Works Great
Easily connects to it’s app, wifi, Alexa, Google. It is definitely waterproof as evidenced by the heavy Florida rain and winds it was subjected to recently.

Fantastic option for HomeKit
This is my fourth Meross outdoor smart plug. I have three of the 2-outlet plugs that have been going strong for 3 years now. This 3-outlet one works great. Theyâre reliable with HomeKit schedules, too! Everyday I have scheduled actions with HomeKit, 4 times per day, and they always work. Sometimes if my WiFi gets wonky Iâll have to unplug them from power and plug them back in but thatâs rare and itâs always been because my UniFi Access Points stop broadcasting correctly, not because of issues with the Meross devices. Overall, very happy with their quality and highly recommend to Apple HomeKit users

Great outdoor outlet with nice remote controls
About a year ago I purchased the 2 outlet version of this outdoor weather proof outlet and I was very happy with that. (see my review). I was so impressed with it that I decided to add another one to the back yard to help me with switching some lighting on and off. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they not only added an extra outlet to the device, but they also made some nice improvements. The first improvement was the doors that keep water from getting into the outlets. They’re a little more manageable and easy to use, even though I never complained about the previous version. They also added the ability to use this outlet with the HomeKit on my iPhone and other iOS devices. That was really helpful for iOS control using my device. I no longer need to have an Alexa unit around me to turn on and off the outlets. Sure, I could use Alexa on the iOS to control devices, but with the HomeKit I can just say “Hey Seri” and then issue the command without having to open the Alexa app first. This device, like the other one has a very nice thick power cord and plug with it. So, I don’t feel like using all 3 switched outlets at one time is going to be drawing too much power from the 3 plugs. Another great feature of this device is the ability to independently name, and control each of the outlets. Unlike my X10 equipment, I don’t have only 1 switched outlet and 1 unswitched. This device allows me to have excellent control of all outlets available. There’s also an added water proof button on the top of the box to switch on and off outlets and make programing easily accessible. My only complaint about this unit would be the length of the power cord that goes from the box to the wall. I measured it at 6″. Although probably long enough for most people, I would have liked to have an extra few inches so that it could reach from the top outlet on my house to the ground so I can rest it there. There is a little nail or hook clip on the back of the unit a (see photo) so you can hang it on the wall, and that works. I guess I can understand why they did this, perhaps to actually keep the unit off of the ground so that water doesn’t pool up around the unit if it rains.Overall I would suggest that anyone who needs to have complete control of 3 independent outlets which are located in close proximity that they choose the Meross outdoor 3 outlet switch.

Ease of use – Product comparison
Ok… I own both the Meross and Tessan smart plugs. This is my opinion comparing the two:The Meross works with Apple Homekit, Alexa and SmartThings. I purchased it as I am slowly buying devices that work with Homekit… not sure why but it seemed like a good idea… control things with 1 app (in theory) rather than many… In any event, the Meross seems to get a stronger signal from my router than the Tessan, that comparison is with both plugs placed in the same location in my back yard mounted to a tree trunk and actually on the side blocking the WiFi signal. That is good. The spacing betwen the plugs on the Meross seems a little closer as I swapped what I had plugged into the Tessan to the Meross and found it to be a tighter fit. The build quality of both smart plugs is similar but I feel the Tessan has a nicer finish and maybe a tad bit more weight to it.Now I am relatively new to all this smart home stuff, I am relatively savvy with computers and my network but the apps and scenes and Homekit are something I am just getting into. That said, If you look at the pictures you will notice that the settings for the Meross are more complicated and require more steps to set a simple timer for an outlet than the Tessan. I also like the GUI of the Tessan app more than the Meross app.So conclusion, if you need / want a device that will work with Homekit, well it should be the Meross, if that is not important then the Tessan would be my first choice, and it is a few Dollars cheaper.I have purchased the Meross garage door opener and nightstand lamps and like them, and the smart plug works fine, I just don’t like the steps involved in programing schedules.

I bought this to turn on the block heater of my tractor at my rual property to clear snow when i arrived . Its about 2.5 hour drive turned it on when i left .When i arrived the tractor was fully heated didnt have to do a cold start. Easy hookup with the phone app about 10 min. I was so impressed i bought a light switch to turn on outdoor lights at nite when i arrive or if im viewing the remote cameras. This was about 30 min install .Only had this 2 weeks so cant give opnionon durabilty. The receptical seems to be very sturdy the wall switch is ok.These were not expensive and next day delivery. I chose 3 star for durability only have hat it 2 weeks.
