Quick Release Safety Tether
Backup safety tether, or as some call it, the “oh crap strap!” Provides an extra level of security when using the harness. Allowing you to be certain your camera is always safe.

Cotton Carrier original, flat, virtually indestructible, friction-free, hard-anodized aluminum hub. Secured with a slotted hole to allow for slight adjustment to avoid blocking the battery door. A threaded hole on the hub allows you to still use your tripod with our system.

Excellent product
This harness is well designed and well manufactured. I used it on a recent multi-day hiking trip and it completely met my expectations. What a pleasure to slip my camera easily off and on instead of having to dig into my day pack or carry it slung over my neck. A huge improvement to my experience as an outdoor photographer. I ordered the harness from a reseller who omitted two accessories from the shipment. I contacted the manufacturer who responded immediately with no question. So you might want to consider ordering directly from the manufacturer

exactly as described
Fits well as so far it holds both cameras comfortably. Happy with this purchase.

works great, makes carrying large lenses and camera easy
The harness is well thought out and made of high quality materials. I would highly recommend this product. I carry long telephoto lenses over rough terrain and long periods of time. It sure is much easier with this harness

Generally good
This does what’s expected and does it well. But for the price, it could do a bit more. For example, it shows a small pouch in front and the picture shows it being used to store the wrench. For me, it’s not an everyday thing so I’ll keep that in my camera bag. What I really need is a pocket for a lens cap and this isn’t in an ideal position for it. If you don’t want to put the cap on the lens each time you dock the camera, they could interfere with each other if you want to use the pocket for a lens cap. The ideal position would depend on whether you are left or right handed so a small pouch on each side would have been good. The safety strap could have been better. It’s not the one pictured and the instructions say that the one included is for binoculars, but the company’s own website shows it as the included item. Given the limitations of the strap, I’d just as soon leave a standard neck strap on the camera. It will sit loosely on your shoulders and will look a bit sloppier but it will get in the way less. It has the added advantage of being there for times when you use the camera alone. The system should have accounted for an easy way to use the camera with or without it.These might be a couple of small items but for the price of this, I don’t think that it’s asking too much.

Awesome Harness, Awesome Company
I had some trouble at first, setting this up. Seems the screw s hould goin the slot, not the round hole. Also, the second hub was missing.Sent a late night message to the company, and when I woke up next morning, there was already a reply in my email. Explained about where the screw should go, along with a link to a very helpful video. And, the replacement hub was already on the way.Having spent decades working in customer service, I know that a ny product might have issues, but customer service is the most important. And, Cotten Carrier’s service is amazing. My new hub arrived today.Went out for a walk wearing my Cotten Carrier loaded with a Canon DSLR Camera and a 55-250 lens.. The harness held my gear securely and comfortably. Easy and fast removal when I needed to photograph some birds.Well made, quality item, that I expect to use for years to come.Thank you Brook, and Cotten Carrier!

Outstanding Gear for Carrying One or Multiple Cameras – Especially in active environments!
I had a trip to Argentina and then Antarctica on the schedule and finally decided that I had to go with two camera bodies because the diversity of potential shooting opportunities on a given day exceeded the reality of a single lens and you just can’t be messing around with changing lenses in a bobbing Zodiac boat or while trekking through the various landscapes and sometimes difficult footing. My plan was to take a Canon 60D with a 300MM Zoom and a Canon 6D Mk ii with a 17-44 MM Zoom lens so we are talking some weight and size!I tried a couple other products that essentially had the cameras hanging by a strap from your shoulder area or front of your chest. The cameras simply swung around and would get caught if you were maneuvering around or between things. Pretty disappointing until a local professional photographer told me about the Cotton Carrier. Problem Solved!!For about the same price of another product sold on Amazon you get a very comfortable vest that you can easily fit to your frame (I am 6’5″ and my wife is 5′ 6″) that offloads the weight from your neck to your torso and, most importantly, locks each of the two cameras in place (one on your chest, the other on one side or the other) while not in use. A 12″ or so lanyard connects to the camera and the vest so if you should let loose of the camera, it will probably survive most inadvertent ‘drops’. (I actually did this a few times while on this trip and no issues)A couple other features include 1. a tie-down strap for the camera on your chest – which would always be the one with a long lens- which keeps it from bouncing around as you get active; 2. A small pouch that carries a weather cover for one camera ( I used other solutions) and; 3. A place under the chest carrier for a lens cloth and the allen wrench you use to tighten the devices that bolt to the bottom of your camera that slide into the locking devices on the vest.We were on a small ship that was full of photographers and I was convinced after the first day, after watching all these people trying to carry multiple cameras or try to change lenses in the rain, snow and wind, that I made the right decision. I was even more sure when a handful of people asked me where I got my Cotton Carrier and said they wished they had one. Probably even most importantly, I was the guy that was NOT slinging my cameras around and getting in the way of others while getting on and off the boats but I WAS the guy that was able to, on demand, quickly change cameras to capture fast action and quickly changing opportunities with both landscape and wildlife. The Dual vest can also be used for one camera, of course, and I did that for a couple treks we did in Argentina prior to heading to Antarctica. In addition, you can buy an adapter that will allow you to not only use this vest’s quick attach and locking feature but also screw the camera into a monopole or tripod.I used this vest for 25 days, touring and trekking on land, and riding a bobbing Zodiac boat and in all weather conditions. It was the perfect solution for me and I’m glad I made the investment!!!

Really great product but if you want to use it with a tripod….
Pros: Great fit and finish. Really comfortable. Works really really well for the intended use. Secures camera very well, makes it feel weightless. Plays nice with a backpack.Cons: It’s expensive. Whatever system I use has to play nice with a tripod as well. I wasn’t pleased with the tripod mounting system (offsets the center of the camera to the tripod so panning will be affected) and the regular mount would have to be removed each time I wanted to mount it to any of my tripods. If it was half the price I’d consider keeping it, but at that price it had better do everything I need it to.

This is perfect when I use my large telescopic lens with my camera. It rests on the vest and leaves me hands free. There are videos available to show you how to adjust the straps and properly use the product on YouTube. This harness is worth every penny.
