Works great!
I ran ethernet cable to my new shop and was needing something to also have a wifi connection. This was exactly what I was looking for. I use it as an access point. Very easy setup and works great.

Highly recommended!
Finally, a product that I can recommend: *It comes with a printed, simple, readable “Installation Guide!” *The manual is written in actual English, not poorly translated! (Also in German, Italian, French, and Spanish). *The lights on the product are clearly labeled! *It even comes with a Cat5 cable. *Setup is straightforward. It’s important to follow the instructions exactly as written, and not to skip any steps. I am using this as an additional AP (an internet Access Point) for my home wi-fi network. I’m using the same SSID (network name) and password as on my main AP. It works great! Now I have coverage where I was missing wi-fi coverage beforel. In my case I had Internet wiring nearby, so I was able to connect my Internet signal directly to the device’s Cat5 jack. If you use it as an Extender you might have to set up a different SSID.

Absolute junk
Does not work. No support phone number. I have a technical background and could not get it running. Web page for the initial setup crashed multiple times. Password rejected after just establishing once the page did refresh. Written instructions in the box were almost non-existent and worthless. Wasted an hour on setup to no avail. Not sure who is writing these positive reviews but this device reminds of something a college kid put together on a breadboard. Replaced with a slightly more expensive alternative and it works great. You get what you pay for.

they are a good company.
Had issue with first one I ordered. Hey it is technology. I contacted their tech support and they responded very promptly. We worked to get the product set up as an access point. Settings would not hold. After a couple of traded emails not getting it going, I got an email saying a replacement was on its way. A couple day later, I received the new one, got it going and have not had any issues since. Very good tech response.

Buffering has stopped!!!
We are using this as a “repeater” or signal extender, and after 1 week, the buffering and pausing of our streaming services for TV have all but stopped & reduced tremendously!!!! We moved some of our equipment off of the wireless router and dedicated them to this unit…everyone is happy.Setup was pretty easy.Could probably use this at a hotel on vacation or business trip! Will probably get a couple more for our house, and our kids houses.I wish it were weatherproof to put one out on the deck!!!

Versatile, Extremely simple setup
Can function in three modes:-Wifi access point (ethernet ==> wifi) my use case-Wifi extender (wifi ==> wifi-new) creates a new SSID – like ALL wifi extenders)-Wifi to ethernet adapter (wifi ==> ethernet)Setup can not be simpler. Just select mode and type in SSID(s) and pw.Strong 2.4G, 5G signals to cover the entire floor.Small enough to leave room for the second outlet.

Works Great just as I had hoped!
Bought this device to extend my Tmoble Home internet to my out building. Lucky enough for me the previous owner had a conduit from the building to the basement of my house. Simply pulled cable approximately 90â. I choose âset it up as an access pointâ and works as well as I was if I was sitting in my living room. Well worth the money but I spent the extra to buy new.

Lasted 12 hrs
Initially setup was easy and access point worked well. 12 hrs later and the wi-fi signal would stop ever minute for a few seconds. It did this on multiple devices at same time. It is past return time so Iâll eat the cost.

This is giving me great speeds on my top floor when my router is in the basement. I am using it as an access point have have not had problems so far.
Treetrunk422 –
Did exactly what we needed it to, it’s easy to setup and now we have great wifi in the far corner of the house. Works great with our smart phones and gaming devices. I wish I could have found out about these sooner it saves so many headaches

After 2 months, it stopped working for no reason. Resetting the device doesn’t work, the device doesn’t seem to power up anymore.

This is a great Wi-Fi extender. The Quick installation Guide for this AC1200 is very well-written and guides you through the various set-up options. Method 1 is via a web browser. Method 2 is via the WPS button on your router/modem. You can also set it up via a wireless access point mode. I chose the set-up via the WPS button and it was so simple. You just plug in the adapter in the same room as your router. You then press the WPS button on your Wi-Fi router. You are even provided with the various icons to identify this button. You then press and hold the WPS button on your adapter for 1 second or so and then the Signal LED will start to blink blue. Once it is solid blue, you have a successful connection. You will then see the connection in your network under your existing network name with the suffix “_EXT”. The password, by default, is the same as your existing network. The extender comes with an ethernet cable. For my purposes, I needed some additional signal strength for my outdoor security camera. My internet provider supplied me with a “Boost Wi-Fi” device but the device was not strong enough to give me better than a “medium” strength for my outdoor camera. Once the extender was set up, I moved it to the garage where my “Boost” device is installed and I connected the ethernet cable from the extender to the “Boost” device and my camera immediately went to a “strong” signal. This is only one application specific to me and your situation may call for a different type of set-up but don’t worry, the installation guide will explain it all and this device is very versatile for different set-ups. There is a two year warranty and a 24/7 technical support e-mail. There are only three lights on this unit. There is is the signal LED, the Ethernet LED and Internet LED. You will see in one of my photos that all three lights are blue (one is actually flashing). The installation guide also has a chart for quick reference to what the lights mean and what they mean if there are different colours or blinking lights which makes any necessary troubleshooting very easy. The only reason that I deducted a star for this product is because my Ethernet LED is blinking or more of a flashing blue and there is no explanation for a blinking or flashing blue on the Ethernet LED which leads me to believe that the light just may not be operating as it should be. I would highly recommend this product if you need to extend your Wi-Fi.

The package includes the network extender, an Ethernet cable and an instruction sheet. Full operating instructions are in English. Less detailed versions are in French, German, Italian and Spanish. A link is provided for a demonstration of the setup process. This device can be used as a WiFi extender (wireless signal in to wireless signal out, or wireless signal in to wired signal out), or as a wireless access point (wired signal in to wireless signal out). I only tried it as an extender (wireless signal in to wireless signal out). The device is white with 2 foldable antennas that look a lot like arms. Three LED indicators on the front tell you what the device is doing. Thereâs a push button switch on the side to reset it if the need arises.Set up is very easy and the embedded web serverâs pages lead you through what you must do to get it working. It even shows you a graphical representation of your network! During the set up it forces you to change your password from the default. I like this very much.It has very limited functionality beyond an extender. It does have some tools to block selected users by MAC address. This isnât something I would use but I was pleasantly surprised to see it.However, there were things I was unpleasantly surprised not to see. You cannot tell the software version that this unit is running, nor can you update the software. There is simply no provision to do that. This means that if a vulnerability were discovered that needed to be fixed, then âtoo bad so sadâ it canât ever be fixed. Settings for intermediate to advanced cannot be changed; they are the way they are. Also, the webpages from the embedded server are insecure. It is less expensive ($60 minus a $10 coupon at this time) than other better units which is a reason to consider it. However, its inability to be upgraded EVER and its use of insecure communication should make you think twice about this one and consider something for a few dollars more.
