Meets all expectations
Easy wireless setup/install (even for an 80-year-old, non-techie like me), color is vibrant, print quality is excellent. So far, no issues! I would recommend it to anyone.

Great printer, rediculous ink cost
The printer is great, after all, it is a Canon. I purchased it because my other Canon large format printer finally died after many years. What does not make sense is, being a large format printer, it uses a lot of ink to print a 11 X 17 print. You won’t believe this, it has tiny little ink cartridges. And! They ain’t cheap! I would call that “Poor Engineering”, but “Great marking ploy”!Canon, what were you thinking? I know, you sell the printers cheap and make your profit on the ink. But, this is ridiculous! If you want to keep customers, you must lower the cost of the ink cartridges. I will think twice before I get another one from you.

Love it
I needed a printer that had a rear tray feed so I could use legal paper and also blank Quicken checks. This one is great, good photo color, easy to use. I had bought an HP with refillable inks that dried up while I was out of town for the winter. So I just decided to buy the same Canon I had in my winter home. It was a good decision.

Nothing But Problems!
There is nothing I like about this printer. Nothing. And for the price, I expected way more.Iâve had it for 2 days now, and have had nothing but problem after problem. For example:1. There are black streaks on the back of every single page I print now. Started after paper jammed.2. Went through 2 cleaning cycles to try to correct the issue, which used up HALF of my very expensive ink! I didnât even do the deep clean, which warns you it will use a lot of ink.3. Ink goes FAST. Iâve literally printed less than 20 pages total since I got the printer, and cleaned it twice, and the ink it came with (at least the Cyan and Magenta) are over half gone!4. Anything other than standard printer paper jams like crazy in the lower paper cartridge. If you use slightly thicker paper, you MUST use the back paper tray, which sticks out quite a bit in the back, which means you have to keep the printer far away from the wall and drastically reduces precious desk space.5. There are lines across everything in the top 2 inches of anything I print. This is after using their automatic print head alignment feature and cleaning twice. I canât use this printer for my business with lines across everything.6. Found out I cannot use off-brand ink cartridges, and I have to use Canonâs RIDICULOUSLY expensive ink. Nope. Not going to happen, Canon. Go ahead and be greedy. Iâll never buy another product from you as long as I live. Iâll just go back to Brother printers or try HP or Epson. Much less hassle!Keep in mind that Iâve only had this printer a couple of days and itâs already screwing up big time in many ways. I am definitely returning this printer!

Should’ve stuck with Epson
Prints OK. Very small paper tray (input).LCD panel is annoyingly bright – haven’t found any ways to turn it down.CD printing: tray is a bit awkward but not terrible (my old Epson had a tray built-in, that ejected/retracted with a button push).App for printing CD (Easy-PhotoPrint Editor) is, at best, mediocre. No gridlines or rulers, and when I insert an image, it crops and won’t resize correctly (though it’s fine if I drag/drop an image from Windowsexplorer).Scanner document feeder is very finicky, jams easily and/or mangles the document.UI Scan Utility: a bit awkward – have to remember to change settings before selecting scan type, and can’t set/change file name (as far as I’ve seen).Wish I’d spent a few more dollars for another Epson.

Donât waste your time.
I purchased this printer about a year ago, and ever since Iâve had issues with it, you might as well spend more money and buy a better printer or just buy a different brand altogether. The printer is nice for basic things, but when it comes to anything besides computer paper expect to wait 5 to 10 minutes for a single sheet to print out, I purchased this printer to make prints of my artwork, when I scan them it takes up to two minutes, after that like I said it can take anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes for the machine itself to read your work and then print it. I canât even begin to tell you how many error codes, all the little things that this printer will do to stop itself from printing, I have lived in three separate places with this printer and it still canât work with the Wi-Fi more than half the time. Majority of the time it will stop printing halfway through and spit you out an error code or tell you that it canât connect to Wi-Fi, and good luck using your phone with this it doesnât wanna link up only when it wants to. The printer prints out mediocre Prints, it may take 20 minutes but the majority of the color that you want to be there wonât be there I shouldâve bought the Epson printer. Overall when I spent $500 on this piece of junk a year ago, I did not know what I was getting myself into, canon itself canât provide an accurate description so I had to get on QVC and watch two middle-age women present it to me. Donât waste your time with this printer. Unless you enjoy waiting an hour or two to print five pages, not to mention the feed slot on the back only excepts one piece of paper, have fun.
