PC 4K video ar 120hz
Purchased the 33′ long cord to connect my PC to my Sony TV across my room. Pushing 4K at 120hz with no video loss! Exactly what I was looking for.

4K works great.
I’m not sold on optical cables being something you need since copper does just fine at the same rated specs. Optical does, though, work at longer lengths, so it’s practical if you have long runs for cable management reasons.Higher throughput though? Nah. If you have a copper 8k cable rated at 60hz refresh, that’s what you get. If you have a fiber cable with the same rating, that’s what you get. It’s all dependent on the devices you’re connecting. If they’re rated with HDMI 2.1 and the cable is also rated to transmit over HDMI 2.1, then you’re solid with fiber or copper.

Does NOT support 4k60
I don’t know why 4k60 is so hard for optical HDMI cables, but this one doesn’t it. Zero connection off the bat. The cable included with the Xbox Series X works just fine, but I need 8 meters or more for my run.Oh well.

Cable works for 8k@60 Hz and 4k@120 Hz, with VRR, HDR, eARC, HDCP, Dolby Atmos, etc.
I tested this cable with an M2 Pro Mac mini and a Samsung 8k display, with a Dolby Atmos compatible sound system. That covers most of the feature set, including HDCP support by playing protected content from Amazon Prime Video. The cable works for both 8k@60 Hz and 4k@120 Hz, with high dynamic range (HDR) colour and variable refresh rate (VRR). For 8k, VRR was set to 48-60 Hz, and for 4k, it was set to 48-120 Hz. HDR content shows a much higher range of brightness levels than SDR, so it was easy to see that it was working, but I also verified that the display reported HDR.The Dolby Atmos compatible sound system is connecting using eARC, and I tested each of the channels, which all worked as expected. The cable I tested is the 3 m/10â one, but since itâs an optical cable, the results should be similar for the longer cables. The 3 m/10′ version is more expensive than some copper cables, so probably overkill, but the 100 m/330â is a great value. If I need something in that range at some point, Iâll definitely consider this brand.Iâve included four photos showing (1) the resolution and refresh rate reported by the display in 8k, (2) a chroma test image in 8k, (3) the resolution and refresh rate reported by the display in 4k and (4) a chroma test image in 4k. The photos were taken by hand with a phone and cropped/converted in GIMP, so they arenât perfect, but they get the important information across. The actual pixels on the display look sharper than in the photos.[One caveat with this cable, which led me to remove a star, is that I ran into a couple of brief disconnect/sync issues while playing audio/video content in a window and working in another. This issue has sometimes happened with this Mac using copper cables too, so Iâm not certain the issue is with the cable. However, the copper cables that I have running through a JTech HDMI switch (JTECH-4KSW3H1C) between the same Mac and display keep the display connected. If I manage to determine whether or not the disconnect issue is the cable, Iâll update the review and add or remove a star, depending on the outcome.]EDIT: Iâve now used this cable for a little while, with an 8k-capable PC at VRR up to 60 Hz, HDR and chroma 4:4:4, and there havenât been any disconnect/sync issues. The same applies with 4k at VRR up to 120 Hz, so I think the problem mentioned above was specific to the Mac. Since itâs worked perfectly with the PC, Iâve restored the removed star.Overall, this is a great HDMI 2.1 cable that I can recommend.
