High End Buyer –
Highly recommended, completely satisfied as a professional installer
I own a low voltage and structured cabling company so we have use just about every type of Jack for Cat6 cabling. We install at least 20,000 cables per year, so the decision to use a certain kind of jack is not one that we take lightly. We analyze the pros and cons of every product we use for our installations. I noticed this product on Amazon, and because I have worked with other cable matters jacks for years, I decided to order a hundred pieces. If you’ve worked with high-density jacks in the past, you know that the kind of jacks that terminate on the back side opposite the port can be a real headache to terminate correctly. The top down termination style of this high-density jack is a huge time saver. These jacks are very easy to terminate and the style of punch down is a definite time saver that makes it easy to lying the cables up straight out of the back of the jack for a neat patch panel. I also really appreciate the way that the colors of the wires are laid down on the jack. Having all of the white striped colors toward the the back of the jack minimizes punchdown errors when compared to other jacks where the colors are scrambled on the jack. The wire pairs punch down next to each other as well. We are easily getting gigabit-speed off of all of our terminations from the jacks. These jacks have a flat bottom and are very steady when you put them on a flat surface while punching the wires down. So I decided to standardize on these jacks along with the termination tools, and I stock all of our trucks with them. Also you cannot beat the price for a high-density Cat6 jack. I wish they offered the same design in cat5e.I also purchased the termination tool which works well and is a huge time saver. The only problem I have found with the tool is that the termination housing has plastic loops at a hinge point and they tend to break some times. But even if broken you can still use them to terminate. One warning I have regarding using the combination of the termination tool and jack is that sometimes a wire or two will get pulled up from the jack when you remove it from the termination tool. So carry a pinch down with the tool. However, this is a persistent problem with most of the terminations tools I have used from other manufacturers.

Very satisfied. Have yet to have a bad one.
Iâve used these on multiple installations that Iâve done. Sometimes, there have been a few that will fall out of a keystone faceplate, but I have found the clip can get depressed or is not out far enough to âclickâ in. But, overall, I have been very satisfied. Using a good punch down tool (get a Fluke 110 punch), the included punch down stand, and good quality keystone faceplates and patch panels, I have been able to get some installs done mighty quickly. These work great especially with Leviton series face plates and patch panels. They fit perfectly.Iâve installed and maintained all the major brands – Amp NetConnect, Commscope/Avaya/Lucent, Panduit, Leviton, Siemon, Ortronics, Hubbell – and I would say that these are among my favorite. These have always tested well, and I never have gotten a bad batch yet. I will keep using these in the future.

Well Made, Easy to use, small enough for the decora plates
I had purchased some keystone jacks from the big orange box store. And while they were ok. The punch downs didnt seem to hold up. These on the other hand hold very well. They are smaller than the ones I had used. But not to the point of not being able to use them. Which means they also will fit into the decora wall plates. I have a 4 port one with 2 on top of each other. And they fit perfectly without touching. The colors are marked very well. Nice “snap” sound when putting them into the wall plate or the patch panel. As well as when inserting the cable itself. Maybe Im weird. But I like to hear that definitive snap. For the price. You cant go wrong. If your about plastic use though. Be aware these are individually bagged. But come in a cardboard box.

pro level… affordable and high quality…
as a pro i can’t rave enough about these keystones and this compression tool… amazon is my primary minors supplier, so i’ve been in search of an affordable keystone with a quality compression tool combo for a while… well this definitely solved that problem… now i don’t have to figure out which high cost fluke jackrapid to use on a repair or and don’t have to single punch the many cheap keystones ive been buying on amazon… this tool has allowed me to make this my primary keystone brand on my truck. the tool makes it a quick swap on a trouble or install on an install… the quality is pro level; or as good as fluke in terms of tool; and as good as the top keystone lines like belkin, leviton, legrand, or panduit… only down side is doesn’t always fit into some wall plates, but any pro worth there salt knows how to make this work…

Never Again (Update to my review See below)
I really like Cable Matters products, I buy their cables, the cat6 I ran in the house is by Cable Matters. With that out of the way run, don’t walk, from these Keystones. I went through 2/3 of the order I bought to get 10 of of them to work. Was the most frustrating experience terminating cables ever. Is it the slim design? Are some bad? Don’t know but very unhappy.Update – Cable Matters reached out to me. I explained in detail the situation with the keystones. They apologized for my troubles and refunded me the cost of the keystones. It wasn’t necessary, I know they’re a good company, I have used their products for years. They weren’t going to lose me as a customer, and I told them this before they offered the refund. So shout out to them for good customer service. I am changing my rating not because the keystones are good product. I think there are problems related to the slim design. Cable Matters, however, believes the keystones work fine but could have been a bad batch. I can accept that explanation but for myself I wouldn’t buy them again. But I will happily buy other Cable Matters products.

yes it works as advertised
do keep in mind that these are small so wiring them is a bit of a challenge. but they fit very nicely in my rack and that’s why I got them.
