Great value – fantastic ends, not too tight to slip wires into
Fantastic RJ45 Ends. I really enjoy these ones, and they are designed well. I’ve done a LOT of ethernet cable crimping. I use all kinds of wire, but my typical go-to is really just full copper Southwire Riser Cat6 cables (in-wall certified, essentially for production homes). So anyway, I’ve done it multiple ways in the past, where I separate my wires and slide them through a sled, clip the end of the sled, then pop the sled into an RJ45 end and it clicks in. I used to rely on that, but I guess once you get used to cutting the wires that just feels like an extra step now. But, I will say, some RJ45 ends just feel “tighter” and harder to line-up the cables right, like they are so tight that unless you are absolutely flawless, you are going to get one of the wires to bend and snag and even though it looks like they all went in, one of them didn’t and you end up with a failed connection.Well, not these. These went in so smooth. These are, so far, the easiest single end connectors I’ve used sliding the wires into right before crimping it. I am a believer now in this brand. Honestly, I just enjoy making ethernet cables. I watch netflix and while my wife crochets, I’m crimping 10ft ethernet cables. I think I found my new go-to brand. I used to buy the Klein or Ideal brands from like Home Depot, as they are good as well, but I would spend 40 bucks on a 100 pack. I bought this because of the good price and I just wanted to see for myself, and holy crap, I feel like an idiot paying this price for so long when a great product like this exists at such a better price. Ideal was and still is a fantastic brand, but we are talking 1/3 the price here.Do yourself a favor, buy a small 50 pack or so at first, see if you like em. If you do, get the 100 pack. Once I burn through this 50 in no time I am definitely dropping for a 100 pack.I have not personally had the issue with them not “clicking” properly, as I have seen other reviewers state. We’ll see… I have also used about 30 ends so far and have had only 1 failure on my tester., which honestly was probably my fault.

Basic, modular connectors.
These are your standard, modular RJ45 connectors. I put them on the terminal ends of Cat 6 cable. They fit. They crimped. They work. Data is passed back and forth at appropriate speeds. Bulk price is very fair.5/5 Outside of the intended purpose, these are possibly best used to up your geek cred.

Good Budget Connector; Quick Install
I purchased the version without the sled. I’m coming from connectors that had the sled. Here are my thoughts: – Having a sled helps to avoid bad crimps – Not dealing with a sled is much less fiddly – The cable must be prepped properly to minimize errors – After ordering each wire, press down with finger or object and slide toward jacket to fix each wires into position. After a few passes, the wires should stay in order without holding – Trim so 1.3cm of wire exposed. Make extra certain the cut is level with these connectors – While crimping, push the cable into the connector. I’ve found that with my cable, the individual cables can recede upon crimpingNote that I’m using insulated cat 6, which I think is easier with these connectors, as it doesn’t have the plastic core. The key is being able to reliably order the cables while keeping the length to ~1.3cm without mangling the jacket, else the crimp won’t hold well.Would recommend if you can streamline your process and avoid bad crimps. Would buy again to avoid fiddling with sleds.EDIT: Used these with some chonkier cat-6 that has a plastic core. Tips: – Pull each wire pair away from others to free up space around plastic core – Pull plastic core so that it stretches and snip at base of cable jacket; It should recede to be a few mm below the jacket so that it doesn’t get in the way when ordering the wires – Now, order the wires, pushing down between a surface and your finger, applying and sliding pressure back toward the jacket to fix wires in place – Trim, insert, crimpIt wound up being easier than the insulated cat6, so long as you get that dang plastic race out of the way.

Perfect for my Cat6 cables
In conjunction with a good crimper, these connectors are perfect for my Cat6 Ethernet cables. These connectors have âoffsetâ wire insertion, so you insert the wires in a straight line, then they automatically offset slightly up or down in an alternating pattern. This makes checking the order of the wires pretty easy.
