From the brand
I invented FLYGA for travelers who love efficiency and who love to support small businesses.
Hi, I’m Seth!
Inventor and owner of FLYGA, a proud small business from Arlington, VA. Despite what many think, we’re not some big international company shipping “a cheap widget” from overseas. FLYGA is a quality patented product that’s made in USA!
FLYGA took 3 years, 4 patents and countless hours to get off the ground. Made for the to-go cups, but with many great uses I hope you enjoy your FLYGA.
Please help us grow and give us a product review
Translated, “fly” in Swedish.
Before my wife and I had kids, we were lucky enough to visit Sweden to see the town here great grandmother was from. I was inspired by the utility, simplicity, and beauty of Swedish design.
Adventure, exploration and ingenuity are embedded throughout Scandinavian history. This is why the name FLYGA stood out. It represents much more than just the word “fly”.
Airplane Cup / Phone Holder
How did we get our start?
I was flying to Europe with my wide and she crushed her coffee in my seat pocket before I had the chance to even buckle my seat belt! I sat there for 8 hours staring and thinking “there must be a better way” Soon after, FLYGA was born.
What makes our products unique?
FLYGA is unique because 1) we’re made in the USA! 2) our versatility in the many problems it can solves in the air, and while on ground. And 3) the simplicity and usability o FLYGA. No moving parts make for a more durable and easy to use product when juggling so much while boarding.
Thank you for supporting my small business.
It has been quite the journey launching FLYGA while having 2 kids along the way. FLYGA really is my third child and I love how it makes people happy. If you have any questions please reach out, I’m happy to chat!
Safe travels,
Seth from FLYGA
Great cup or phone holder. Not designed for water bottles, soda bottles, or cans
Let’s be real, this is a plastic product, it’s not a luxury product. However, it is super handy and the experience it creates is one that is enjoyed over and over and over again
Invented for drink cups not bottles or cans. No more crushed cup in the seat pocket of airplanes, trains, or automobiles. Clip this travel gadget to hold that drink during taxi, takeoff, landing, or throughout the flight
Great phone holder for in-flight movies or as a handy kickstand at home or in the office. Great for video chats with friends and family
Customers say
Customers like the compactness of the cup holder. They mention it’s lightweight and easy to travel with. However, some customers have reported that the size is not as stated and only works with specific cup sizes. Additionally, they have issues with the fall rate. Opinions are mixed on functionality, sturdiness, and whether it holds cups well.

Great product!! My partner uses it every time they travel
I love this product. My partner was using the vomit bag tiktok trick for awhile which holds the phone, but who knows how dirty they are! I got this for them and now they use it every time they travel. It’s easy, a perfect fit, and works with all the different airlines. I recommend it to all my friends! I got jealous so I bought one for myself!

The best part is NOT using this as a cup holder!
I always carry a reusable bag with food/snacks and goodies (toys, books, small activities) for flights. The slit on the back of this cup holder held it up PERFECTLY so that I wouldnât have to keep my bag on the floor. It hung right in front of me so I could grab/throw in things easily without bending down and searching for things in my backpack. It holds up bigger coffee cups fine and even airline cups too. But water bottles and smaller water cups fall right thru. Any open cup made me nervous that it would spill since it fit looser on some trays than others.Using the phone holder while hooked on the tray works fine too. I didnât keep it on the whole flight tho. Just sporadically and it didnât fall.Note: this CANNOT be used while the tray is down. I just unhooked it and threw the cup holder in my reusable bag, and put my bag on the floor, if I was using my tray. Then hung it back up when I was done.Tip: I also put a carabiner on my reusable bag to hooked my water bottle on (since it fell thru the cup holder). So I had a drink in the cup holder, my bag of goodies hooked on the back, with my water bottle hanging on my bag, and it held up perfectly fine ðªð¼ But my favorite part was hanging small bags on it!!! Iâm going to buy one for each of my kiddos so that they can access their snacks/goodies easily for our next flight.

On what plane does this work?!
We have flown Southwest, Hawiian and American and this thing just doesn’t work! (My husband keeps asking why I bring it.)The little gap for hooking into the tray is too big, so it sags. So when you put a cup in, it tips and spills.Tried flipping it and tucking into the bottom holder, that worked a little better, but A) SUPER easy to bump. I spilled diet coke all over my bag.B) It still sags, so you can’t put an open cup (which most planes offer) in it unless you have drank at least half of it.If, and only if, you have a pre-bought drinks in a large cup with a lid and straw and it gets wider at the top, it will work. It won’t be secure, but if you’re careful, it will hold it.

Works many planes
This works well on many planes just not universal without a small modification. The one notch is a littleBig for some table trays but a wide rubber band can solve that.

A bit flimsy and only holds larger beverages.
Flimsy clip and too large to hold cup of coffee issued by the airlines. Due to the hanging position once clipped to the top of the tray in the closed position, my phone kept dropping. Sorry, had to return.

Works well on airline seats
The ease of use was quick, I was able to place my coffee in and out of holder. Nothing spilled and it didnât loose the lid. I will continue to use when I travel.

Useless for me, too big for average size cups or bottles
Why bother to carry it in my carry-ons on a plane, when it doesn’t hold a standard size water bottle or drink cup from the airline? Disappointed I bothered, and spent > $12 on it. I guess I should take the effort to send it back.

Perfect drink holder when traveling!
I fly often for work with only a carry-on suitcase and my backpack. This is the perfect accessory for me to throw on the back of the seat, set my Starbucks down in it and then lift my suitcase into the overhead storage. No more setting my drink on the seat to dump over before we even take off! I used it on both Delta and Southwest flights and it worked on both. The flight attendants couldnât get over them! These also fit the plastic cups they serve in flight but depending on how tight the holder fits, you may have to drink it down a little to ensure it doesnât lean forward and spill.Overall 5 stars, my parents even bought them for our family trip coming up after seeing mine! You wonât regret it!

Bought it for my adult daughter. She loves it.

It’s a nice idea but not sturdy for drinks good for balancing your tablet on to watch a movie
