Works as Advertised
I don’t write many reviews but I wanted to share about this device. This worked perfectly! Connected our HP LaserJet to our WiFi network. I used the WPS setup and it connected easily. The only thing I had to do was set the printer to a static IP address as we connect it to our laptops via “network” connected printer. When it was DHCP we lost connection when the printer restarted. This worked for a Windows laptop and a Mac. I highly recommend this device for sure.

Economic way to get ethernet only printer onto wifi
Bought this to get a Toshiba eStudio multifunction printer/scanner that didn’t have built in wifi onto a home wifi network when we closed the office and went to work from home mode. Fairly straightforward setup for the moderately tech savvy, great performance, and would’ve been 100’s of $$ (plus wait time) to get a Toshiba built-in wifi adapter installed.

i used to get 1-4mbps in my treehouse over wifi, but when i put the device right outside the treehouse and connected my computer to ethernet, it got 40mbps! the wireless access point feature doesn’t work well, only the ethernet does

Simple to install/connect to my wireless Xfinity router and then just plug my wired printer into it!
After plugging the BrosTrend N300 into a wall jack close to my router AND my Canon MF236n Laser printer. I just used the WPS button and my Xfinity wireless router and then on the BrosTrend N300 and they linked up after about 90 seconds or so. From that point I connected wirelessly to my “wired” printer with 2 Windows 10 computers, a Dell Windows 11 Laptop, my Android smartphone, and finally with the help of a Android app “Canon Print Service” I was able to connect with my Lenovo Android tablet. No Problems, no issues of any kind! Best $35.00 I have spent in a long time and it made a very good printer that had been hobbled by being a wired ethernet printer to wifi network. Now I can move that printer anywhere in my apartment and NO WIRES!!! I do not know what more I can ask of this powerful and compact wifi extender and wireless to wired ethernet adapter. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Had hopes but doesn’t like pass phrases
Device is being returned.Setup is straightforward until you get to the part where you enter the password/pass phrase of your wifi network. After entering the SSID, I tried to enter the passphrase (NOT password!) for my network. This device gives back an error that says only certain “special” characters are permitted. a space is not one of those allowed “special” characters. This restriction placed on the composition of the password/passphrase by this device renders it useless on my network.Developers of devices like this should permit the use of passphrases which have much higher entropy than passwords and are much more difficult to defeat.

Better than expected
Didn’t have high hopes but it has amazing speed and very reliable. It was tricky to install in fact I thought it didn’t work and was going to buy another unit. I didn’t give up and poked around and found that it had somehow turned on a proxy server. Once I turned that off it worked like a charm.

It’s ok.
It does the job but I still have times when I lose connection.

Works, but difficult to configure with T-Mobile 5G internet router, Arcadyan KVD21
Although it was a total pain in the a$$ to get working, I was able to finally get the device configured as a WiFi to Ethernet Adapter. It required a couple communications with tech support. Their response time was ~24 hrs for each communication, but their recommendation is what ultimately helped get it configured.Note, in our case, we’re using the T-Mobile 5G internet router, Arcadyan KVD21. This router supports both 5GHz and 2.4GHz WiFi. By default, it uses both frequencies on the same network/SSID. However, when the BrosTrend N300 adapter tries to connect to the the router when it is configured for both 5GHz and 2.4GHz, the BrosTrend N300 adapter configuration fails… even though the web interface says the configuration was successful…Grr. We could tell the configuration failed because the SSID of the BrosTrend N300 adapter did not get renamed. It is supposed to be named the same as your existing SSID, but with _EXT appended onto the end.In order to get the N300 adapter to connect, we had to split the the WiFi of our router into two separate networks, one being only for 5GHz and the other only for 2.4GHz. In our case, since most of our devices are using 5GHz, we changed the existing SSID to be only for 5GHz in order to minimize the number of devices we had to reconfigure. Then, we made another network (named it the same as the original SSID, but appended -24 onto the end) and set it up to be only 2.4GHz. Once that was done, we reset the BrosTrend N300 adapter and configured it to connect to the new SSID. The configuration was successful and the adapter worked successfully as a WiFi to Ethernet adapter.

I’m using this as a WiFi bridge to an Ethernet camera 150 feet away It works great and was very easy to configure.

Signal seems a bit weak. Using it on the smart tv because wireless was not working on it anymore. TV seems a bit less responsive, but I have no way of measuring that. Worked to replace the damaged wireless on the TV without running 50 feet of cable.

Beware if YOUR network password contains symbols that are not permitted on their web site you will not be able to connect it. My password contains a sign which is not permitted on their mywifiassist website. So if I want to connect it, I am forced to change my network password according to THEIR requirements and then spend half a day reconnecting ALL my devices with a new password. So stupid. Definitely returning it.
