports the necessary protocols to achieve maximum charging speed. The build quality is impressive, with a braided nylon cable that adds durability and an aluminum casing that helps with heat dissipation. This makes the adapter not only robust but also stylish. The connection speeds are stable, offering up to 1 Gbps, which has significantly improved my internet experience, especially for large downloads and streaming.Compatibility is another strong suit of this adapter. It works well with various operating systems including Windows, macOS, Chrome OS, and Android, making it a versatile choice for different devices. Whether it’s for laptops, tablets, or smartphones, this adapter covers it all.In conclusion, the BENFEI USB-C to Ethernet adapter is a reliable, high-quality accessory that enhances connectivity without compromising on power delivery. Its ease of use, sturdy construction, and broad compatibility make it a valuable investment for anyone needing a stable internet connection and efficient charging on the go.

Not as straightforward as it should be
Revised ReviewAfter reading other reviews, I decided to try again with this adapter. I changed the score from 2 stars to 4, based on my new tests. The final star that did not come back is because adapters should be plug-and-play and I shouldn’t have to read reviews to try and figure out why it isn’t working. Some of the reviews stated that they had to wait for 20 seconds or so for the status to change on the phone. Others said you may have to turn the USB-C plug the other way for it to work. So, I tested it on my computer first. This time, I plugged my power cable into the adapter first, watched what direction I put the USB C into the computer (which was with the name side down on the big part of the adapter), and then plugged in the Ethernet cable. Within a short while, my battery showed that it was charging and the Ethernet came back on (had been on before I unplugged my docking station to do the test).I then decided to be brave (or maybe stupid), and I tried the phone, but this time, with the same side down, I plugged the USB-C into the phone, then the power cord I typically use for charging, then the Ethernet. After a very short wait, I received a fast-charging notification. The same power plug and cable give me super-fast charging without the adapter. Additionally, after a longer wait, a notification for Ethernet setup popped up and I was able to turn off my WiFi and data and use the Ethernet connection. The speed seemed slower than my Ethernet connections on my computers, but I don’t know how to run a speed test on Android, so I can’t say for sure.Original ReviewThe Ethernet port works on my computer, but not my phone. The problem may be with my Samsung S23+ according to some articles I read, but I’m not sure.I tried the power-in port with 3 devices and it didn’t work with any of them. To make things even worse, but phone stopped charging with any cable until I rebooted it. This scared me enough that I didn’t run any more tests.I’ll still use the Ethernet feature on my laptop, but I won’t try it on phones or tablets anymore.

Perfect ethernet adapted
I’ve been looking for a simple adapter that gives me the ability to connect to ethernet and also charge my MacBook and this is exactly what I needed, nothing more than that. Reliable connection and charging; definitely a must-buy.

Very nice ethernet adapter
Quality built ethernet adapter. I only have one USB-C port on my laptop, so it’s nice to still be able to charge it as well with this plugged in. Adapter is exactly as described and performs as expected.

works fine in a production environment
i’ve been using this to do internet recovery on apple products and so far after a couple weeks it has held up just fine. i don’t expect this to last forever, but i’ve had other ones that have completely failed and almost started a fire.this one is not that

Very handy
It is a little known secret that a phone can use wired internet. You get a very fast connection, and also top security. It is unbelievable how fast the phone runs with this. In addition, you get a PD port where it can charge the phone. Usually network adapters do not have this. Works fine as a PC adapter too/

I used this with laptop at home, as an alternative to Wi-Fi where I have a blind spot. It works well. I am also quite happy that it is a power delivery port, which means that I can use the same USB C port that I would use for power. This is especially important for me on my MacBook Air, because there are only a few available ports… Overall, happy with the purchase.
