Great cable…Giving you the color you asked for, though, appears to be optional 🙂
First of all, this is a great cable. But before we get to that: when the package arrives, I say to myself, “That’s odd, I don’t remember ordering purple. Hmph, whatever.” Sure enough, I did *NOT* order purple, I ordered red. So if the color is important to you, you might want to exercise due diligence here.As for the cable: It’s really good. I mean, REALLY good. Construction is solid, jacks on the end are excellent, snagless is done right, and so on. I laid the 100 ft out, set up a file transfer to another host on the LAN, and I got 998.9 Mbps on GigE, no drops/retransmits. All copper conductors. Personally, as I routed it through the joists and what not, I made sure I made very gentle turns. I don’t think you’re going to want to make a tight 90 degree turn with this, just give it a few inches to complete the turn. Came with a ton (more than pictured) of mounting clamps (the simple kind with the single nail and a nice rounded part for the cable), which I was happy to use. Unless the cable fails in some unforeseen way, this is probably the nicest 100ft cable I recall buying, while also being the least I’ve spent on a 100ft cable. Recommend.

Works as advertised, color looks nice.
I got the 100 foot brown version to match the wooden walls in my current abode, and it works as advertised. I didn’t break the ends running it through my walls, which is always nice, and I measured my speeds using Ookla’s servers – I went from (units in mbps):wifi – 114.8 down, 150.94 uptowire – 375.51 down, 196.40 upThat’s much more consistent with what I would expect to get using the connection I’m paying for, so… fantastic. Does what it says it does, is what it says it is, works better than my wifi. No complaints. And, the color matches wood.I think the only thing that would have made it better would have been if the fasteners that came with it matched the color of the cable, but.. standard black and white ones were really to be expected, if present at all. It was actually a nice surprise that it came with any.Would buy again if I need to run more cable in my log cabin.

Good connections. Speed is good. Good feel to the cable

No drop in speed
We use it for an extension, so I can plug my laptop in in another room, and it works perfectly. No drop in speed. I actually cut our one up, and put RJ45 heads on, and it is rock solid.

Does the job.
It’s Ethernet cable. Nothing special about it. It works as advertised. I didn’t test whether it’s truly copper cabling or copper-clad aluminum, but so far network performance has been fine.

Tried and True Hardwired
I bought two 100′ ethernet cables and ran them through the house thinking work from home would be temporary. After a year, they had been stepped on so many times they broke. When work from home seemed to be a never ending saga, I purchased these and ran them through the attic. I dropped them through the ceiling by a wall. These have a thicker coating and seem to be more durable. Next is hiding the cable on the wall.

great
great

The length and thickness easily covered three floors. Immediately the speed and interruption issues were gone. The light is bigger and brighter than a second older cable also plugged in. There seems to be no competition issues for the better signal in our home.
