Customers say
Customers like the ease of installation and functionality of the gas smoke fire alarm. They mention it works great, is easy to replace the old one, and interoperates well with interconnected smoke detectors. However, some customers dislike the value for money and have different opinions on brightness, sound quality, and overall quality.

Everyone Should Have in Bedroom
The flashing strobe light and alarm is great. Iâm hearing impaired and it would wake me up. But I believe all bedrooms should have one of these even if youâre not hearing impaired. Itâs extra insurance if a situation happens while sleeping.

Great for hearing impaired, but pricey
I wanted a detector with a strobe for some family members that are hard of hearing.Annoying part is having to have these hard wired. I did have some rewiring done and was able to have these hardwired and linked together in my house. When they do alert, the strobe light can definitely raise the stress level as it is different from the regular just beeping. But it does its job.If you are electrical savvy and want to add one to someone’s house that cannot hear, you can use the connectors provided and splice it to an appropriately rated cord with a plug and plug it into the wall.Only 4 stars because of the price.

Fantastic for hearing impaired
Wife got cochlear implants so basically deaf at night, this detector is a great answer to alerting her. The flashing light is almost blinding, works fantastically

Do they work? Or Not?
I tried TWO of these with the strobe for my semi-deaf hubby. The strobe did not TEST on either one, so useless for the amount of money – plus, the instructions, or lack thereof regarding whether they are shipped ACTIVE or NOT ACTIVE are very confusing – and smoke alarms are something I don’t want to guess at. So as much as I wanted the strobe option – these would not work.

One Of the Great Product at Affordable Cost.
Very easy to install and only took a few minutes to do. The flashing light is adequate enough to alert you of any danger when you are sleeping or just canât hear. A lifesaver for the deaf and hard of hearing community.

A must for anyone using hearing aids
This unit plugged right in to the existing, hard wired, smoke detector. Just unplugged the old one, plugged this one in, and snapped it into the existing holder. Flashing light is bright enough to wake a person that cannot hear the alarm. This one, or one with the same flashing light feature is a must for anyone using hearing aids.
