Trustworthy with detailed reporting capability
Iâm impressed with this pulse oximeter (EMAY EMO-90). It provides many reporting options, is comfortable even for overnight use, has long lasting battery, is colorful and attractive, and â most importantly â appears to be accurate. Below are some of my initial impressions after trying it out.Pros⢠Appears to be accurate. Many less expensive oximeters produce readings that vary a lot within a short period of time. It is difficult to have much confidence in such readings. In contrast, the EMO-90 provides SpO2 readings that were steadier and more believable. The manual says, âCalculate the average value in every 4 measure value. The deviation between average value and true value does not exceed 1%.â I trust the SpO2 reading on this unit. (Pulse rate is also accurate, but that has not been a problem with less expensive units.)⢠Aesthetically, the EMO-90 is attractive with blue trim on front and a solid blue back.⢠The battery charge indicator always shows how full the battery is.⢠When I received the unit, it was already fully charged. A nice touch!⢠The EMO-90 is rechargeable. Unit comes with USB-A cable.⢠No power adapter is provided, but you can plug it into your computer or charge with one of your phone adapters rated at 5V DC and 1A.⢠Easy to install EMAY Pulse Oximeter app on smart phone and to use the Bluetooth connection. Within app, you can produce comprehensive report to read and/or send.⢠The software for the PC has many options and much detail is available. It is easy to connect to PC via the included USB-A cable.⢠It was relatively comfortable to wear overnight. Itâs fascinating to see how SpO2 and pulse rate change while we sleep. It records up to 72 hours of data.⢠The display is bright, colorful, and easy to read. When in record mode, the display automatically goes to sleep so you wonât be disrupted by its brightness while you sleep.⢠Just like a smart phone, the display automatically orients itself to whatever way the screen is being held.⢠Menu is easy to use once you learn that you open a menu item by holding the button for a couple seconds.⢠The unit turns itself off automatically when the finger is removed for a short period (i.e., less than a minute). You can also turn off the unit through the menu.⢠Instruction manual is colorful, easy to read, and easy to followMinor observations⢠Wish that it had a 12-hour clock (AM/PM) option instead of locked into 24 hour format.⢠The provided cable is USB-A (male) to USB-B (male). Be aware of this if you only have USB-C connections on your PC or power adapter.⢠When attempting to download the software to my PC, I received a warning from my antivirus/antimalware software. This sometimes happens with software delivered in this manner. Because I trust EMAY, I ignored the message and continued the download. The EMAY software installed smoothly without any further issues.

It works as intended, maybe saved my life.
I have had a problem with “tiredness” the last few months. My doctor recommended an “oximeter” to check my oxygen level from time to time and preferable overnight! I shopped around and found this unit at a reasonable price. I have had and used it now for about 3 weeks and find it accurate and VERY informative. It has revealed that on several occasions my oxygen levels dropped very low. They should not drop below 90 and mine were dipping below that. It is described as a “dangerous” situation. One is flirting with oxygen starvation and the resultant problems with heart, brain etc. I already have heart issues so this was very good information. The unit is easy to program and to set the alarm as you see fit. I have mine set to go off if it drops below 80. It is “rechargeable” and seems to have a good battery life for something very small. It has an “annoying” alarm which is what you want to wake you to get you breathing heavier. The only down side and it’s not worth taking a star it one of those “me” things. I worry about it slipping off my finger at night. I have acquired some of that “stretchy” tape and it helps secure it to my finger. You can use any finger you want or that will fit into the device. I have suggested to the company they create some sort of “holder” to help keep it steady. It has never slipped off my finger, but it’s one of those nagging worries. I will continue to use it till I am told to stop, but will still keep it around for “spot checks” of my oxygen level. I am scheduled for a “sleep study” to see what can be done about this oxygen problem. I should note…I am over 80 years old!So, bottom line, if you are tired all the time…snore loudly or awake suddenly and frantically…might look into this little guy.

Accurate, easy to use. Nice recorded O2 data.
The EMAY Sleep Oxygen Monitor works as expected, according to what is described. Just follow the directions. Battery life is easily over 11 hours when used for overnight O2 monitoring / recording. My fingers are on the long and slender side, so I was concerned that the finger sensor might fall off during sleep – hasn’t happened yet. The low-O2 alarm works great. It’s set at 85% O2 but I believe is adjustable.Easy to set up the computer software and the Bluetooth phone app. The recorded data presents nicely on the time charts. The setup menu is easy to access and use. The EMAY seems to have everything that I need.

Wonderful way to SpO2 levels.
This is a very nice unit for tracking oxygen levels while you sleep or for any extended period of time. The really nice feature of this one is that it connects to your computer and very easily uploads the data that it records and creates a report that you can print off and bring to your physician to discuss your levels. Other units in this price range don’t have that feature. This one also has a phone app available for Android and Apple that allow you to connect the unit to your phone through Bluetooth to upload the information and create a report that can be viewed on screen.I like the fact that this one comes with a lanyard, is fully rechargeable and takes three to four hours to recharge the battery from a dead state. It has a large, easy to read display that will shut off after a couple of minutes while it continues to record in the background so that if light disrupts your sleep, you don’t have to worry about the display keeping you awake. And a fully charged battery will allow you to record up to 48 hours worth of information.I have a couple of other pulse oximeters that I tested this one along with and found that the numbers on this are right in line with the other models available. So overall if you are looking for a unit that has a lot of really nice features in a very reasonable price range, this is the one you want to go with.
