BUILT SOLID, RELIABLE (After 6+ months of use), EASY to USE
I have been using this switch for over 6 months without any problem. I diente want to review it quickly to experience reliability and performance. Both very goodIt’s built solid and information transfer is very fast. I replaced a Netgear Prosafe 8 because of the number of ports, and i do not see the difference, It may actually faster as it is 2G
LOVE THISâ£â£â£ –
Solid
In today’s world everyone needs a switch. This is a small switch but effective. This is a gigabit switch with Vlan capability. It is perfect for a small office or home. The device is solid and durable. It comes in at a great price. I am pleased.

Does like a good switch should
Much like a lot of things in the universe if you need one you should always get two. Networking switch seem to fall into that category for me as I add new tech to the house. If I have one unmanaged switch I should’ve gotten two. If it has five ports, I needed ten ports. Hopefully this ten port Binardat switch in addition to my other networking items will help out. There wasn’t much to this switch when it arrived. The box came with the metal bodied ten port Unmanaged Switch, an A/C power plug, and a brief instruction manual. All that a switch needs I suppose. The manual is brief and unhelpful especially for the mystery toggle switch beside the UpLink ports. A control for “Default” and “VLAN”. I know what both those words are but the “VLAN” option had me curious. The manual wasn’t at all helpful about this. Typically a VLAN setting is in a Router or a Managed Switch and requires a bit of know how. Fortunately Binardat does talk about it online. This Unmanaged Switch is acting a bit like a semi-Smart Switch with that option turned on. Each of the eight non-UpLink ports get isolated from cross talk with each other. No programming or real settings to change involved. That’s a pretty nice feature to have. Plus with dual UpLink ports for better port speeds and consistent data input output, a couple or more of these switches could make a very handy VLAN setups.Unfortunately, I am not yet very good or totally knowledgeable with VLANs but maybe this will be the thing that pushes me into learning even more about them. With so many thing in a house talking to various companies on-line (the Internet of Things), VLANs are becoming more important. For now in the default setting it acts like a proper Unmanaged Switch and does get the advertised gig speeds on the ports when speed tested. So as speedy switches go, it gets a 5 stars rating from me.

A standard ethernet switch that just works.
Not a whole lot to say about this. An ethernet switch usually just works or it doesn’t. I used this to break out my downstairs outlets and so far has been working just fine without errors or drop outs.

Simple, reliable network switch
This switch was easy to install and works exactly as expected. It provides a solid boost to my network speeds. The metal case feels durable and it runs silently. Great for a no-fuss network expansion.

Extra two uplink ports.
I got this to replace an old 5-port, cheapy gigabit switch. The casing is metal and seems to be well built. Throughput is within a consistent range with documented gigabit speeds. It is an unmanaged switch with 8 gigabit ports and 2 gigabit uplink ports for a total of 10 ports.Pros10 ports…I’m just happy I have the full 8 ports to use. :-)It has some sort of VLAN support for each port via a physical switch.ConsNone so far.Over all, it works for me. I don’t have a complicated setup so I use it as a normal switch to extend my network to another computer and associated devices with the VLAN switch on.

ethernet switch failed after 60 days
Disliked this ethernet switch. Unit failed after 60 days. It seems to be a waste of money.
